Avatar n tn I've had no issues at all with my son or my pregnancy. I've not even mentioned it to my doctor but my midwife knows I'm still breastfeeding and was really supportive. You could try the kellymom website or the la leche league website for more information about breastfeeding whilst pregnant.
2075786 tn?1342908758 when the milk is released some experience a tingling sensation just prior... Oxytocin is also released during an orgasm and is responsible for pleasure contractions during the orgasm and also responsible for labour contractions(and the uterus contracting back down to size after delivery)... but there are different amounts of the hormone released for each... I can honestly say ive never heard of a full on orgasm (id think its rare) and i wouldnt associate it with being a p edaphile...

Avatar f tn In general, nipple stimulation is what causes the uterus contractions and might bring on labor. You can do that without too much effort but agree that the nipples are awful sensitive during pregnancy. I'd try walking or having sex with your partner which can also bring on labor.

415165 tn?1243660347 There are reports in the lay press of the use of herbal medicines, aerobic exercise, and dietary supplements, but because most women with painful breastfeeding require immediate relief of the pain to continue breastfeeding successfully, it is important to offer a treatment plan that will alleviate the pain quickly. Nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker, has been used to treat Raynaud’s phenomenon because of its vasodilatory effects.
Avatar f tn Everyone is not the same and some do get milk early. If you plan to breastfeed then try pumping a couple times a day and store it. If it cause contractions stop asap but some can pump while pregnant with no problem.
6918915 tn?1395932871 I plan on breastfeeding my daughter when she's born. I'm 37 weeks an this is my second baby. My first was born 10 years ago and I did breast feed him but only for about 6 weeks because my milk didn't come in enough to satisfy him. Anyway, I'm almost done with this pregnancy (hallelujah!) but I feel like the entire time I was soooooooo emotional to the point where I feel like I've been a different person and I can't wait to get my old self back.
Avatar f tn In the begining of my pregnancy I was spotting on and off for 3 weeks (6-7-8) some doctors and alot of people adviced me to stop breast feeding if I want to keep the baby, my daughter was 15 months at that time , and I couldn't simply stop breast feeding but I started giving her more solids and put her in a day care center , eventually she asked for less milk . Now I'm 20w+2d I'm still breast feeding once during day time , and twice during night. And everything is just fine.

Avatar f tn Your doc is being a little old fashioned and very overcautious. And it is not like one breastfeeding session is going to cause contractions that you could not get to stop by lying down and drinking some water. Honestly, how dumb can a doctor be.

689528 tn?1364135841 There are a couple times through the book though that mention having a glass of wine during the first stage of labour in order to relax and sleep through contractions. I think it's put in our heads about alcohol and the effects on a pregnancy are sooo terrible. But would it really be that terrible to actually have a glass of wine in order to get a couple hours of shut eye?! Just wondering your thoughts ladies..... Note: a GLASS of wine....they don't talk about a whole bottle...
Avatar n tn I am 30 and my forst little is 9months. I just found out i am pregnant and my 9mth old is breastfed, with solids and supplemented with formula too. She healthy, crawling and independent. Can someone tell me through thier experience if its safe or not to breastfeed while pregnant.  Since breastfeeding DOES contract the uterus, does that put my unborn little in danger?

638529 tn?1222972731 I dont take any form of birth controle, nor use condoms of any kind. I do breastfeed full time, but the regularity of feedings during night time are questionable due to the fact my son sleeps in bed with me. For the past few weeks I've been experiencing minor to moderate cramps. A week ago I had brown discharge for one day, but then went away. My discharge levels have also increased just like what happend in my last pregnancy.
