contractions not all

I've had painful contractions all day!! Even while walking!! Also been bleeding alllll day since my second sweep. Baby hasn't been too active. Hopefully something tonight!!!

I'm 34week and 3days I was in the hospital two days ago and the monitor pick up that I was having some contractions my cervix was fully closed they wasn't to painful more like hungry pain or period cramps ?

I have heard laboring at home for as long as you can really helps. I had to be induced so I didn't have that option. But the birthing ball helped me a ton and jus staying as active as you can which can be hard in the hospital. I hear water helps a ton so try a shower if you can I was unable to do that as well but this time around I am planning a water birth at home...

can they not induce you so you could try the vbac?

I am not sure if they are contractions. I have them like every 5 minutes or so. Also all day today I been having a clear discharge with a little red on it I don't know what that could mean. ANy suggestions or answers? I won't be seeing the doctor until tomorrow but it wont be my doctor since she was put on bed rest due to complications with her pregnancy which I did not know until today.

I've been having contractions for the past two days & yesterday I went to the hospital & they gave me a shot to slow them down, but I'm not dilated at all but when they checked me they could feel my babies head down there already. Anyone else have this going on or know if its a sign of labor coming on. BTW. I'm only 28 weeks.

Hey ladies, I'm starting to having this sharp ache pain on the lower left side of my back... N I'm not sure if its contractions starting or what, I am 37+6 weeks n already 3 centimeters dilated. This is the first time I'm feeling this pain, so do u guys think this can be contractions starting?

I know right... i have contractions all the time an sometimes i feel them but more often i dont... its weird... i wish i could tell better, the ones i feel have to be stronger i guess cause sometimes they r painful... i also feel them in my back.

Do not give in to being induced via pitocin. Pitocin contractions are not natural contractions, which make them more painful and not as effective. If your pregnancy goes past 40 weeks and your doc is threatening induction, that is also a good time to consult your doula first, if you have one.

has not stopped... this is my sec child so i no what contractions are like... this feels like extra strong period pain nearly making me feel nausious... i am nearly 38 weeks... i have said this to my mam and she said to wait it out and see what happens... im not sure i agree with her... can anyone shed a light on whats goin on???

It's different for everyone. I was induced with my first at 41 weeks. They gave me pitocin and it did nothing for me. It showed I was having contractions on the monitor but I didn't feel anything. They did that for about 12 hrs and nothing so they broke my water and that's when I really felt the contractions. I went in on a tue at 7am didn't have my baby until wed at 10am.

Thanks ladies... I'm pretty sure I'm in early labor. Last night i had 2 rounds of real contractions that were 4 mins apart but only lasted for about 2 hours each. I'm still having more BH today and some contractions but not regular. I'm thinking this baby girl will be here by the end of the week!!!

Sounds like your body is having practice contractions. I've been having mild contractions for five days and am 39+2 but it never builds into labor. When is your next appt? You can always mention it to your OB or MW when you get checked.

Im 37w4d and ive been having bh contractions all night. At 11 pm i timed them and they were irregular after an hour or 2 i decided to go to sleep. Well i woke up and the first thing i noticed is... Im still having contractions! Im uncomfortable but not quite in pain. Maybe slightly crampier than last night. Is this false labor? Im going to call my doctors office in an hour or 2 and ask if i should go in to l&d and get a stress test just in case.. What is this?? Could it be early labor?

Mizzz you're awesome! Thank you. My dad is here. Im still being pumped with steroids. My contractions are still coming but have slowed down some and not as strong. I've d ialated to 2cm.. but have not thinned. Im scared girls. No one can give me a straight answer... if my baby is born this early will he survive??? 28 weeks??

Braxton hicks are your muscles kinda tightening up getting ready for real labor contractions. Sometimes you can see them in your tummy when it gets hard. They are usually painless and you really don't start getting them til around 33 weeks. You're probably just having ligament pain. Ligament pain is caused by stretching skin or sudden movements, like if you get up a certain way. I'm not sure tho. I had menstrual like cramps around 30 weeks and my Dr.

They decided that I would have to be on the muscle relaxer until 36 weeks to keep the contractions to a minium. I do not have any infections, but was determined to have a irritable uterus. So ladies! If you think you are having contractions don't wait! I'm so glad I went in.

And not all of the contractions I felt or at least I wasn't thinking that's what it was. I'm also dilated 1cm not thinning out but she said she felt the head.

30 I began having contractions which was about time since my son was 40+4 at that time... I decided to take a shower and get ready to go to the hospital... I called my midwife and told her it was about that time... So I got my kids up and ready... I left my house around 5am, got to the hospital around 5:25am and got upstairs to l&D around 5:30am...

make sure you drink plenty of water because with my first pregnancy i kept getting dehydrated and getting Braxton Hicks contractions at least twice a month the hole pregnancy :/ not fun
