contractions at week 36

At what week do your doctor start checking ur cervix for dilation? I will be 32wks on Thursday but I ve my routine appointment tmrw.....just wondering.

I had my 36 week visit to OB but she's didn't do any internal checkup. The only thing they did was BP and heart rate of baby and ultra sound with her small handy one to make sure that baby turned head down and it is..

but i was just wondering if any of you ladies were already dialated at 36 weeks? Im starting to get pretty anxious and i hope im starting to make a little progress :)) i havent had any contractions or anything yet though, does that mean i havent dialated yet??

I started having contractions right at 25 weeks but I got the shots to stop em and to help mature baby's lungs.I'm now 27 weeks and hoping to make it full term.

m hoping what happened to another mom on here happens to me. Lets say I go in for my 37 week next week and ive dilated more like to a 5 or above or something. Will they automatically send me to the hospital and if they do. What happens? Obviously I know ill have the baby. But will they start contractions???? Or????? Amazingly enough this is my second kid. But! With my first. I had to be induced because absolutely nothing was happening. This time is alot diff.

Anyone gave birth at 36 weeks? if so how much did baby weigh , could it nurse and suck bottle? How long was the hospital staay and was it a girl or boy?

Okay so im 36 weeks and the 0ther day i was havin contractions about 3 mins apart so i went to my doctors to get checked 0ut and c0mes to find out im already 3 cm dialated so she made me go into labor and delivery to be monitored , iwas there for about 7 hours still having contractions but they sent me home because i 0nly dialted to a 3 1/2 .. how much do u have to be dialated for them to keep you ?

I've been a 1 since 36 weeks. Now 38 weeks and still a 1!

Nope there's not you can be dilated 1 or 2 for weeks. I was at 1 at 34 weeks currently 39+5 I'm at 2 and 30% effaced contractions for past 5 weeks still no baby! Hang in there!

And I preferred sitting up at times because contractions were hurting so bad when laying down, (I had back labor) thankfully I had a easy fast labor went in to labor at 4 am had him at 11am but just try to remember to breath.

Maybe getting checked for dialation, depends on your doctor tho. Im 35+5 and just got my group B and second test for HIV, idk why they do it twice, your doctor office may be different tho! Next week at my 36+5 appt I'll be getting checked for dialation!

I went into the Dr again (I have been seeing them wekley for 5 weeks now due to contractions and dialation) I am 36 weeks tomorrow and I am now dialated to 3 cm amd 60% effaced, my cervics has moved forward and they don't think it will be too long before this baby gets here! YAY! you never now though babies have a mind of their own and will come when they are ready!

Im having a girl and at 35+2 I went from being closed and my cervix long and at 36 weeks I was half a cm And at 37 weeks I was a cm and at 37+2 I was 2 cm.

36 weeks, 28 days to go and I don't think I've felt any contractions or Braxton hicks. I do feel my tummy get really really hard and I get super super dizzy while I'm at work feeling like I could pass out at any moment. But I want to be able to recognize contractions. Is it possible I'm feeling them just not recognizing them?

I'm having the SAME issues! I made 36 weeks yesterday. My doctor sent me to Labor and Delivery a week and a half ago...I was 2 centimeters dilated and had activity in my uterus (I think this is another phrase for slight contractions)! As days go on...it's more and more painful/uncomfortable!

Yes, I've actually been dilated since I was 26 weeks though, but I was more dilated at my 36 week appointment. I'm now 3 centimeters dilated, and 80% effaced, but that was almost a week ago, and I've finally been off bed rest this past week, so it's likely (with the cramping and pain I've had) that I've dilated more now. Hey everyone this is my second baby and I'm 36 weeks i was just wondering what week did all of y'all go into labor because this baby feels like hes coming early.

& nothing no dilation no nothing but I have gained 8 pounds in 2 weeks wth now im jus home sad lol im ready to have this baby my doctor just laughs at me & says better luck next week lol
