Common Questions and Answers about Contractions grammar sentences

Avatar f tn I can get over most grammar. The thing I can't stand is not using periods at the end of your sentences. I usually skip those questions because it just drives me crazy. I'm I fast reader, but when there are no periods what so ever, I feel like it takes too much time and concentration just to figure out what's being said, even if all words are spelled correctly. But that's just my thoughts...
Avatar m tn Sorry for the bad grammar in some sentences.
Avatar f tn 50 pm but sure aint gonna make it !!! Soo sorry I am making the most grammar mistakes but Im just like omggggg feeling !!! So far no contractions but im heading out now !!!
Avatar f tn m not the grammar police but it does bother me. But I just have to remember people on here are from all over and grew up different than I did.
973741 tn?1342342773 This is going to sound snobby but bad grammar - not horrific grammar, I can forgive people who are truly uneducated - but incorrect grammar written and spoken by people who think they're using good grammar flies all over me. Haha. Like, "This is a picture of Jim and I at the beach". Or "The zoo announces the arrival of two new giraffe's". "I was in a relationship for 3 years, but they turned out to be a cheater".
539694 tn?1434565947 I regard myself as pretty articulate despite the occasional grammar or spelling blip. However something has been happening to me over the last 2 years there seems to be some kind of gap between my thought process and the written word. I keep writing the word "have as help" and I will use "one" and "won" interchangably. When writing sentences I'm also missing out very important words like "not" or "the".
Avatar f tn How many months are you?
Avatar f tn I would go to l d sounds like your water and they can do a paper test to confirm
Avatar m tn In fact, when I was younger I was very fluent with the tongue and could eloquently speak even the most complex sentences. Today I am 19, and I have trouble speaking 100% and words/sentences end up being tongue twisters for me. It makes me unconfident when I want to ask a question knowing I probably wouldn't be able to say it right. It's like when I speak my tongue kind of trips itself, or better say that it gets "stiff".
Avatar f tn He never had any speech delays but seems to have difficulty expressing himself sometimes, grammar is off. I can understand him and most of what he says is completely appropriate but he seems to have difficulty phrasing his sentences. He is sometimes disruptive in his preschool and has difficulty transitioning at the beginning of the class and during clean-up time. A psychologist that he see's suggested he may have PDDNOS but a psychiatrist disagreed. Who is right?
612876 tn?1355514495 Hey gang! I'm back and I think I'm actually on the road to recovery. I'm going to try to ease back into my routine over the next few days. I've missed you all, and thanks for bearing with me while I try to catch up with all the posts I'm behind on!! (Please also ignore the fact that I'm apparently ending sentences with prepositions. I just don't have the brainpower for impeccable grammar today.) Off with the hospital bracelet and on with the show!
Avatar n tn He has just started to make two-three word sentences. He uses non verbal communication and likes to point at things. He can say and name objects around the house. He spontaneously speaks words and sentences like the A,B,C, song or "I love Mama", I love Dada". He has great eye contact. If you ask him his name and age he will tell you. He plays with all his toys equally and likes to dress and feed his Elmo toy.
Avatar f tn Without * excuse my grammar I'm really tired and tried to write so quick.
475300 tn?1312423126 "your finger has to hit less keys" Excuse me, but I use both my middle fingers to type. And that should read " *fewer* keys". jk Oops, I mean just kidding. The trouble is, 'common usage' is going to win out over proper spelling, proper grammar, proper definition every time. A good example on this forum is that 'acute hepatitis' is now commonly used to refer to the period of time immediately following infection, even if asymptomatic.
Avatar f tn Cailin, is he a "stickler" for grammar? Reason I ask is, I'm kind of a stickler for grammar, and table manners. I was raised in a home where perfect grammar was spoken, and formal table manners were used during meals, and it bothers me when boyfriends or my now husband have poor grammar or manners. Is that what you're talking about?
Avatar m tn takes effective? you mean takes effect? and no, my doctor told me one week and i think i'm going to trust her as apposed to someone who can't properly conjugate verbs or form correct sentences.
Avatar n tn My due date is the 15 bit getting induced on the 9th cuz baby is too big. Gonna try a vaginal delivery either way. But I feel great.. maybe that's the problem.. no pain what so ever. I've been exercising throughout my entire pregnancy so I know that helped with the pain. I just finished a bike ride and waked for 15 min afterward and did squats with the bar and a kettle ball in hopes that contractions start.. it's been abt 40 min that I finished and still no contractions..
464067 tn?1297298432 It may not be full on sentences but your daughter should be saying a couple of words here and there. My mother and I were talking actually about this yesterday since my friends 24 month old isn't talking and she said that the best thing to do is to talk to your child like an adult and also to ask questions. For instance, if your child is pointing to their sippy cup (or whatever) instead of saying, "oh do you want your cup" try getting her to ask for it using her own words.
Avatar n tn you need to fix your grammar. i dont understand what you are saying because of the grammar issues.
Avatar f tn There appears to be a rash of hoax like questions here lately as is evidenced by poor grammar and misspelled words.I am not going to respond to them. There have also been redundant questions on Genital Warts which have been answered here NUMEROUS TIMES and the questions of oral cancer due to HPV which has been answered here NUMEROUS TIMESt and in the doctors forum. In fact the doctors have stated their rather tired of answering them and for ppl to READ THEIR RESPONSES in the archives....
Avatar f tn Congratulations on being clean for 2 weeks!! We all understand how hard it is. Don't worry about your spelling and/or grammar, most of us can understand what your saying. The point of this forum is to have a support group while going through this hell. Keep up the good work, I wish I was as strong as you... I gave in and took a pill the other day... I am having a rough time mentally!!
Avatar n tn My daughter is three and a half years old and she barely talks. She'll say "juice" "thanks" and a bunch of other things and has a few phrases like "what happened?", but she isn't talking in sentences. I've tried many things like flash cards (she blazes right through them) and making her repeat one word at a time to make a complete sentence and basically encouraging her to talk as much as possible.
Avatar n tn She is able and articulate and passed her 11plus exams and so will be attending a Grammar school as does her elder sister of 16. I have no worries about her educationally. However, since being VERY young, she has not been able to follow instructions given if there are more than one or two to follow. We wrote her little lists when she was 7 for school to have on her desk to help her to focus at the school's suggestion but she often took off the sellotaped lists and then lost them!
676912 tn?1332812551 my guys are 14 months and they can say: hello? what? (sounds like wa and they do the shoulder shrug) kitty cat (sounds like ki ca) daddy mom/mommy where kitty cat (where ki ca) ba-ba juice (sounds like ju) blankey (sounds like bank) no no (pronounce na na) and they shake their heads no.
Avatar m tn Take it up with Medhelp. It is prominently displayed that this forum is unmoderated. That means if anybody posting has doubts about the information given, they should of course check with their own health care provider. What are my cridentionals[sic]? I'm not in the medical profession, if that is what you are asking. I have a professional (postgraduate) degree, however.
