Avatar f tn But yesterday I had a onset of severe pain to my upper abdoman in the middle. That came with the shakes, shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea and clammy feeling. This pain was definately 10/10 the only way to describe it was it was like contractions. I could hardly stand at one point and felt like I would pass out. I was rushed to A&E. They took a few tests. They all came back normal, except for my liver function which came back slightly abnormal.
Avatar n tn I have a 14 year old son with sudden onset of upper abdominal pain. This has lasted constantly at a high pain level for nearly 6 months, taking him out of school and all activities. His pain is worse after eating and drinking, he never experiences hunger pangs, he is tender to the touch on his upper abdomen, jostling, driving on bumpy roads, exercise, makes the pain worse. He describes it at times as acid burning, knife stabbing, tightening and about to explode.
Avatar f tn Few months pass and for the last three weeks, I have had bloating in my stomach, I do pass some gas, I have pain in the upper right hand side beneathe my ribs (kinda hurts to wear a bra too), I continue to have pain in my lower right pelvic area, and even at times I have pain in my upper left area under my rib. Last week the pain was as if I were having contractions. This week it's pain and I can even feel a buldge in my right rib area where it has been hurting.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the response. :) I don't think it's related to contractions. The pain doesn't feel anything like the contractions I had with my first. It's more sharp and stabby. Not crampy and achy.
9309926 tn?1405447056 t tell if this is contractions or what. Please help me the pain is in my upper stomach. I will be 30 weeks tomorrow. My doctors are closed an I won't be able to go to the er until my fiance gets here an I don't want him to leave work if its not contractions.
Avatar f tn s normal to be hurting in my lower abdominal area right above my vagina and also my upper inner thighs after sex? No bleeding or discharge of any kind.. just feeling like I walked a marathon!
Avatar f tn Some people have abdominal pain like period cramps then they turn into worse period cramps if you cant stand it i would go to the hospital but my contractions happen in my pelvic it feels like a sharp pain and tightness
Avatar f tn I can tell I have gas backed up under my rib cage (both sides) pushing out. I have had so much in there it felt like I had a basketball in there . When that happens PVC's all over the place, and I'm thinking it is causing an overcrowding of the heart and sends it into a funky rhythm. And they don't stop until I take Gas-X or something similar and decompress my upper abdomen.
Avatar f tn No they actually start at somewhere around 16 weeks they come and go until the real contractions come about lol.
Avatar m tn In the past few weeks I've been experiencing pain in my upper abdomen that is more intense when I'm sitting. It's also uncomfortable to sleep on my side, I have to make sure to sleep on my back during the night. I'm a healthy 31 yr. old women who had surgery a couple of months ago to remove a cyst from a ovary. Could this be a side effect from the surgery that was months ago?
Avatar f tn If its low in your abdomen its not contractions. Contractions will go across the whole top of your belly and are gradual sharp pains. Sounds like ligament pains to me. Drink some water lay on your left side and see if you feel better.
Avatar f tn Hi Mamas, I just started my 35th week and have been experiencing a lot of pain, well, everywhere around my abdomine--upper, lower, sides (wherever side I lay down on). There is just no more room and I'm always out of breath. This is my first pregnancy and I dont know what contractions feel like. But the fact that im feeling so much pressure around my entire tummy, I feel like they are contractions and the baby feels very dense against my belly skin.
Avatar f tn t gallstones but my gallbladder had quit working so they removed it in emergency surgery the next day. It was scary having a general anesthetic and an abdominal xray at 21wks pregnant but all my tears were for nothing as the surgery went brilliant and am now 34wks. Wishing you lots of luck!
Avatar n tn Just like period cramps. More in the lower stomach but the whole stomach gets tight.
Avatar f tn I'm 40wks. Don't really know when I'm having contractions due to my constant abdominal pain. How do u tell apart.
6807839 tn?1386436725 Doesn't really matter about how your cramps were before it's just the best analogy to use to describe what contractions feel like. They are like period cramps that grow in intensity, length and pressure.
Avatar f tn im 24weeks 2dys and feeling excruciating pain in my upper back like strong chest pain but in my back shooting upwards, is there anything I cld do for it, shld I cal my dr or its normal??
Avatar f tn I think you should at least call the only reason I say that is I am 33w4 and Friday night I was also getting non stop sharp pains in my lower abdominal and also what felt like contractions here and there they had me go in and kepet me over night I was having real contractions they wanted to make sure baby was OK.
Avatar f tn You will know an active labor if your having contractions. I mean the real contractions.
Avatar m tn For the previous five months, I’ve been experiencing difficulty swallowing, trouble eating (mainly stabbing pains in the upper right, upper centre and entire left side), nausea, vomiting, fullness after small meals and bowel movement changes. For those that have had similar experiences, I was wondering what sort of questions may be asked or what the follow-up tests (if any) might be suggested? Any help would much appreciated. Cheers, Courtney.
Avatar n tn I have been to ED, had a CT scan and it showed gall stones which my doctor said has nothing to do with the left upper abdominal pain. But before my CT scan I had h pylori and been treated for it. For a while the pain was gone. Now that I had my gallbladder removed due to the stones, the pain disappeared as well. However lately, the upper left abdominal discomfort seems to be back. I get temporary relief when I pass gas. My CT scan and blood tests came out normal.
Avatar f tn I HAVE HAD ON AND OFF UPPER ABDOMINAL TIGHTENING ALL DAY ACCOMPANIED BY LIWER BACK DULL AND ACHINESS. IM DEBATING GOING TO LABOR AND DELIVERY AS I AM ONLY 26 WEEKS AND CONFUSED AS TO WHAT MY BODY IS TELLING ME. BABY IS VERY ACTIVE, MORE ACTIVE THAN NORMAL. DR SAYS SOUNDS LIKE CONTRACTIONS BUT WONTT KNOW IF ITS TRUE OR BRAXTON UNTIL I GET CHECKED. I HAD BRAXTON HICKS WITH MY FIRST IN THE THIRD TRIMESTER BUT RESTING MADE THEM GO AWAY.
403153 tn?1297254495 Yesterday I had fever and some abdominal cramps like menstrual and lower abdominal pain. I was to L&D and they made me cardiotocogram. There wasn`t contractions but the baby`s heart rate was oscilating a lot. There were some accelerations (upper than 180/min) and decelerations (above 100/min). The dr told me that these changes are related to baby movement. I`m 32,3 weeks. Do someone have the same experience?
