First and foremost i have to thank you all for always answering my questions and being nice! Heres my labor story
I was having pains at 9 pm monday night but it wasnt painful i wasnt gonna go in but my friends from fb and roommate made me go in... i got to the hospital around 1am the nurse said i was having contractions they were going to stop my labor but i was already dilated to 5 centimeters!
45 days to go.. Ready to have my prince in my arms.. This is baby #4.. Feeling pains right there and then but I'm doing great how about you all how many weeks and how are you all feeling?
My Dr will not induce if neither of us is on distress. ***** being in pain all the time. My contractions do sometimes let up. Yours?
Do you have to have contractions in order to dialate? I keep reading storys of women saying " oh im dialated to 2 and didnt even know it" hows that even possible?
I ended up getting the epidural after 7 hours of labor with horrible contractions and only dilating about a cm and a half in all that time. When I decided I really needed it it took the anesthesiologist over an hour to get to me and by that time I was crying for it. I was so happy once I finally got it but ended up being in labor for a total of 25 hours and pushed for 4.
Braxton Hicks and contractions are two seperate things. When you are in labor, contractions are what happens when you dial ate is the best way to explain it.
Braxton hicks feel like contractions but its more like muscle spasms.
did you get induced? im going to be induced at 37 weeks bc baby is small and I was just wondering what to expect and how long it'll take to actually have her?

You will know contractions when they start...some people say it feels like really bad cramps but incant explain how it feels.. to me its way worse than cramps.. also your body will know when its time to push.
My water broke the morning I was due,I had no contractions for 9 hours then bam! I was in hard labor (contractions every 2 minutes) for 18 hours. If you still haven't had your baby try gently massaging your nipples. No longer than 5 minutes each though. After the five minute intervals wait at least an hour before doing it again.
They may be regular contractions if they are patterned. My contractions are never very painful until my water breaks.
I am confused as to what is happening... iv been gettin bad cramps all day long... has not stopped... this is my sec child so i no what contractions are like... this feels like extra strong period pain nearly making me feel nausious... i am nearly 38 weeks... i have said this to my mam and she said to wait it out and see what happens... im not sure i agree with her... can anyone shed a light on whats goin on???
make sure you know if they have this rule in case you want epidural...I had all my children four of them without it ....

All of this was really helpful. Thank you. Its funny how when you first get pregnant you imagine labor or I did anyway as the first time you experience contractions or feeling off..I didn't expect so many contractions beforehand that were false alarms. I didn't expect so many false alarms period. Its hard for me not to overthink it. I guess ill know or have some clue when d day is here.
Not a question but I have been having contractions all night long. Im waiting for them to get less than 5 minutes apart. So painful. Im 38 weeks and 2 days.
