Avatar f tn With you being 39 weeks, you could be going into labor. When they're 5 minutes apart for an hour that's when you go in. You don't want to go too soon or they just might send you home.

Avatar f tn So if your having contractions every 2 minutes, that means you have a contraction lasting 1 minute, and then 2 minutes later you will have another lasting 1 minute. If youre having contractions every 3-5 minutes for more than 1 hour, you are most likely in labor. Hope that wasnt too confusing.
Avatar f tn They'll probably send you home if you're not having contractions that are 5 minutes or less apart lasting about a minute consistently. I would wait awhile. There's no need to rush in unless the pain is so bad you can't walk or talk through it or consistently coming a few minutes apart. Good luck!

Avatar f tn Yesterday around 4pm I started having contractions every 10 minutes, around 8 I started having them every two minutes and went to the hospital to confirm I was having regular strong contractions every two minutes lasting a minute to a minute and a half each, they discharged me at 6 this morning because I wasn't dilating but in STILL having contractions every two minutes and they are still strong as ever!!!

Avatar f tn I walked to tge living room and the contractions started again so i sat down and timed them and they were lasting between 52 seconds and 1 minute 18 seconds amd in between timing was around 4 or 5 minutes each a couple were 3 minutes 50 seconds but mainly stayed in the 4-5 minute range. Ive got diarrhea and when i do get the contractions it reaches to my back and kinda makes me jump and catch my breath.
