Avatar f tn I would be getting my uterus and cervix removed. How much do they cost out of pocket and is there any kind of financial assistance that would help me pay for the medical bill?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know of IVF clinics in Prague or Mexico? I am looking for a cheap IVF treatment overseas.

206807 tn?1331936184 However what concerns me right now is the various rebellions in the countries in the mid east not becauase I would want any of the leaders in place but because I dont know whats replacing them. I dont see any shifts to a democracy and quite the opposite. In some ways it reminds me of when the Soviet Union broke up. However there at least some of the countries became working democracies.
Avatar n tn The trend today is medical tourism. Some of the popular countries in medical tourism are Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Poland, India and Thailand. Excellent medical procedures abroad are very affordable in terms of dollars. See the price of plastic surgery in Mexico, for example, at http://www.myplasticsurgeryinmexico.com/ and see the difference. Their medical packages already includes the whole medical procedure, accommodation, and food.

Avatar m tn I'm planning on getting a reversal in January or February. I think the statistics as far as success depend on many factors, such as your age, any other fertility issues, etc. Definately do research on your doctors. I've narrowed it down to two doctors - one in Mexico and one in North Carolina. I'm going with the one in Mexico for two reasons: 1) every review I've read from women who have gone to him is excellent.
Avatar n tn I know of no surgical discounts available for donation of excess skin. Going out of the country for surgery has its drawbacks and benefits. The cost savings can be there, although you now have to factor in airfare. The big drawback is very limited follow-up and potential lack of qualification of the surgeon. Follow-up over the long haul is essential after major surgery for mass weight loss.
947949 tn?1245897538 My friend wants to get her tubal reversal done oout in Mexico. Does anyone know how much it will cost her? I'm not to thrilled with the idea of her having it done in mexico but it's what she wants to do. So I'm doing the best I can to find out if there is a place she can go have this done that would help her for cheap and keep her safe. Please enlighten me with some positive feedback. Thank you and God Bless.
Avatar n tn I live in TX but i do not know of any jobs that will pay for it! Have you gave any thought at all to going to Mexico? It cost half of what it does here about 4,000.$$!!
Avatar n tn t know if I really have a question or just feel like there are people here that understand....I had a total hysterectomy at 32 because of severe endometriosis(all three types). By the time I found a gyn to do the laparoscopy, I looked to be 7 months pregnant and I was a gray color from the blood loss in my abdomen! The surgery took over three hours to remove adhesions etc. I should say that I have 6 biological children and two stepdaughters.
Avatar m tn Sustained viral response was achieved by 44% of patients. At 48 weeks, the cost of telaprevir was $55,273, of peginterferon was $30,418, and of ribavirin for $4926. Telaprevir accounted for 61% of the $90,617 total, Bichoupan noted.
Avatar n tn unfourtunalty it seems to come with the surgery,,most gain an adverage of 20 lbs in a years time and seem to maintain that, all I can suggest is speak with your Dr about a exercise routine, what diet may work best for your metabolism ( a endocrinologist may be best for this as they can measure all hormones) last resort if you have the money and it really bothers you would be cosmetic surgery such as lipo or a tummy tuck do NOT do this with out several consults and certanity nothing else will
Avatar n tn Having a hysterectomy does not mean that everything comes out; hysterectomy is the removal of just the uterus; the full hysterectomy involves removing everything: ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the uterus!
Avatar f tn I used Dr. Perez in Rio Bravo Mexico like 10 min over the McAllen border. His staff is awesome and thier sucess rate is amazing!
Avatar f tn s uterus grew back after a hysterectomy. So I guess what I am asking is what are the chances of this happening and is it possible to have a child with my husband. we banked his sperm before he started chemo. but we do not have the 12 thousand dollars to have the IVF and surrogate. Could someone PLEASE help me with this..
Avatar f tn I experienced a similar 2 hand. In the mid nineties my husband went through interferon/ribaviran 2 courses of tx. The 1st time for 6 months, a year later for 1 year. It was horrible!!! I felt so bad for him. I'm an RN (now retired) and did what I could to help him through it, which wasn't much. God he was sick! His viral load was greater after treatment than it was before.
Avatar f tn Thank you for asking me the question. I had it written down on my notepad as something to look into but you pushed me forward. I have been reading up on it and I will indeed add it into the mix if at all possible and I will be asking my doc to give me a script for it. Otherwise, I've started pricing what they cost in Mexico compared to here. Learned they're OTC in Mexico so no script required. Will post once I get it all worked out.
Avatar f tn and IUI is around 450 dls. I have been having all of my treatments here. Also in Mexico there is no need for prescriptions to buy meds, its scary but its the truth.
7450908 tn?1390996321 I live in a rural area of Mexico, where a good doctor is very hard to find. I've been sick for about 3 years now & not one of the doctors that I have seen has done much testing. They don't even ask what medication I might be allergic to, they just give me medication for what they think is wrong with me & I have to deal with possibility of not being able to take the medication, because it turns out I'm allergic. Finding an eye doctor here is even worse.
1310633 tn?1430224091 The minors flooding over the border are often teenagers leaving behind poverty or violence in Mexico and other parts of Central America such as Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. They are sometimes seeking to reunite with a parent who is already in the United States, also without documentation. "This is a humanitarian crisis and it requires a humanitarian response," Senate Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Barbara Mikulski said in an interview.
Avatar n tn After doing a lot of research and asking a lot of questions, my husband and I have decided to go to Dr. Perez at Rio Bravo in Mexico. The cost is about half of what it would be here in the states. If I were going to have it here, I would go to Dr. Berger in North Carolina. The staff in Mexico is really easy to work with and, from all the reviews I've read, the doctor is really wonderful. Please write me if you have questions...
