If im 30 weeks would i be able to tell if im having contractions? I can feel my stomach get hard but i think it be the baby since it dont hurt.

It's most likely your baby getting into position. Meaning "engaging". It will be pretty uncomfortable for the next weeks until you deliver. But this is a good sign it just means you're that much closer. I'm sure at your next appointment if you ask to have it checked they'll have found you've started to dilate or efface!

Hi all. I am 32 weeks and experiencing contractions every night for the past week. Idk why they only come at night but I don't experience them during the day. They are to the point where it is difficult to breath through them. I don't want to call my doctor because they will only tell me not to worry but I can't help but worry.

My OB told me when I feel like I cant walk or is having lots of pain in your stomach & below for more than an hour then you should go to the hospital.

Well, the problem is that Braxton Hicks contractions and regular contractions feel really similar. It sounds like you only had Braxton Hicks, especially if the ER staff did not admit you. I don't know if this is your first pregnancy or not, but they may not be contractions at all. Contractions are a WHOLE different ballpark than any other pain you've ever experienced. Not only because of the pain level, but because of the way your body reacts.

That's what happened to me.. So yes! I would go in . I did that at 30 weeks & they had to stop my contractions & my cervix was already 3.2cm & its suppose to be 4 cm long.

When I got there the bleeding had stopped and with monitoring they seemed unconcerned about the bleeding. During the monitoring we the saw I was having contractions and so they gave me a shot to slow down them down. I was put on bed rest and told to come back if contractions continue. The problem is I can barely feel them. At first I thought those were just braxton hicks. In fact, my contractions feel a lot like when they move and reposition themselves together.

Time them. Drink some water and if you've been active, lay down or if you've been resting get up and walk/pace in your house.

Just got back from emergents again i was there a week ago for the same reason i keep getting bad contractions and they dont go away just in there last time they had to do me 2 perfusions to slow them down and now 1 plus pills to stop them im so scared even thou i was a sure she is not coming yet or before term i cant explain way i have them tomorrow i will see my ob to check him because they give me at emergents some pills to take every time it happens but want to make sure there are the best th

If you've had them all day 10 minutes apart I would contact your doc or labor and delivery as this sounds like consistent contractions and I'm guessing you may need checked!

I'm a ftm as well but from what my ob told me my understanding is that most hospitals admit you after 3cm dilation so you should be good to go but for myself i'm planning on doing most of my labouring at home so if you've been in the early stages this long and contractions haven't gotten any worse chances are you'll be there for hours if not days before things get started which is what I don't want to happen to me so I'd start walking until the contractions at least g

Tylenol is safe during pregnancy, but I don't think tylenol will do much to help with labor pains. The more contractions you have the more dilated you will be. Have you been back to l&d to see if you've progressed?

4-6 or more regular contractions in an hour are probably more than by contractions. If you've had regular contractions for 5 hours you may want to go get checked out tonight and not wait.

I know that there is no way to tell for sure but for the last few weeks I have been having very irregular contractions but beginning today I have been getting more regular contractions which kinda feel more like super de dooper intense menstural cramps. How do I know if im having real contractions? I went to the doctor this morning and everything was fine.but about an hour later I was in the store and I felt this popping feeling in my vagina and then it was followed by a horrible constant pain. After it went away I started walking again and I got another sharp pain and I did that at least 7 times and I was in tears because it hurt so bad.

Im 37+5 my contractions started at 12pm i woke up with them & really sweating,(hot) i could cope with them so i stayed in bed, at 4am i fell asleep now its 9am they have stopped. :( any ideas to start them again ?
