So here they go, another year without health insurance because they can’t come up with the monthly premiums for coverage, and on top of that, now they will get penalized for not having health coverage. I am watching my kids get sicker and sicker and I fear for her safety as she still cannot get her screening for her cancer. I need some answers. I can’t sit back and continue to watch my son and daughter in law get sicker by the day because they cannot get their thyroid medications.

So now the total cost of medical care with United catastrophic insurance is $6300 and uninsured out-of-pocket cost is $3600. I suppose by your post that you do not have Insurance and I'm not too sure where you would get help in this type of situation. If you haven't had positive Mammograms or some form of indication that you may have a suspicion of Breast Cancer I really see no reason for a Mastectomy at this time. I wonder if you have even found a Surgeon who would perform this procedure at this point.

I am pregnant with my first child and I had the same question about how much it would cost. I have insurance but mines was able to give me an estimate of how much a vaginal birth and c - section would cost out of pocket. Vaginal birth was about $5,000-$6,000 and C - section was about $8,000-$9,000. I am assuming this varies depending on labor. Hope this helps some.

But this forum has already helped me put my mind at peace. I called my insurance Co. without knowing my results yet and gave them names of possible meds for the "triple treatment" and all are covered with a co-pay of course. I have figured out my finances if i have to take leave and I have 4 1/2 months worth of sick pay and vaca. Like any health treatment, it can be quite costly without insurance. If you are in the states, I would recommend going to Planned Parenthood. They will charge you on a sliding scale fee or for free and make things very affordable.
