Avatar f tn honestly, if I were you, I'd find some way to make it back to Canada for your delivery. o had a friend who did that because it is ridiculous. this only works if you retain citizen status, of course.
Avatar f tn In California, it cost us about $18K out of pocket with all the meds (my husband had to do an extraction, though, so that tacked on $2500). The cost can vary some depending on what your particular issues are. But yes, it's very expensive if your insurance does not cover at least part of it.
Avatar m tn Currently he is in his native country but we are thinking of bringing him to USA for better treatment. He is a US citizen and has insurance here. he was out of USA while he got sick. My question is, is it wise to bring such a patient to USA considering high medical costs here. I live in USA and make around $40k per year. I cannot afford nursing home and it is almost impossible to work and take care of him at the same time.
Avatar f tn Dr Zenn at Duke told me the first step of Diep will cost sixty thousand.. with tmy insurance paying eighty percent of what they think he should have charged. I have Mega Life and they do not pay well. They only pay a maximum of two thousand for ambulatory procedures. Would breast reductioin and lift by ambulatory? Would tissue expander placement be ambulatory. How much would that cost... a range? How much for the implant placement. Is it ambulatory as well?
Avatar f tn Be sure and do lots of research before going to one of these clinics. Of course every MS specialiist is not created equal and you need some really good references before making that trip. Take care Tammy - Hugs!!
Avatar m tn You are lucky to have a health professional in the family who can give honest advice. I am still hunting for a doctor who does not act like they are always on the clock an walks out on you before you get a word in. Health folks in this country just want to push drugs and costly tests to keep the money flowing thru the system. I'm especially worried about some of these medications in terms of bad side effects and the cost which I just can't sustain.
19887518 tn?1486048647 s a function of cost and invasiveness. They all start with basic heart rate and blood pressure, then EKG, then halter monitor, then Echocardiogram, then Nuc stress test, then angiogram, with each being more costly and more invasive, and also more accurate. I understand your frustration, been through it too, but this is how they do it. DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a doctor. You should only accept medical advise from a licensed professional.
Avatar m tn I buy T-***** for my company and I buy only made in USA. I also put "MADE IN THE USA" on the front of the shirt below the company logo. I give them away and I sell them cheap - $7.50 for a 100% cotton short sleeve USA shirt and $10 for a long sleeve T-shirt and people love them. I have had people call me to ask where I got them because they want to buy American made for their businesses.
Avatar m tn Hi all, one of my friend diagnosed to have benign thyroid lump which is about 3x3 cm big (told by the result of biopsy). Since he doesn't have any insurance in USA. I have two questions. Firstly, if he doesn't take any treatment, will the lump gone by itself some times? And without insurance, how much do you estimate to do an operation to remove it?
Avatar f tn The new test that usually gives the answer is very easy to do and is called a macular OCT if that is indeterminate than a retinal fluoriscene angiogram (of the eye not brain and carotids) is usally done at the same time. I don't know where you live but retina ophthalmologists would not let your mom walk out the door without one or both tests being done. See if you get her to a retina MD tomorrow. ERs are not equipped to do this testing.
Avatar f tn how much dose the 3d/4d ultrsound usually cost? Dose anyone know if insurance covers it?
1136810 tn?1269261778 We are visiting California in May and I wanted to be an additional driver on our hired car rather than have hubby do all the driving. Anyone know if there is likely to be any extra cost (other than the initial add. driver payment) with me having MS?
Avatar m tn I don't know if we have any members from India currently or not ..There was one " murajji, "however I have not seen him post for many months.. At the time he was posting Incivek was not available in India , Your doctor would know.. If not available I do know across the "Gulf of Oman just in the last few days In the UAE "Victrelis"(similar type of drug for HCV) was approved for use there(see link below). I don't know if that would be of any help to you or not.
Avatar m tn My husband is currently on treatment and may be switching insurances because the current policy we have will only cover up to $25,000 a year in prescription costs (after a $700 deductible), and treatment will be more than that (he's a geno 1, expected tx timeframe being 48 weeks or more...). In our case, as example, the new insurance will allow a $10 copay/month per rx @ a pharmacy, or /3months through mail order.
Avatar m tn Seems to me that a CT angiogram is less risk than a cath angiogram, both requiring some amount of radiation, but the cath carrying addition risks due to being more invasive.
1430704 tn?1306387507 Hi Yes I have had it done. It hurts and you have to wear compression stockings (if you are having it done on your legs) for at least a week but it really is worth it. I am extremely fair and had a ton of spider veins on my legs. It will not control every single tiny vein and there are some that have not gone away 100% but it is a really great result I have and am happy. I don't know where in the world you live and will presume you are in USA.
