ve been having crazy contractions. Anywhere from 1 1/2 minutes to 5 minutes apart. And here it is Thursday, still miserable. Dr don't even want to see me til tomorrow afternoon! Give me some ideas to get this show on the road!!! Please!!!

If they are increasing yes keep the time or get and app to keep it for you ...

Mommytobe- yeah, I googled the difference between round ligament pain and contractions and it really made no sense.. Because it said round ligament pains can actually be preterm labor.. So idk.

They checked my cervix at 7am after monitoring contractions I was at 3.5cm had me walk around for 1 hour to see if I would progress...I did to 5.5cm...got admitted. Epidural at 11am,causing contractions to stop, so they gave me pitocin. By 6pm I was 8cm dilated. 7pm 9.5cm, 8pm I hit 10cm..yes the epidural worked for contractions but when it came time to push it only helped a little. It literally felt like I ripped a new one.

It felt like a bizarre tapping inside my spine when the inserted the epidural for my first. They had to insert it between contractions and the heavs of me vomitting, so I barely noticed the insertion to be honest. During labor, I didn't feel a single contraction. But by the time I pushed, it had worn off and I felt every stretch, pull, push of my daughter coming out. I also felt the sting of my tear and it was a horrible horrible pain.

Braxton hicks dont hurt they just feel tight and uncomfortable, I would get checked out best be safe n that way u can stop worrying hope everything is ok

I tried laying in a tub and it made it worse. The most painful experience ever... But with that being said I had to be induced with pitocin cuz my water had been broken for to long and I was at risk for an infection. Which pitocin makes contractions worse. I did 20+ hours of labor with no pain meds, the most rewarding moments in my life.

Sadly, i felt the pain from contractions. I would have LOVED to just feel the pressure...but wasnt so lucky i suppose. :( ive heard the epidural is great when it works and i would love to get one if i knew it would work..

And now, all this week, I have had strange contractions. They feel weak and I would blow them off as BH contractions, but there have been several spans of time where they are coming regularly---i.e. 7 to 10 minutes apart, and it lasts for an hour or so but then stops. It was random at first, but it's getting more "organized", if that makes sense. Last night, two different times, i had 8 or more contractions in an hour, and twice so far today, it's the same thing.

I'm going to see my midwife tomorrow. Been having contractions since Monday but I had only dilated 1cm. I'm still having contractions now and they hurt so bad :( I've had like hardly any sleep since Monday haven't been able to sleep in a bed so the lounge n sofa has officially been my bedroom. I'm only having like 1 contraction every half hour but my god the pain, n exhaustion they bring is horrible :( I can't do this much longer.

Very nervous! So my daughter will be my first child and I am nervous that when the time comes I won't know what to do. For instance, how would I know I have lost my mucus plug, being that I have experienced discharge ALL my life. Heavy and Light. Also, when will I know I have contractions being that I have experienced period cramps from horrible to very easy.

so I should have those results in the next day or so. Once the contractions slowed, I was checked by the doc in the hospital. She first goes to check and is like "ummm I don't feel anything". So we changed positions and she checked again and said I was only 2cm and 50% effaced. What the heck???? I was told from 3 different people that I was 1 1/2cm and 70-80% effaced from 28 weeks until today. Weird??? So anyway, I called my OB and told her I was concerned.

I was scheduled to be induced on Sunday night, but ended up starting to have contractions Sunday morning, we went to the hospital in the morning and got sent home because I was only in early labor, so they told us to come back that night when I was scheduled to come in.

I'd say they're just Braxton hicks. Real contractions only get stronger and stronger and closer together. Like they will get really quite painful and not go away.

t time them anymore finally i called my mom and she said to call the hospital and they told me to come in i got there around 230 and they checked me and i was only 2 cm the nurse was so rude and made everything worse i was having horrible contractions every 3 minutes after like a hour they checked me again and i was still only 2 cm and they were gonna stay me home and thats when i start to break down bcuz i was in so much pain and could barely walk but thankfully my water broke right before they

ugh so i came into labor n delivery cuz bby wasnt and is not active like she usually is... i had contractions every twenty mins... but i came in because yesturday i called my nurse line n told me to come in n get check... n this nurse here made me feel sh i t t y and so stupid..... saying they not pickin up the cintractions that some can manipulate the monitors and so many other things... all i want to know is why the discharge and why bby not moving....

Is it possible for a contraction to last more then 5mins or should I call my doctor cause I'm having pains that feel like how a contractions supposed to from everything I've heard and read and experienced but they're lasting a lot longer then I've heard about. What do you think?

Sleep if you're tired your body will wake you when things are more urgent

My baby was due on 24th Feb but I started having contractions from 1am last night. I went into hospital at 7.30am and they told me I was 4 cm dilated and as I had a previous fast labour with my son that it be best to stay in the hospital and straight to a delivery room. By then my contractions were so strong I sat on an exercise ball feeling so much pressure that my waters broke in a gush.

I hope everyone else who delivered already had a good experience and congratulations to everyone whether they had the baby yet or not, cuz you will soon!!!

Would you know if your having braxton hicks? I dont think Ive had any but I dont know how to tell cause I dont know what they would feel like ot where on my tummy they would hurt if they did.I cramp sometimes but usually on one side when Im in a position to Long or switch sleeping positions to fast. I know your tummy is supposed to be hard but I dont really get that, like my stomach is never hard like a muscle is tight.

Dr came in and broke my water and then we just had to wait for baby! Then I made it to 10 cm and pushed for 20 min and she made her appearance! So much easier than my emergency c section! After delivery I didn't realize u needed to empty my bladder and hemmoraged about 500cc of blood, but ended up fine! Stayed in hospital 2 days and am home and happy!

It happened so fast she was 2 weeks early and I had been checked 2 days before and had made no progress so it can happen at any time! Sex started my contractions, doggy style.. Good luck!

So I made dinner tonight which is not unusual lol, but during the actual eating I started having contractions again. One right after the other it seemed like (this also happened early Saturday morning but then slowed to about 1-2 an hr for the rest of the day). I had probably 10-12 in less than 45 minutes...They have slowed again, but these are getting more uncomfortable it seems than they were on Saturday. I'm having the same pressure and stabbing pains again in the cervix area...

Yay! you are almost finally done with this pregnancy, it seems like its been pretty crazy for you so far. Just make sure that you don't sneeze or cough too hard from here until Friday. Let us know how it goes. I think its pretty cool that you will be delivering at home and your Dr.

I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow....DD and still preggers so my doctor is sending me for NST I've never made it to my due date before so I've never had one. What is it exactly and about how long does it take?

I just came from the hospital , I was having contractions 2 days in row. 10mins apart. They made me walk for two hours because I was dilated 1 &1/2 cm thin out. Well I walk and nothing only big contractions and no dilation. Im so tired , I just been having these pain and its only going get worst until I dilate more :(. I feel do bad I gave to deal with pain every 10 mins makes me wanna drop toy knees. Feel like im trying to hold my pee of sharp needle.

so idk if it was cause by stress or not but just with in the past 7 mins i had 5 contractions that made me double over... idk if its the real thing. or if its just from the stress..
