I'm 37w today! At my last weekly appointment on Wednesday, doc told me that I'm 2cm dilated and 50 percent effaced. Yay! She says that if I don't have him by Dec 8th (he's due Dec 12th) she'll schedule my induction. I've also lost my mucus plug. Doc says I'm ahead of schedule so far. My mom thinks he'll be here next weekend. I'm just terrified of labor pains. I don't handhandle pain well.

I have created a powerpoint with milestones that have marked our relationship since we got married... and the last slides say so this month (march 2010) is your bday but ur far away.. and since i can't send you large packages... i decided to do this and then give you your present when you come back... here's a clue... (next slide) ...we gotta start saving...

18 Weeks tomorrow and just got out of the hospital a few hrs ago. Put on strict bed rest and hope the contractions stop. With 5 kids and NO help from family it's going to be difficult. Please wish us the best. Thank you!

I joined this site. It has lots of good stuff. You can download Powerpoint presentations for a lot of the articles. It's a little bit technical, but for the most part understandable. I haven't read this last one yet...trying to get through my last couple days of tx. Not feeling too good.

Yes I think I'd probably avoid it too. Kids are highly empathetic and you'll be in pain...that could be traumatic for her. I saw a birth when I was 18 or 19, and it was traumatic for me lol, and she's very young. I think if I were making the decision, I'd probably just bring her in for visits, and right afterwards. If she's one of the first to hold the baby, that will also make her feel like a part of it.

I have contractions and bh they dont bother me much so theyvare not always painful! With all my kids I've never felt the contractions but when they ere monitored it always showed just never felt them.

My lower stomach has been cramping pretty bad on and off for about 5 days now. When I get one of the bad cramps my stomach gets really hard. No back pain in particular but the cramping makes my back ache or my whole lower half of my ache. It's been about 5 days since this started but nothing consistent enough to time. Im 3 centimeters and 5 days over due. Supposed to be induced any time between tomorrow and Saturday. So im kind of Just going with the flow here.

For all the ladies who have had kids what do they feel like? Are contractions really as bad as some people make it out to be?

I'm about to be 38 weeks and I'm really thinking about the labor now. I'm feeling scared and nervous.so far the doctor said I could do it naturally and I plan on not using drugs.what is the most painful?contractions,pushing,tearing??
