I honestly cant tell a contraction vs her just stretching in there.

Ugh I'm on the same boat with you I'm 36 weeks n been feeling the same!!

It really just feels like constipation with cramping and pressure but my mom says possibly contractions? Does that make sense?

Contractions feel nothing like Braxton Hicks contractions. They are very painful whereas BH contractions are just uncomfortable. It's hard to explain how they feel but you will definitely know when you are having them. They are pretty powerful.

I wouldn't say it's too soon/too early for them. I started feeling them even before that. I'd be very careful of them. Make sure you're resting, increasing your fluids, and timing them. I ended up in preterm labor several times because even though I had told my doctor about my braxton hicks, and cramping, they pushed it off like nothing, and it wasn't until a bit later that I ended up with preterm labor and the hospital was telling me I was going to deliver premature.

38 weeks pregnant and I've been getting period like cramps all night keeping me awake. They aren't regular yet, but does your stomach always tighten with real contractions? Seems the cramps come and go but there's no contracting. Sorry for silly question I'm ftm!

Tonight as I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, my stomach was cramping really bad, but I had the rush feeling again. This time when I wiped there was slight goo with a streak of red blood. I wiped a few more times & the tp was pink. I walked around my apt & the pain in my back & cramping got intense then calmed down & hasn't been back yet. I'm wondering if maybe labor is soon? I've heard diff opinions on if the plug & show are the same thing or not?

I had mine done the day before my due date, was cramping for hours and about 12 hours after getting it done I noticed a very noticeable decrease in movement with my baby but was still feeling him move just not nearly as much so I went to sleep woke up next morning & realized I wasn't feeling him move at all...went to L&D and turns out I was in labor! Doctor said a lot of times you'll notice a decrease in movement when labor isbeginning.

I am 38weeks and have been having contractions since I was 34 weeks. Granted they are strong braxton hicks and they have d ialated me up to 3cm. my mucus plug came out a week ago. This may be tmi but ive also been having multiple bowel movements a day.Everything points to me going into labor any second now but its just not happening. The contractions get stronger every day but they come and go. I feel like when I actually go into labor I won't know (unless my water breaks).

Jasmine from experience she is right that isn't true. We can have contractions and not even feel them. I had to have premature labor stopped and the contractions felt like nothingmmore than mild cramping I was able to talk laugh and joke. And in past I've had BH that have brought tears to my eyes. It's hard to tell difference solely on pain, only way to know the difference for sure is to time them.

First of all, congratulations. It sounds like you are getting very close. I will suggest one thing...drink lots of water (may help). If the contractions are not regular, but they are strong and hard to deal with, you can also try having a glass of wine or alcoholic beverage of choice. I know alcohol used to be oe of those no-nos during pregnancy, but recent studies have proven otherwise and one or two drinks at the end will not have any negative effects on the baby. Now BH vs.

I'm 34 weeks and started having menstural like cramping with back pain and tons of contractions which I didn't know they were contractions since I've never had them but they were pretty painful I ended up going to l&d and they said it was the right decision I was given shots and fluids to stop contractions and sent home with meds to stop contractions apparently they were 3 min apart while at the hospital but I can't tell what's going on with all of the other pain I have

It could be Braxton-Hicks, or contractions if it's on and off cramping that's Braxton-Hicks, but if the pain increase and are constant contractions.

Could be Braxton Hicks - they can be brought on w/ movement (walking etc.) and can get painful toward the end of the pregnancy. If you experience 4-5 of these within an hour, be sure to head to L & D to get checked out though.

If your not sure go to the er! I went yesterday and sure enough I was having contractions. especially In my back, my doctor checked my cervix and its closed still, I also have a cerclage.so I really wanted to really make sure. I'm always getting p17 shots every week. I got my **** yesterday, but I'm still cramping to. 30 weeks 4 days! I hope you get it checked out hun just be sure!

Cramping is a sign of contractions. My doc says sometimes it can feel like cramping. But contractions can happen for a few weeks.
