Well it would appear that they are so big and powerful that NO ONE regulates THEM! They inspect their own equipment if and when they want to? Do they answer to no one? Avatar n tn Pus means there is an infection, and at this point I would see your doctor. You may have something embedded in your knee that you know nothing about, and until that is removed it will stay infected. A friend of mine woke up with extreme pain on one side of his stomach and when he went to the hospital they found a piece of metal embedded in his stomach. He was in construction years prior to this and still doesn't recall any incident where this could have happened.

That comes to abut 1 inspector for every 59,000 American workers. There's no way it can do its job with so few resources, but OSHA has been systematically hollowed out for years under Republican administrations and Congresses that have despised the agency since its inception.
Avatar f tn I failed my drivers test twice. I finally passed in a different town. Try changing towns. Find out where the road test is given. You don't have to drive there. You can just be a passenger and still familiarize yourself with the course. Just keep trying. That's all you can do. Use a little humor to break the tension between you and the inspector. I told my third inspector if I didn't pass this time I was gonna buy a bike.

152660 tn?1291755571 Hi All! We are getting ready to begin finishing my parent's basement into an apartment for myself. We will be doing most of the work ourselves mainly during weekends and will have someone coming in to work on the floor who will be using jackhammers for probably 2 days then put in two egress windows. We will have a plumber and electrician come in to work too. We will probably have people in for 6-7 days at once and then plumber and electrician do more later.

It's an old building so I thought it was just painted shut and asked my dad if he'd try and open it when they came to visit. He did. And couldn't get it open either.

Avatar m tn I’m concerned about exposure to construction dust leading to silicosis. I work in a theater that’s been under construction for a few months. They are installing new stadiums and seats. I know they are drilling/jackhammering concrete, mixing concrete and other general construction tasks like that. I try to be careful to avoid the areas where the construction is heaviest but some times my tasks force me to move through them.
