In the past, if my chest begins to feel this way, it is followed by the painful cough and coughing stuff up. I would not call what I have sometimes as pain, it feels more like irritation. When I am active, as well as when I drink a lot of water, it seems to be much better. Sit in front of the tv and the next thing I know I have a glob sitting in my throat. Any information would be grately appreciated.
My doctor only let me take robitusin cough and chest congestion but it depend on how far along you are, i was in my first trimester, you may be able to take something else if your in your third
My doctor said robitussin dm is the only thing they know of that is safe for pregnancy. There is one for chest congestion and one for dry cough. I hope this helps.
My dr told me robitussin and when that didnt work told me mucinex to break up the congestion and dry up mucus

So like 2 weeks ago I started having a cough. . But then I started having a sore throat maybe a week and a half after the cough started... And that was the sore throat from hell. It still hurts now too. No matter what I drank it hurt.

I am now 35 weeks with my first and I have managed to come down with a terrible cold. Chest congestion cough runny nose sore throat whole 9 yards. I feel miserable and exhausted. I talked to my dr and said to take some benadryl and that's about it. Any other suggestions? I am miserable and don't wanna go into labor being sick!
s strange because I will have constant congestion and cough one day and the next day I will be almost clear. I know that if I have congestion one day the next day I will not. I plan my days accordingly. My dr. has put me on antiboitics and presidone twice in the last 3 months, I've had a chest x-ray last week, shows nothing. I have had allergies all my life. What I really don't understand is the on again off again cycle. Please help!
My question is the the last 3 months as I am laying down for a while I get a gurggle feeling in my chest and it almost feels like congestion so I make a cough to see if that would help and I have no congestion at all and the cough doesnt help. When I stand for a minute is when it will go away.

Delsym is the strongest over the counter cough medicine that you can get. Tastes terrible but it works! Is there any congestion and if so where (chest,face). There are 3 different types of Mucinex, maybe it wasn't the one you needed.
Hi! Iam currently 32 wks pregnant with my third and I recently got diagnosed with a upper respitory infection at a walk in clinic (not by my o.b.). What medications are safe to take to help alleviate symptoms if a sore throat, cough, congestion etc? I've been taking plain tylenol, cough drops, using a warm mist vaporizer with the liquid vicissitudes medicine you can put into it to help you breathe and I've been rubbing bucks vapor rub in my throat and chest. Any other suggestions???
