your son has apparently experienced positive results with Concerta which is a form of methylphenidate, while Adderall is a form of dextroamphetamine (Ritalin and Dexedrine). Frequently the forms of methylphenidate work better for ADHD Hyperactive while the dextroamphetamines work better for the Inattentive. Which is your son? To compound matters further if he is an "active" young man, is his activity "motor" or "distractablitIy" driven?

I can see being on V and perhaps adderall in the late after noon. Or concerta and ritalin in the late afternoon. Since the Concerta/ritalin are the same type of meds. Same thing for Vyvannse and Adderall. Point being, why was the V not working for you? What symptoms did you have. I would think that the two could have been over dosing you. my family and i went to the child phycoligist last night and after 2 yrs of treating my son with adhd he finally came to a diagnose of aspergers he is still on concerta which i just started and i am just going to start seroquel 25 mg to try to get him started on some kind of a balance the doctor was explaining to me using different meds will balance everything i hope.i was a little back taken with the diagnose as you can imagine.but he is showing signs of asperger symptons.
