So since I haven't gotten many feed back on here like I do on babycenter I was wondering does anyone get cramps on only one side on your first trimester? Like I hadn't had them just yet and tonight I am having them cramps ok and off like contractions... But mild though. Is it normal?

really low and only on the left side, but definite tightening. Is it possible to only have it on one side?

I was told by my family doctor who just made list of top 100 doctors in USA for internal medicane. That I have a enlarged heart left side only. No leakage so no need to worry or have futher testing done in next few years to check on that problem again. Do you agree with what he said to that? I am curious to find out why that happened cause and treatment if any? What I can do to prevent any futher enlarging.

For the last day I've had swelling (not terrible or all the sudden) on only my left side. My left ankle and my left hand is fairly swollen. There's some pain in my ankle but nothing in my hand. My face or eyes are puffy so I don't think it's preeclampsia. What do you ladies think?

I'm 23 weeks an I my baby only moves on my left side. I was a bit worried about it too. But when I saw my midwife you found the heart beat on my right side. Meaning that my babies feet are on my left. Thats why I feel movement on one side. So its normal.

Through out my whole pregnancy I've been told to sleep on my left side because it's better for me and the baby. But my left hip keeps going numb and with my contractions the pain bolts down that leg also. Opinions? I need sleep!!

You will feel true contractions all over!!

How long does it last and how frequently? Sharp pain can be caused by Braxton hicks, even on one side. But it's worth monitoring to be sure if they're real contractions or not.

If you are able to time them than you are more than likely having contractions...if its a constant pain and water and laying on your left side or a bath doesn't give you any relief than definitely call your dr and if you can't reach him I would consider going to l&d to get checked.

Are you still hanging in there? Only 5 days left until due date for me and I have been having some contractions here and there (strong ones). Last night I got excited - they were seven minutes apart for a good 45 minutes or so and then they faded away. I have had some mucousy discharge (mucous plug?) but no spotting yet. I hope we are close and it comes soon for both of us!
