contractions on and off

30 this morning to contractions they continued on for about 1 1/2 hr then stopped and have had this problem off and on all day i have taken 3 baths today and they didnt help i have been drinking water and kool-aid and tried relaxing...nothing is working i am miserable any advice on how i can either encourage these contractions or stop them??

You need to go in so they can see what's going on. If it's contractions, you can dilate fast and then they won't be able to do anything if it's to late. They can stop your contractions if you go in as soon as they start.

After that nothing has been goin on other than the contractions .. and ive been haveing alot of whiteish dicharge here and there. But this morning i woke up in pain my whole stomach was hurting very bad it felt like i hade a stomach ach. i tried useing the restroom i hade a normal bowel movement but i didnt stop the pains ..

Today I took 500mg at breakfast, 500mg at lunch and 500mg at dinner. I also went to the mall and walked for 1 1/2 hours. Tonight I have some on and off sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Could it be from walking? Could it be the start of contractions? Or my cervix thinning and dilation beginning? Anyone have any thoughts?

The last few days I have been feeling off, baby is not moving nearly as much, I know she has dropped (my husband and 20 month old had me laughing so hard the other night I swear I felt I was going to push her out right then and there!) And I have been having lots of bh with minor cramping and real contractions off and on. I haven't lost my mp so question is have any of you gone into labor with out losing your mp?

They gave me stiff to stop my contractions and it never did they checked my cervix when I 1st got there and they said they needed to recheck when I left and never did they let me go home when I am having contractions every 5min.s and still in alot of pain...

So I am now 30 weeks pregnant and on bed rest due to a subchorionic hemorrhage and a 9 day hospital stay... What now? I have 3 other kids and baby things that need to be prepared... Also the nesting phase isn't very easy on bed rest...

What should I do. I'm two days from my due date and I keep having off and on again menstral like cramping. Should I go get a stress test or just relax at home . It's beginning To be sure if I'm having the real deal or false. My first it was easy to reconize so far with this one I'm still just not completely sure. I just want my body to start doing it's thing so I don't have to him and haw anymore.

I have period pains and some back pain off and on although not massively painful. I haven't had any leaking of any kind. I feel I'm being a slave to my funny aches and pains and always on edge!

I was checked around 9 am and was only 1 cm dilated and still had a long cervix, so my midwife and the on call doctor put me on a thing that goes up in behind my cervix to help it ripen. I go into the hospital in about half an hour for more antibiotics and for an assessment, will update when I know more. I have had a particularly rough pregnancy, horrible aches and pains, nauseau for 20+ weeks and terrible acid reflux and heartburn. Yesterday out of nowhere I felt nauseous, worse than in my first 20 weeks, which has stayed all night and through today. I have felt so incredibly tired, almost like I have the flu? Also noticing more frequent BMs. Losing my MP for the last week or so, at 38 weeks + 1 day today, just wondering if I should expect the nausea from here on out?

They scheduled me a c- section, got me prep, and then another doctor told them i can wait a week, and on top of that they lost my file records.

Anyone else on bed rest out there??? I was in the hospital in labor last week. Contractions every minute....gave me a ton of meds to stop them but I'm still getting them on and off....scary! Make sure you take care of yourselves ladies!

I felt myself getting too tired, so I decided to get off, but when I stepped down on the latter my foot slipped and I tumbled off onto the ground. -My balance has been totally thrown off with this pregnancy- I felt okay after I fell, I layed there for a second to make sure I was. Then later on I started having cramps in my lower back and lower tummy. Almost feels like contractions- very weak though* They are not at all coming in any certain way and never are a certain amount of time apart.

I was just put on bed rest at 32+6 and have to make it to 35wks before they will take me off bed rest.

How long can you go being 1cm dilated? I have been having contractions on/off in the hospital since morning of Xmas Eve. I'm due February 16th. I was given magnesium/sulfate to help stop them and also the 2 steroids to speed up her lungs. I'm being discharged today... But is it possible my little girl can be here within the next two weeks? I'll be 33 weeks Monday 12/30.

First try not to stress out, as hard as I'm sure it is just try to keep calm. Keep timing contractions. Are they growing stronger or are they just close together? YOU know your body more than anybody so if YOU feel something is wrong, they should respect that. If I was you I would wait an hour or two and if you're still having contractions and feel bad I would go back in. Try to just be positive, they had to have had a reason for sending you home.

Any moms here went into preterm labor? I'm 34 weeks on Sunday and I've been feeling off the last few days and am trying to decide if I need to drive up to the next town to see the doc. I have an appt on Monday just can't tell if I need to go now or not. Ive not had regular contractions or anything but have had awful back pain that just started and baby's movements have slowed...

Just returned from my OB appointment as I've been having on/off labor pains, nausea, a show and alot of pressure on my cervix. She has just told me that baby's head is fully engaged and very low in the pelvis and to call the hospital if my pains return! Scared! This is my 3rd baby and had threatened preterm labor with my 1st. Anyone had anything similar and had their baby early??

ll definitely know the difference between BH contractions and labor contractions. When your in labor its more intense.. but like the last girl said, its not as bad as everyone makes it seem! I'm 38+3 and can not wait until next friday which is my due date, hopefully she'll want to make her appearance.

So tomorrow night I go in to start my induction with Cervadil. Today i've been having contractions off and on all day, some regular, some not so regular. What i'm wondering is if the fact that i'm having contractions now will mean that I am dilating and thinning on my own now, and make the induction process go faster then? Also, I've been having frequent bouts with going to the bathroom also and i'm wondering if that is a symptom of early labor also?

I had the same thing happen to me, I was having contractions on and off all this week. At first I thought they were braxton hicks but my doctor told me to call if I had more than 3 in an hour and if after drinking lots of water and laying on my left side didn't stop them. I was having several contractions in an hour but they were very light ... didn't hurt at all, my belly just felt tight and hard so I called and my doctor told me to head to hospital.
