I just need some advice on what the next step is.
482526 tn?1208452584 I totally agree that what you are seeing is more age appropriate for a kindergarten child. However, I teach in Texas and what I stated as expected to start Kindergarten comes directly from our new state Pre-K guidelines. It is so scary. I receive these 4 yr olds who can't even hold a pencil and don't know any letters. However, by May they should all be writing their names and know all letters, upper and lower.
304653 tn?1217001302 WIth my youngest, I sat through a Kindergarten orientation meeting having contractions the entire time. I thought my water was going to break at any moment. Water broke 2 days later soon after we arrived back home from a Mother's Day brunch. I was praying during brunch that my water wouldn't break while we were at the restaurant!
Avatar f tn My nuclear cardiology - myocardial perfusion interpretation worksheet stated that my ejection fraction was 98%. I phoned the nuclear medicine dept. to express my concern that this was incorrect. After they reviewed the test results, the new revised worksheet shows ejection fraction = 92%. Is this possible?

Avatar n tn my daughter is 4 years old her date of birth is sep 10 04 can i send her to kindergarten next year not this year because she did not go to preschool and i think that she is not ready to go this year
Avatar m tn I took a look at the image CD myself and noticed some issues with the final report, worksheet and the actual images. On the images, the left thyroid has a measurement tool highlighting the nodule. It shows 10mm x 5mm and another image showing the height of 7mm. So I would expect 10mm x 5mm x 7mm, but the final report says 8mm x 7mm x 5mm, which I don't see anywhere in the images.
89592 tn?1391274422 9 alk phos 84 iron 77 ldh 223 tibc 362 how does mildly diffuse (found on worksheet-diffuse) hetergeneous echogencity compare to coarsened hetergeneous echotecture? Same hospital..2 diff techs. The last tech seemd to take more time with the scan. I'm hoping these are simple cysts...since I didnt find out the first cyst in rt lobe was complex until I checked the worksheet that came with the CD.
Avatar f tn com/calculators-birthplan#articlesection1 this page has an outline of the basics of what a birth plan is. it also has a worksheet you can take a look at .
Avatar m tn She was tested at 3 years old for preschool and scored at a 5 year old level. Now she is 6 and in kindergarten. I received phone calls and e-mails from her teacher and the school principal at least 2 or 3 times a week.

5549102 tn?1376522673 You can look up birth plans on the internet, and sometimes your doctor will provide you with a worksheet for one. Mine gave me a seven page packet for a birth plan that explains what my options for medication/freedom of movement/relaxation tecniques are. It gives me space to write what my feelings are about each option, and covers a lot more then what I wrote above. Just remember your birthplan is going to be a guideline for them to follow your wishes. It's not a contract for you or them.
2113262 tn?1346101921 Ok sort of a vent, I feel so bad. Here I am at 3 in the morning having regular contractions every two minutes. They arent horribly painful but enough so that I cant sleep. I cant wait to meet my baby but I cant help but think NO not tonight!!

Avatar f tn I have read all my school books did every worksheet possible. I bought a smart TV for Netflix and watch most of everything on it. Don't have any friends and don't have a bf and my bd just doesn't exist. Ugh!! Help???
Avatar f tn My son will be six on the 28th of this month and has recently started Kindergarten. The Kindergarten experience has turned into a nightmare for me. We cannot go a day without a negative report from his teacher - he refuses to listen, disrupts the class, takes down things hanging on walls, bulletin boards, etc.., and has just yesterday cut a classmates hair.
Avatar n tn He has been in a school environment since he was three and is now in Kindergarten and an afterschool program. At one point, I could have called him the perfect child behaviorally, well mannered, smart, kind, had lots of friends, etc. Within the last year I have noticed some real changes, he lacks confidence and is very sensitive, is very hard on himself, and sometimes exhibits high anxiety.
Avatar m tn Hi I have posted some earlier problems regarding my son in kindergarten. His teacher is quite critical of him in the classroom, says that he does not pay attention and cannot work independantly. I have been lucky enough to help out in the classroom and observe him at the same time. He can be a little inattentive but is quiet and competes the work if it is of interest to him. His teacher rarely gives him any praise for good behaviour or work,, but will give certain other kids praise all the time.
Avatar m tn Well, one of the kids just did not work out in one of the kindergarten classes-- it just did not work. This K teacher was the same teacher of all prior 6 kids in this family had for K-- but this last one, well-- nope. Not a bad kid, not a bad teacher-- just a bad fit, apparently. You know what? He was moved to another class room in April of the school year-- based on agreement with the principal. It worked out fine. Things improved for the child very quickly.
Avatar m tn My daughter has suffered this past year from sensory issues--her clothes don't feel good. We can go days where we can't leave the house because nothing feels good to wear. She was in preschool and i was at home with her so when push came to shove we didn't have to do things most days. I ended up correlating the sensory issue with ear infections. we would treat the ears and she would be back to a happy kid.
Avatar f tn My son is 5 and is in Kindergarten. Just has his annual meeting for his IEP which was integrated with his parent/teacher conference. He's been in speech therapy for the passed two years. Good news, he's on track with his speech and he is on track academically; Not so great news, he's a rigid, disruptive student, who needs constant prompting to stay on task. Examples of rigidity: Must be last in line. Must sit in certain spot on carpet.
Avatar n tn Just spoke to my daughter's kindergarten teacher and she is concerned about our 5 year old. She has days that she seems to be in her own world. They'll be lining up for music and she'll be zoned out in a book or looking at something in the classroom. Sometimes she'll be in the meandering in the hallway at her locker before school while the other kids are already sitting on the rug in the classroom.
Avatar f tn My 5 year old son is in kindergarten. He attended preschool/daycare for 3 years. He is very bright however his teacher complains that he doesn't follow directions and sends him to the principal's office. By the time he gets to the office he forgets why he was sent there. What can I do? I feel that the teacher should be more proactive and immediate in discipline in the class room. He tells me often that "Mrs. Blank was mad at me".
Avatar n tn My son has attended pre-school since he was 2 slowly working up to 4 days a week from 9-1 last year. He was extremely excited about going to Kindergarten asking throughout the summer is it was time yet. After the first day he had what we felt was probably very normal feelings about it - doesn't like it, says its boring, all that. A few days later he started crying as soon as he wakes up and my husband leaves him in his class crying. He cries on and off throughout the day.
Avatar m tn I am a kindergarten teacher and have taught in some extremely difficult urban schools. I have seen pretty much everything. My first guess is the teacher is fairly new to teaching 5 and 6 year olds. I say that because, parents are not usually the source of the resolution to the problem. Any good K level teacher knows the answer lies within. Firstly these kids are 5 and 6, and early Kindergartners to boot. Impulsivity and chattyness is par for the course.
Avatar f tn Some have been at home with mom their entire preschool years and some have been in preschool/mini kindergarten for a couple of years. So in kindergarten, you get a wide range of kids with different abilities and experience that they must be prepared to handle. Is your son on the young side for kindergarten as he is still 5 in May? Is he a summer birthday? A child can be academically prepared but not developmentally mature enough for kindergarten. Do you think this is going on?
