The pressure from his head causes me to lose my breath and brings on contractions. Last night he was kicking my ribs. Oh yes I have a very active baby.....Yikes.. My oldest son did the same thing he would hang out at night so far up I felt like he was in my mouth...LoL. Welcome to the joys of pregnancy. It is fun but can be quite painful.....
I told my nuero about it yesterday and she wrote it down, but didn't say what she thot it was. Anyone else ever feel this? It's directly under my ribs on the left side before my hips and wraps around half way to my back. So glad I have this forum!
I have the charlie horses in various places around my body, legs, feet, hands, under the ribs, under the breasts, etc. The pain can be excruciating. It can literally bend me over, make me cry, and scream out in pain. It happens in the shower, walking, using the bathroom, sitting in a chair, sleeping, etc. There is no particular time that this occurs. I can be doing nothing at all but laying on the sofa watching TV. If I get them in my legs, I have to walk them out.
I couldn't tell until after I got told at 33 weeks that it was his feet, but I do remember it. After I got told he was breech I could feel that it was his head under my ribs, because it was hard and rounded, plus he'd always punch my right side and he was sitting with his back on my left side, I was a little lopsided, lol. Anyways, the doctor also told me that with BH they can feel like real contractions as far as pain goes. You may even dilate a little with the BH.
I am 35 weeks pregnant with twins. I went in for fetal heart monitoring three days ago and I was having contractions 3 to 5 minutes apart. My doctor says it was too early and wants me to go until May 7th to preform a C-section. He ordered magnesium sulfate to stop my contractions. If I should start having contractions again and have to go in do I have the right to refuse to stop my contractions and if I do what can happen by my refusing to stop my contractions?
Anyhow i started to get alot of pain about a year and half ago radiating in the gallstone area and below my right ribcage , i have had an ultrasound, colonoscopy , liver test, xray on my ribs and was just given very strong co-codemol tablets as they haven't found anything. the pain is seeming to get worse underneath my rib and doctors have just put it down to inflammation in the rib . Having got ibs i can feel the contractions around the area but the pain is something else.

I am 28 weeks 3 days and her head is under my right ribs. She's pushing and rubbing them! It's painful. The only thing I can compare it too is when you're holding a toddler and they fall asleep on your shoulder and they grind their little head on your clavical, and you just want to put a pillow between you and them. It's painful, but well worth it!
If it hurts to lay on both sides try propping some pillows up behind you and than out some under your knees to prop them up a little and take deep breaths.
I have all these hard lumps from my collar bone to right under my chin. I'm fighting some kind of infection because I've never had glands this swollen. I called my ob because I would normaly wait it out and see if it clears on it's own, but they said it could be a sign of a serious infection and I needed to get into my regular dr today. So now waiting for my 3:15 appointment to see my GP. On top of all that and taking care of a very grumpy toddler I am having bad cramps today.
Although I love being pregnant, I am starting to slow down and am looking forward to moving on to the next stage. My little boy is currently kicking me under/right between the ribs, his favorite place. She is quiet which means I wont have to pee anytime soon. Normally she uses my bladder as her personal trampoline.
Im 13w1d pg and for the past week i have been having this tightening in my upper stomach. There is no pain at all, it almost feel like soft cramps. Its right under my ribs, it happens mostly on the left but sometimes on the right too. And its happened probably 10 times in the last week and last for about 5-10 seconds each time. It feels like a tightening ball. Does anyone know what this is or if its anything to be concerned about?
Thats right, I would check with your doctor as well, I had to go to the ER sat, sun, then on mon i had a doctor visit and he sent me to labor and deliver, my due date is nov 10, but i will have a csection on nov 3. They told me if I hurt under my ribs or any kind of tenderness come back to ER, could be a sign of toxemia, or you liver is not functioning properly. So, call your doctor or go to the ER dont wait.
( so i go see my ob friday and im going to beg her to do my section monday a week early at 39 weeks not 40 but she is already being a meanie about it but i have literally been crying in pain from my back and hips and ribs now my ear im not sleeping so its wearing on me. oh and the icing on the cake so to speak is from acid reflex i got tounge ulsers and they burn and throb im a mess.
I can say that it was very uncomfortable at that point and I did get strong contractions and felt sick during his turning. After he settled the contractions would slow then stop. They even had to stop the contractions before they turned him in the hospital. Anyway, it's very possible for your baby to turn, you still have plenty of time. It's also pretty cool to feel them climbing the wall and turning and you can totally see it when you watch your belly. At least I could.
) When I am sitting its hard to find a comfortable spot to sit in because I can feel the pressure of the baby under my rib. Any ideas to relieve the pressure. 2.) I am currently 26+2 and I am getting a clear liquid coming from my boob, is that normal? 3.) Always when I have sex i get the worst cramping pain, my whole stomach stiffens, and even other times randomly. should I be worried about pre-term labor because my mom went into labor everytime at 28 weeks?
theres no more room baby girl! i constantly have a foot in my ribs or coming out of my belly. im so sore, and still stretching which is more painful then usual. im regretting telling DH he could go on a mini vaca with our friends and thri kids this weekend. i mean he'll only be 6 hours away so i should be ok right? whats the chance i'll go into labor this weekend anyways? hes leaving tomorrow and he will be back on tuesday.
two months ago had very severe upper abdominal pain just under ribs on right side. Lasted for two or so hours, steadily got worse, radiating to my back. Quite a sudden recovery but left with tenderness which is still there. Pain was really bad coming in waves, squeezing sensation, almost like contractions! Had another episode two weeks ago, very severe, sweating and nausea. Severe for an hour and a half then subsided but stayed all night.
If the pains which can be sever are located under your ribs on the right side it could be gall bladder ..
I also rushed to ER when I was 19 weeks with exact same right and back pain, they found nothing, said it could be ligament pain or something. Took tylenol to feel better. I do get pain now under ribs, which is tolerable. Am sure nothing to be worried.
for the past week or so I have this horrible pain right under my boobs on my ribs almost. It's soooo painful. My Dr said its bc I dropped and the baby is head down so her feet are up there. It doesn't feel like feet cuz it goes away if I switch into enough different positions but my Dr said it probably won't go away until she's born. As if I need more pain to deal with!!
a pain going all around the top of my bump under my ribs and around my back... my stomach was rock hard while i had the pain.
My tummy tightens up hard and hurts a lot. My ribs right under my breasts are killing me to the point where I feel like I cant breath, and my vagina keeps getting sharp paings. I am extremely tired, dizzy, and feeling weak. I've been trying to stay hydrated. Is this braxton hicks? Because I didnt think they were supposed to hurt...
I'm 35 + 3 .. I'm having menstrual like cramps coming at irregular intervals , all under 10 minutes with Braxton hicks in between .. I drank water & laid on my left side which stopped the Braxton hicks but the cramps still come & go .. They aren't too bad , but seem to have gotten slightly more noticeable .. What is this ?
