contractions

8906457 tn?1406849110 I wouldn't worry..even if your water breaks you would have time to get to hospital. For me even after water bag breaking my contractions didn't come for a short while after the same day. It may be uncomfortable but I still think you can make it if it came to that and no one could take you.
Avatar f tn Im stll going to school also. Dont worry you will start feeling contractions or you will reconize when.somethings not right with your body. Goodluck!
Avatar f tn Does any body drive about an hour to and from work / school ... Just want to know how is it , I will be starting school soon and its an hour away from my house ...
Avatar f tn Anyone else having a problem with preterm contractions? My first born was 4 weeks early so my doctor feels that this one will come early as well. It's nerve wrecking because even though she knows I'm at risk, they aren't doing much to prevent it prevent it other than giving me meds to stop them which makes me really tired. I'm a grad student in my last semester of classes and they would rather pull me from school than find other preventative measures.
Avatar n tn I have a 5 yr old kindergartener. She is bright, intelligent, and for the most part well behaved at home. The problem is at school she throws tanrums and goes berserk. She didn't do it in preschool nor does she do it at home. The teacher telling her to do something she doesn't want to to a child cuting in front of her in line will set her off.
Avatar m tn We are having problems with my 5 1/2 year old at school. Academically he is keeping up with all the other children and is very bright but socially he appears to be having problems. Every week we are getting reports that he has hit another child. He has got a very short fuse and if he doesn't agree with something then he loses his temper very quickly. We are told by his teachers that he often refuses to do his work.
Avatar f tn She seems to always do it at school. I have spoke several times with the teacher and she said my daughter will hang on the desk leg having the leg inbetween. She said she is like in a daze when doing so. I am really concerned for her because I dont know what to do. I am afraid children will start to notice what she is doing and then that is when it will get horrible. She does not do this at home. I dont know if its because she is stressed at school or what the issue is.
Avatar f tn Does he do this at school and home or just school? I can think of a few reasons for not wanting to go at school. Maybe it's too "public?
Avatar f tn My Son just start kidergarten August 23. He never go to school before (no Pre-School) so he really don't know how to be at school and at school bus. We give him a little bit view before school start it, but it doesn't make him have any clue. Our house also don't have the closer neighboor and no other kids around, so he used to be playing alone at home, even sometime i take him to the park near here but it just help him to learn about playing with other kids a bit.
Avatar f tn If he is finding the new school environment difficult to cope with the school needs to look at it to make sure it is low arousal. He might benefit from a booket with a picture of each classroom and the teacher/teaching assistants in that class. He may need alot of extra input from the Speech Therapist to help him learn the names of his teacher and some of the pupils. He may need alot of extra support during playtimes and dinnertimes.
Avatar f tn She has lot friends back home and is the most popular one. She enjoys dancing, singing, pretend play, but at school she does not seem to be participating quite well. She gets pretty uncomfortable around new people, new settings and refuses to greet anyone when asked to. Is this normal? She clings to me at parties. I am planning to visit her teacher to know whether she is completely mute at school or only shy. Please help me. I am really confused. Tks. namaste.
Avatar n tn My son is 2.5 years old. he started montessori school four month ago. Today at teacher-parent conference I was told to find a different school for him( got kicked out). I was in shock because teachers never told me he had any problems. Only once,in a first two weeks, i was given a notice that he misbehaved in school, so i assumed he got better. My son is a very hyper active child, he has a sharp mind, but only does what he wants to do , and not what you ask him to do.
Avatar n tn Also I heard a good idea about giving your child a token for every good (or improved) day she has at school and if she has a bad (or not improving) day at school she gets a token or even all of them away. Then at the end of the week she can buy something with her tokens. How do you talk to her about the behavior. Have you told her about the consequence if she doesn't improve? Maybe a little scare tactic that she will not be able to go to that school anymore if she doesn't behave better?
