Having stronger contractions only 29weeks 1cm and a half dialated ugh..

During pregnancy.. I was admitted to the hospital Thursday bc of kidney infection causing contractions. They sent me homefriday & prescribed me antibiotics after pumping me with antibiotics. Days later im still having problems.. any advice?

So I had this problem with my last pregnancy,.and unfortunately it's here with this one too. The uterus kinks off my ureter to my kidney so it doesn't drain very well. I usually can lay on my side and it will slowly drain but tonight I can't get any relief, I'm in so much pain I don't know what to do.

When you have contractions or are in labor is all the pain down low? Or can it be higher up?

Definitely contractions. If they last 1 min to minute in a half and are 3-5min apart it's time to go to the dr!

IM 8 Months next week, Theres times where i get sharp pain in my abdomen and on my back they last about 10secods or less then that but i dont get them frequently those arent contractions right?

Will someone please explain to what contractions feel like? Sorry it sounds dumb. But, I have been only feeling pain in my lower back but last night I woke up to intense stomach tightness.

When you et contractions it's actually your uterine muscles contracting to push the baby down and out. Even if you have a high pain tolerance you'll still be able to feel it happening. Everyone's contractions feel differently though but your tummy will for sure begin to harden with pain or an uncomfortable feeling.

I'm 20 weeks and I'm having contractions I went to the er yesterday and they gave me IV fluids and said I had a uti and said that's causing contractions that's all they did said to follow up with my ob dr but they won't be back in the office for a week they don't have an after hours number what should I do

its a really difficult situation because i have learned that you can have irregular contractions that do nothing and irregular contractions that do things.. and to me they have felt thesame way.... If they start to pick up starting timing them and recording it so you can see if there is any pattern.. If you have contractions with cramping (even if only brief like in my case) go to the l&d or your OB to be on the safe side..

I had a kidney infection with my 1st and was warned that it may set off labour (it didnt) so they must see kidney infections sparking off contractions. just keep an eye on it and get yourself checked or some medical advice any time you arent happy with how you feel. Out of interest, are you having a boy?

I found out monday I have kidney stones for the 2nd time this pregnancy... :( I am going in friday for my csection and just hoping the pain eases up for me or that I just pass the dang stone... I dont want to be dealing with that after the birth. It just seems like bad timing, not that there is a good time for these things... Tmi but my urine looks like cranberry juice, kinda scary but I know its from the stone. I have been drinking tons of water.

Well, the problem is that Braxton Hicks contractions and regular contractions feel really similar. It sounds like you only had Braxton Hicks, especially if the ER staff did not admit you. I don't know if this is your first pregnancy or not, but they may not be contractions at all. Contractions are a WHOLE different ballpark than any other pain you've ever experienced. Not only because of the pain level, but because of the way your body reacts.

When I had a kidney infection while pregnant I was urinating more then usual, my back hurt, and I wss having contractions!

I had the same problem :/ I went in at 31 weeks but I had 4 shots morphine 12 hours of magnesium 4 more shots and they finally stopped after 24 hours of being there and then was put on bed rest and went back the next day for the same thing and got 3 shots and some pills and they stopped so now I'm on bed rest and procardia until I reach full term and I've made it almost 3 weeks now since then so I wouldn't worry too much!

Any one else have a hard time knowing if ur having contractions? My braxton Hicks have been more back aches like period paind nd my stomach feels kinda sick nd muscles tight but more on inside of tummy not always rock hard on outside.. not sure how i know if there real ones now or not 37+4 i was 2 centimeters on tuesday... has ne one had contractions that lead to real labor but they didnt really seem super intense?

I went to the hospital and they told me I was dehydrated and had bv and gave me two bags of iv fluids and some antibiotics. The very next day I was back and they realized I actually had a kidney infection and I spent 4 days in the hospital on iv antibiotics and fluids. I was released on modified bedrest.

I just had my first experience with kidney stones last week...and let me tell you, theyhurt like hell!! Ive read alot of moms saying that they said kidney stones feels just like child labor. Anyone else eexperience kidney stones who already had a baby?? Just curious!

When I went in on Tuesday before the pain began, they did a urine test and found no evidence of kidney stones, bladder or kidney infections. I do have chronic kidney stones but I have never had pain with them... Even 5mm and larger stones. Just bloody urine. And I never had bloody urine. I have had no other issues with my pregnancy - that night with the pain was a serious surprise especially since I have a higher tolerance for pain than most people.

I had little kidney stones at 32 weeks pregnant. They were so little, nothing could really be done. Good luck mama!

If its infection or kidney stones it CAN be a cause of pregnancy. I was seen late last night in l &d cuz i have my third kidney stone this pregnancy and it made mr have contractions. Im 21 wks.

ve heard plenty of women say that they had no idea they were in labor and got to the hospital for a routine check and ended up being almost fully dilated. Due to kidney stones and how big my baby is compared to my body my midwife suspects he's going to come a little early, so can you give me some things to look for that will help me know when to go in? I've already been losing my mucus plug and experiencing bh contractions, but when do I absolutely need to call my dr?

I had diarrhea before I got the antibiotics but I read that depending on what part of the bladder ot affects can cause diarrhea. I have a kidney issue so I get them alot. I know when I was younger and it spread to my kidney I had diarrhea and couldn't keep anything down and my taste buds were affected this happened.
