Avatar f tn Since last night I have been having pain at the top of my belly and it goes down each side a little.. I am 36 weeks .. Anyone else experience this or should I be worried?
Avatar f tn When having contractions does the top of your stomach get hard?
Avatar f tn My contractions tightened my whole stomach.
Avatar f tn ve been getting false labor contractions a lot as well as braxhicks, my midwife told me the braxhicks you will feel on the top of your belly, for me it's like the feeling of tightening my abb muscles, where as the contractions are at the bottom of your belly and for most women they start out feeling like period cramps with minor back aches, so far that info has helped me a lot :) just waiting for labor!
1813627 tn?1337722375 I feel my contractions at the top of my belly. How far along r u?
Avatar f tn Hm. Google where the top of your uterus is at your number of weeks. If you're not showing you're probably under 20wks (just guessing) so your uterus won't be up very high at that point. If you're feeling the tightening much above your belly button for example it's probably something besides contractions. Just my thoughts.
Avatar f tn All day I've been having these sharp cramp like pains in my pubic area and lower bump. They've been pretty intense and I'm hoping it's labor starting up, but my question is do you feel the contractions at the top of your bump too? Because I haven't felt anything higher then my belly button but some of these cramps get really intense.
1834324 tn?1322141104 LOL kassie!! That was too funny! I had back labour so for me my lower back would tighten up first and then it would wrap around my belly and get rock hard and then loosen up again till the next one. I hear people mention that it feels like period pains but honestly- I didn't get that at all! Maybe my labour was easy on me?
Avatar f tn My ob says that contractions feel like intense menstrual cramps and the top of your belly will feel really tight. You might also have pain in your back, sides of your belly, and down into your thighs. At 35 weeks I was already dilated 1cm and had no idea. I had felt some stabbing pains in my cervix but my ob says that may be the aftermath of the contractions and I didn't feel the actual contraction itself. It'll hurt more when you get to 5-6 cms. Yay!
Avatar f tn Yes all over are they coming n going how far apart
Avatar f tn Like the ebb of a wave crashing on top of you. Worst pain I've ever felt. So glad I don't remember exactly what it felt like. Just that it hurt so badly.
Avatar f tn So ive been having sharp pains on top of my vagina area...are these braxton hicks or him dropping more into position? Hes already dropped and im 2 cm dialated.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if you start to feel contractions at the top of your bump or the bottom?
Avatar f tn I walked 8 blocks and by the 3rd block I started having really really sharp pains on right side of belly towards my belly button. By the 5th block I started having lots of pressure down there and a sharp pain over left hip with back pain. By the 8 the block I was so exhausted I could hardly walk to my front door.. I layed down and kept having pains in my belly extremely bad low back pain tightening of my belly. I did that walking around 1:30 pm it is now 9:45 pm .
5501743 tn?1390296087 I was told that contractions start at the top of your belly but I talked to my boss and she said hers felt more twards the bottom before she had her kids

9390824 tn?1403498885 She told me that when there is a true contraction the top of your uterus is like pushing on a brick wall.
Avatar f tn Feel the top of your belly where your uterus would be them touch your chin your nose and your forehead if there forehead there contractions.
Avatar f tn If its low in your abdomen its not contractions. Contractions will go across the whole top of your belly and are gradual sharp pains. Sounds like ligament pains to me. Drink some water lay on your left side and see if you feel better.
Avatar f tn With both my labor experiences my water broke at the top of the sack before I actually started having contractions so there was still a cushion of water between my cervix & the baby's head. I also did not get an epidural either time & don't plan on one with this baby either. The 1st time you give birth it's a bit scary because you don't know what to expect & you're not sure what the pain will feel like but each subsequent labor gets easier. Hope this helps!
7892775 tn?1395673991 m actually sore down there from constantly having to wipe. On top of that the discharge has increased quite a bit. Been having pressure in back and belly with a lot of cramping. Ugh how much longer. I have my 39 week appointment tomorrow afternoon at exactly 39 weeks. Hopefully if I've finally dilated to 4cm or more she will go ahead and send me to l&d to be admitted and induced.
Avatar f tn I'm 38 weeks today, and for the last 30 minutes or so I've been having a mixture of pressure, tightening, and sharp pains in my belly. Like each different feeling comes at a different time. the only thing that's constant is the pressure at the top of my belly that's making it hard to breathe, and making my chest feel tight as well.
Avatar f tn I felt nauseous and the pain was going across my belly,on top,and on the bottom. Hurt so bad i laid on the floor. I didnt want to move. Seems like everytime i walk or move this happens! Im 26wks and 1 day. Anyone go through this? The l&d lady said it sounded like minor contractions but im not sure. She wasnt much help and the er here never knows what theyre doing. Im guna make an appmnt for tomorrow with my ob but anyone go through this?
Avatar f tn First off why did they say based on babys position you might go into labor in the next few weeks?
Avatar f tn s sideways when my belly got hard there was still Some soft spots on the top and bottom of my belly but it felt really really tight on the sides. I think I figured it out now. I feel it in my muscles rather than just where she is. Thanks!
9954084 tn?1406872438 I didn't get them in my back. But the nurse and I could put out hands on my belly at the top of my uterus and feel it. Like above said, I also couldn't talk through them.
Avatar f tn Call labour and delivery or go in. If your stomach gets really hard like as hard as your forehead it's real contractions of it feels like your chin it's braxton hicks. Stand up and touch the top of your belly and push gently again if it's hard like your forehead it could be real contractions kinda soft like your chin braxton hicks. I learned this yesterday in my birthing classes and besides better to be safe than sorry 25 weeks is still way early to be having baby.