Avatar n tn t stressing about getting in trouble at home as well as at school. (Which is totally unheard of to me, not punishing your child at home for misbehaving at school), but since he does seem to be anxious, I said I would give this a try. She also said that many of the problems are with one particular child, so I asked her to give the parents my number so we could get together outside of school and help the two boys learn appropriate ways to get along. She also said she thinks he will outgrow this.
Avatar n tn My son (12), is very well-behaved at home and with adults, gets good grades at school, but has problems with his behaviour at school. We have travellled a lot, living in various countries. How can we help him with the discipline problems (at school) and his socialising skills. ..more children contact?
1552155 tn?1314632896 t happen during the summer, weekends, or vacation. Only school or me worrying about school at home. I have no idea whats wrong with me! I cant stand it, sometimes i just sit alone and cry because i cant deal with it. Why does this have to happen to me? Im seriously crying right now. Please, i need some help. I was thinking about getting a counselor. I told my mom, last year that i was anxious sometimes and i felt like i was depressed. She asked why, but i couldn't give a straight answer.
Avatar f tn m just bummed that this is happening! I had spurts of contractions starting at 27-28wks with both if my previous pregnancies work my kids but this is really early for them to start!
Avatar f tn 28 wks today... been having contractions all day. Not at all regular. A few painful ones... tried calling the dr, shocker he wasn't there. Any suggestions??
Avatar f tn I also noticed I have to eat more regularly during pregnancy. I keep trail mix, etc at hand and eat at least a few bites of something every few hours. I've also bumped up my water intake quite a bit and that seems to help with my energy.
Avatar n tn Wow, you had your kid potty trained by 1? My boys were much more stubborn as are many since the US average age for boys to be potty trained is 3.5 years. More power to you lady!! So, why would he all of a sudden be peeing in his pants at school? Well, it is a big change. He's got a whole new routine and set up there. Exciting things are happening and leaving it to go to the bathroom is probably not desired. Or he's so engaged that he waits too long and can't make it.
Avatar n tn My 6 years old is very quiet at school. He is good in studies, very chatty at home and in family/friends gathering, but won't talk at school. Even when he knows the answer, he won't raise his hand. Won't even ask to go for Toilet. If asked, he just says that he is shy. Please advise. thanks.
Avatar f tn t like to play or being around her. She became very angry at home and school. She calls out the teacher a lot, she trhows little fits when she can't understand something and she has trouble following directions. At home, she doesn't show a lot of simpathy for her little brother and she laught at him when he gets hurt. I'm constantly talking to her, trying to reach her. Right now, she gets frustated when i talk to her, but never violent.
Avatar m tn My 5 yr old son has the look of scared on his face when I drop him off at school, he cries for awhile and then he'll cry on and off the hole day at school. The teacher is very good about e-mailing us to let us know how he is. My husband and I are concerned, when he was going to pre-school we had the same problem with him. There we would take him to his class room to say goodbye, here we have to let him out at the door and leave.
1006035 tn?1485575897 My daughter has verbal apraxia has been attending school full time. Children with apraxia often throw temper tantrums when they feel frustrated, anxious and afraid. It's hard know what you want to say and not being able to say it. I've been told that she's been throwing fits at school. They aren't sure what is causing them. She's been throwing things and just been generally upset. Apparently teachers and parents have gone to the school board to complain and express concerns.
Avatar n tn t discipline him for something that has happened hours earlier and expect him to draw any cause and effect from that. I agree with all of what Mark said - except for the discipline at home for school problems at least for this age group. However, you can reinforce at home behaviors that will carry over to school. For example there are books aimed at the 4 to 7 year old crowd that are meant to be read aloud to them and then practiced.
Avatar m tn I understand that the school can not have a situation where a child is hurting staff or pupils but if the child is stating they act this way to go home and then they go home how can we get him to behave. The school call everyday he is at school. The stress is getting to me now. Why does my son behave at home but not at school? I have a reward chart for good behaviour, I constantly remind him of what is expected we talk about things he can do when he feels angry to help cool down. I praise him.
