9222490 tn?1406013792 I started having irregular but moderately intense contractions. Then throughout Monday my contractions almost waned completely. Then around 11 PM. They started up and I went to the hospital around 2 30 Am on Tuesday when the contractions were 5 min apart for 1 hour. Had him at 9 40 am Tuesday. Yeah your little one may very well be coming within a day or so.:).
800427 tn?1324945719 So i thought maybe it was just braxton hicks contractions but its starting to occur to me that these are possibly the real deal. So i got 4 that were 10 minutes apart about 20 seconds long and the pain wrapped all the way around my back (hardened my stomach and felt like i got kicked in the back) but it wasnt the worst pain ive ever felt just made me sit down. i then got 2 sharp stabbing pains in my vagina (just like my other post) upon laying down with my glass of water...
Avatar f tn Ftm here and I'm getting contractions that feel much different than the braxton hicks I've been getting before. These are a bit more intense and include cramping and sometimes back pain but they keep stopping after a while. I'm so frustrated and confused about what to do. Every now and then I'll get a slightly wet feeling in my undies and I'll check but it's nothing. How am I ever going to figure out when it's the real thing?
4476031 tn?1374200674 no harm going to hospital to check how far dilated you are and they can also see if it is contractions or not, but they say its not labour until contractions are like few mins apart, but if theres pressure then that could be real contractions..plus you are 39weeks, okay to have a baby now... just go check it out... no water break?
1523981 tn?1311318595 I'm 38 weeks been having contractions all day to where it's hard to walk. Went to bed and now they seem to have slowed down however I keep waking up to pee and I wake up starving not sure why. I also felt sick for most of the day and threw up around lunch time This is baby number 2 and it's completely different then the first. I'm just waiting for my water to break like it did last time.
Avatar f tn It could be early labor but if you can't distinguish when they start then I don't think they're the real deal...

Avatar f tn It's so hard waiting and not really knowing. I'm in the same boat is you. Im due in Sunday. I keep having contractions and then they go away. Today I just want to cry because I can't sleep at night.

Now I'm Starting To.Have Back Labor And They Have Given Me Medicine To Try And Stop Labor Because I Am Only 32+4 Weeks If I Dilate Any More Before They Let Me Leave Then I Have To Be Sent To A Bigger Hospital!
3182438 tn?1359489871 ) And It made me very shaky and made the babies heart rate go up (doctors will explain them both being side affects) but it helped my contractions slow down then they stopped. Talk to your doctors about stopping your contractions, good luck!!!
2116985 tn?1334628542 I posted day/two about my mucus plug now was lying down felt a big pop & trickles of water! Progressing with more trickles & pink tinge of blood no real 10mins contractions yet just strong BH.
Avatar f tn I am 38+2 and I keep having either Braxton Hicks or real contractions every night for the last few nights. They start out at about 5 min then go to 2-3 min then after about an hour they cool down to 6-8 min apart, they are not very painful. My body is really starting to hurt from them, but they keep slowing down. And I end up falling asleep and waking up with nothing going on at all!!! This is getting really frustrating and I am starting to worry a little.
5752933 tn?1383533437 Does it feel kinda like pressure?
Avatar f tn But generally, contractions should be consistent before going into the ER unless the doc says to. Starting and stopping contractions is common. Let us know how it went and what you did!!
Avatar f tn Unfortunately some doctors, especially General Practitioners, don't have a lot of knowledge and/or much experience with meds like these. I have tapered off of Zoloft after a year of use and my doc put me on a slow taper and even slowed it down when I was having a little more side effects than I wanted...which helped tremendously. In my opinion, tapering, especially after long term use, is VERY important.
