Yeah I sort of had to tell my employer when I had a bad flare as started losing use of my left side. However I planned on never telling them, and I was correct in that. After I told them my job became a nightmare! I agree that it would be best to ask your neurologist. How horrible that you have to be tased for training. Doesn't it work on suspects because it is so damn unpleasant? That seems like a harsh training!

From the fear of going in the very first day for training, to muddling THROUGH the training despite some rough anxious days, to now two months on the job!!!! That's incredible!!! I think you need to focus on the fact that you DO have anxiety, and you WILL from time to time have bad days. Now, obviously, the kind of job you do, your boss is right, it's important to not show fear as much as possible.

i know this is tough to answer cause everyone is different while tx but are some of you folks in construction...doing high work with power tools..building houses?? ...thanks....

I have friends one being a State Trooper and another who is a city police officer. Not only do they get training at the state police acedemy for 6 months they also get 6 months of ride along training. So that is 1 full year before they are alone. Police are to protect and serve, they are not and should not be trainined in trying to handle mental health cases. The training is putting into cuffs and taking to a hospital. You want them to be MH professionals, they can't be.

Okay so my boyfriend is in school right now for construction and said he wants to build her crib himself... I really dont know what to think of it. I trust him i know that he could do it but idk if that would exactly be the best option.. What do you ladies think? Would you let him do it or go out and just buy one from the store?

Right now I feel im in way over my head. I just got hired as a police officer, im not in training anymore, this is the real deal. But I have an Anxiety disorder, should I have picked this profession? I feel like I made a mistake.
