t take any medicine but I did make home remedies that consisted of teas with lemon, honey, garlic, and chayanne pepper. Google cough remedies and they give you information on how to make them and what ingredients. Now I am 11 weeks and no cough in sight.

went today to get the official work on my pregnancy and sign up for some assistance. now im home but have started coughing. my bf has the flu. when I cough I get some pretty long painful cramps. I don't have a doctor yet due to waiting to see if I qualify for some assistance through the state. don't know what to do. or what I can take for the cough.

Look up pregnancy rhinitis. You can have allergies during pregnancy. I had it and had to take claritin and benadryl during my pregnancy. My throat itched I sneezed all the time its caused because of the extra hormones.

Is it normal when I cough sometimes I leak? Im 19w+5d with a chest cold and am coughing alot is it normal.

I have never coughed so bad in my life and it just wouldnt stop. It lasted for about 30 minutes where I was coughing and gagging and couldnt breath and then when that happens I get so frustrated I start crying and cant stop. My dog thought I was nuts lol! But I drank some tea and took a bath and the bathroom had lots of steam so that helped I think... About to go buy myself a humidifier!

I wake up coughing my head off, stuffed up nose, and my ears are closed up. It is worse in the morning and night. I have read that the coughing won't hurt the baby. Trying to get to sleep is ridiculous. So far I'm just going with honey cough drops. I tried honey and lemon tea last night and that seemed to help me get to sleep. Just wondering what you guys think will help. I'm in my first trimester so I'm trying to be careful.

I've been sneezing, coughing and feel like there is a haze covering my brain!! On top of the already fabulous"baby brain" lol. What would be the best and safest medicine to help with symptoms so I don't have to worry about mixing drugs?

I have a head cold and doing all this coughing will it hurt the baby I hope not and can you take anything for the cold while you pregnant

I was given an inhaler and Tylenol with codeine just for at night to help me sleep. I also suggest a good humidifier one that you can see the "steam" basically make yourself a tent, drink lots of water, and get the vicks handheld breather thing (sorry drawing a blank of actual name....) you put vicks pads in it and breath it in and nd it helps calm coughs and non will help open sinuses. I've had bronchitis 3 times this pregnancy.

I have actually been through that when i was around my 10-12th weeks of pregnancy. I had a VERY bad cough along with gagging and lots of PHLEGM EWW!! lol and plus i stopped smoking also so my body was cleaning itself out ,but my doctor prescribed me some robitussin with NO ALCOHOL and it worked like a charm. I am not sure if they sell that over the counter but if you go to the drug store you can ask but remember its NO ALCOHOL. Hope i helped.

The coughing hurts, I think because I am so worried. I have been reading about coughing and sneezing and the effects on an unborn baby and it sounds like the baby is very protected inside us. (Big Bonus) On a side note, i have been sucking on cogh drops and using a neti pot (it's the only thing that I am trusting right now) and it is helping with my congestion.

I'm glad someone else posted this! I'm 37 weeks and this has happened to me all pregnancy! No reason for it, I'll just randomly start coughing. It usually happens when I lay down.

Lol make some nice chicken soup with lots of vegi and put vicks on your nose and throat and chest to help you breath and lay down the coughing

Lol! I pee a little when I sneeze! It totally ***** and I have to wear a panty liner alllll the time and a pad if I'm traveling.

I've gone this entire pregnancy without getting sick and am now 34 weeks and either have strep throat or a super bad cold or maybe a flu. I'm waiting for the swab confirmation to return. Has anyone else had to deal with being really sick later on in pregnancy and have any advise??

You can take Tylenol Cold, and at this point if you're coughing, you can take Robitussin (sp?). Anything else, ask your doctor.

I have an upper respiratory infection I'm coughing and my throat hurts and every time I cough I feel bad for the baby has anyone else have this and if u did was the baby fine after?

I have had a cold for a few days now with some pretty hard coughing. I have some sore abdominal muscles but seem to be on the mend (I hope!). After coughing at times, I have had some small amounts of stringy mucus (sometimes like egg whites). Tonight, I had a very small clump in my underwear, tinged slight yellow. Can coughing cause preterm labor or dislodge the mucus plug? I have had three children, all full-term, no problems with preterm labor.

I start having coughing fits and then I vomit..does anyone know anything about this?

I would recommend you see a dr. I have personally found since becoming pregnant it takes longer for me to get better. I got sick about 2months ago and my chest has still got phlegm in it. Hope you get better soon.

DH is a pharmacist and he did not let me have the halls. I don't know about the Ricola- you can ask your local pharmacist. He did let me take the Halls vitamin c drops because they don't have menthol.

t hurt the baby but I did have the flu really bad months ago and was coughing so hard I pulled stomach / chest muscles which hurt horribly.

The coughing & constipation may be causing the spotting and I've heard that brown is ok, but red is not. If it worsens, contact your dr. Not to be negative, but I had spotting with my last pg and I ended up having a m/c. I had one instance of bright red blood and then just some pink when I wiped. However, even my OB didn't think it sounded like a m/c, so I guess my situation was unique (also, I'm 40 and have clotting disorders). I hope everything works out fine.

Idk if you read my comment on your other post about the dry throat but I experienced the same thing at 12 weeks, first a dry throat, then a sore throat and coughing, after three weeks of coughing I was then diagnosed with pregnancy induced asthma....you should get check out with your doctor!
