It is quite normal to have increased discharge through pregnancy. The things to watch out for are any itching, cottage cheese like discharge, burning, strong odor - if you have any of those then it could be thrush which you will need to take treatment for.
It isn't like a yeast infection--it is not like cottage cheese at all. It builds on my vaginal walls and when I wipe or itch, it looks like shredded paper. It doesn't smell weird or anything, it's just really gross and annoying. I have no idea what it could be. I'm on birth control and I am a virgin.
Yeast infections consist of a chunky white (cottage cheese like) discharge. If you have never had one, I would go to the doctor and get it confirmed. You can also buy Monistat 7 and see if that clears it.

Now it has slowed down. I'm now having sticky cottage cheese discharge n itches with lower abdominal pain n side. I keep feeling a pain in my breast. My partner said he was having a discharge n burning when he pee but he said that the burning feeling has stopped. My upper body feels sore. My friend told me I have an std.
Hi i've had a discharge from my vaginal area for 12 years. It started when i was 13, right when i began my menstrual cycle. Sometimes it a creamy white, yellowish discharge and at time it has an odor and sometimes not. And other times it has a cottage cheese look to it. I'm 24 and have had a myomectomy for fibriods. I do not have health insurance and this a serious issue for me. Is this going to affect my child birth options.
It's also very common to have varying amounts of discharge that could totally be normal. Yeast, is usually cottage-cheese like and may cause itching.
If you are experiencing itching in that region, or irritation, or clumpy white cottage-cheese looking discharge that seems abnormal to you, it can be yeast (had this happen to me twice already). It takes a gyno only a few mins to check it and a q-tip, so if it concerns you, see a doctor to verify it.

Discharge is normal during pregnancy but unless it's cottage cheese time, has a foul or fishy smell or yellowish then it could be something else

o A foul-smelling discharge is usually from an infection. o A thick, white, itchy, cottage cheese-like non-odorous discharge is often caused by a yeast infection. Common Causes of an Abnormal Vaginal Discharge * Vaginitis: Vaginitis is a general term that means "vaginal inflammation." Vaginal discharge and genital itching are the symptoms of vaginitis. Itcan have a very watery consistency or a thick gooey one. Discharge should never have a foul odor. Have a cottage cheese consistency or be yellow or green.
Hi.
I often will get a vaginal discharge that is whitish and larger clumps, I guess like the cottage cheese I hear with yeast infections. It is usually between 1 and maybe 3 clumps at a time. But I have no other symptoms, I don't detect any odor, no itching or burning or anything else I can tell. Can this be normal discharge or is it a sign of something? This has been going on and off for a few weeks I'd say now at least with no changes.
I have had vaginal discharge everyday for over 2 years. Its so often that I have to wear a panty liner all the time. It seems to have gotten worse over the last month or two and now has a fowl smell. It doesn't look like cottage cheese but is sometimes thick. And very seldomly I have intense pain in my pelvic bone. Can you please help me fix the chronic discharge and maybe give me an idea of what this is?
about two weeks ago i had sexual relations with another woman, and about a week ago i started noticing a foul smelling discharge that was cottage cheese like. it doesn't hurt to urinate and i don't have any sores or itchiness. i used an over the counter cure for yeast infections which seemed to help a little but the smell and discharge seem to persist. i don't know what it is...i've had a foul smell before but that was always right before and during my period.
Everything seems pretty normal, except the fact of the discharge, it's NOT like cottage cheese, it's more like lotion or creamy I guess. It is also a farmilar thing, not the first time it's happened, maybe it's just me but it also seems like it is comming from my urethra rather than my vagina. I don't believe it's ovulation either because it seems to happen almost everyday, and mostly when wiping after peeing.
If it smells rotten (like bad eggs) or turns colors...such as green...then you have a problem. If it begins to look like cottage cheese then it is a yeast infection which almost every woman gets from time to time...this will be accompanied by a severe itch. So...you don't have a problem. Hope this helps.
well it could be a simple case of pregnancy hormones, you tend to get alot more blood flow down there while pregnant so you may think that its inflamed, also alot of women experience a continuous vaginal discharge while pregnant as well, this is considered normal, if on the other hand your discharge looks like cottage cheese/lumpy and your vagina is itchy, you may well have a yeast (thrush) infection which is very easy to clear up

So today (7/8/08) we were messing around again and looking at my vagina after, i noticed that it was red, irritated, and a cottage cheese and thick in texture, white discharge was coming out. I am having vaginal irritation and itchiness as well, which has just occured 2 days ago from the above date. My boyfriend and I have never had vaginal or anal intercourse. He has also been tested for STDs and HIV; he has come back negative on all the tests.
My discharge users to be white, thick but not to thick, like the cottage cheese type. Now I just realized after urinating I had some boogery type of discharge. It was like yellowish green. I have only seen very little. Its nit to bad but what should I do?
I have sort of cottage cheese like discharge in my vulvic area. It doesn't have a smell to it. I began to feel itchy in that area right after sex. What is it? I thought a yeast infection was more like inside your vagina not on the vulvic area.
Having a brownish vaginal discharge is quite disturbing, trust me I know. There are several reasons this could be happening to you. It is not uncommon. But it is unusual that you have this discharge every day. It can be caused by Bacterial Vaginosis or a range of other things. Vulvovaginitis is the most common cause of a brown vaginal discharge. Vulvovaginitis is an infection of the vagina or vulva. It is caused by several things like Yeasts, bacteria, viruses.
I don't remember when I am due for my period but I'm pretty sure I'm late (but I'm normally a little late so that doesn't concern me too much). However, my vaginal discharge is white, eggshell color and thick and jello-y you could say. I just grab a piece of toliet paper and wipe it off and I can just grab it as if it's not a liquid (like I said, jello-y).
I have white discharge too! It DOES remind me of cottage cheese but I don't have any of the other symptoms. I tried medication for a yeast infection but it didn't go away. I don't know what to do because I am scared to have sex or be comfortable with my body!
Now 4 days in taking the medication and my vagina is more irritated and now I'm having heavy at times green/yellow discharge with little cottage cheese like chunks-gross I know. I'm just hoping this is a sign that the medication is working and getting the bad bacteria out? I Still have 3 days to go, so hopefully this medication finally takes care of this annoying condition! I hope everyone has found relief for theirs!
I am currently 2 yrs and counting. Ever since, I have been more involved in watching my vaginal discharge, and I notice that my discharge is clear but has white clumps in it (similar to clumps of cottage cheese). It tends to be thick as well before menstration. I sometimes have to stick a finger in my vaginal canal while in the shower to make sure I have cleaned myself properly, because I believe the discharge is so thick that it stays inside of me.
