Common Questions and Answers about Construction safety belt

safety

Avatar f tn The magnetic style safety-key disengaged without issue when a user drifted toward the end of the running belt, which stopped the motor and running belt as expected. When walking within reach of the control console, the motor housing which resides at the front of the running belt, created some interference with a user's feet, but it was infrequent.
Avatar f tn Hope everyone had a very safe 4th of july! I was involved in a car crash & im 30 weeks pregnant. If any of you have this happen due to another stupid driver, always make sure the seat belt is positioned properly on the belly & keep calm!
Avatar f tn t wear your heavy tool belt. As you progress, depending on if you have any other complications or not, you may have to reduce how much you're up and down a ladder, again how much you lift, etc. And as your belly grows, it will be harder and harder to fit into some of the areas you need to for pulling wire, etc. And of course there is always risk of an electrical shock. Again, definitely talk to your ob. They may limit your work early.
Avatar m tn because I thought it was a racing game. It is actually a roller coaster simulator where you lie down on your back. There is no seat belt. I was on the ride for about 40 seconds before I hit stop. Any danger of placental abruption? It has been a few days since the ride and I have not had any bleeding.

Cornell Global Labor Institute’s (GLI) analysis of the project has found that these numbers are unsubstantiated, and that the project will produce far fewer jobs than they claim. In fact, the construction of KXL may destroy more jobs than it creates." "KXL’s U.S. Project Budget is $3.3 billion, NOT $7 billion: TransCanada claims that KXL is a $7 billion project.
1747881 tn?1546175878 Natural gas fracking (far more than Trumpian trade policy or browbeating of companies like Carrier) is the force reawakening manufacturing opportunity in the Rust Belt, timed perfectly for Mr. Trump’s arrival. Holding back development was not the depressed gas price—that’s what attracts manufacturers—but the lack of infrastructure, specifically pipelines, to get the gas to prospective plant sites. Blame Mr. Obama and his Keystone theatrics.
Avatar n tn Pus means there is an infection, and at this point I would see your doctor. You may have something embedded in your knee that you know nothing about, and until that is removed it will stay infected. A friend of mine woke up with extreme pain on one side of his stomach and when he went to the hospital they found a piece of metal embedded in his stomach. He was in construction years prior to this and still doesn't recall any incident where this could have happened.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if medicaid covers maternity belts? Doc wrote me a perscription for one today..
Avatar f tn With my first son (who is now 7 months) my bf and I were in a car accident (3 cars involved) I.was 36 weeks and honestly I didn't have a seat belt on..many people told me it was unsafe being as big as I was that it could harm him..( true or false?) Anyway we were giving someone a ride home and needless to say if he wasn't in the car everything wouldn't have been so bad it was a two door car so the seats push forward..

Avatar m tn With regards to asbestos exposure, he should discuss the situation with other employees, his employee health and safety representative, and his employers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) can provide more information or make an inspection. 152660 tn?1291755571 Hi All! We are getting ready to begin finishing my parent's basement into an apartment for myself. We will be doing most of the work ourselves mainly during weekends and will have someone coming in to work on the floor who will be using jackhammers for probably 2 days then put in two egress windows. We will have a plumber and electrician come in to work too. We will probably have people in for 6-7 days at once and then plumber and electrician do more later.
Avatar m tn How low is that? Assuming you live in the US, the National Safety Council estimates a 1 in 17,000 lifetime risk of being hit by lightning, 12 times higher than the odds you caught HIV; and that each US resident has 1 chance in 1,756 of accidental death (traffic accidents, drowning, falls, etc, etc) each year. In other words, the chance you'll die accidentally within a year probably is somewhere around 127 times higher than the probability you caught HIV.
7512529 tn?1392738162 I know they want you to have a 2nd c-section before they try a natural birth to build up scar tissue to make it safer, I went into this pregnancy expecting a c-section because I thought that was the only way I could give birth now that I have 1 under my belt so the news that the next one could be natural puts a silver lining on it for me, and knowing when my baby's coming and not going through labor this time are definite pluses!
1301089 tn?1290666571 Isn't this nice! We're giving those dear little drug smugglers and murderers their own park. Never mind it's American National Parkland. Funded and paid for with American tax money. I guess actually guarding it with armed Guardsmen might insult someone.
Avatar f tn I had a friend who dressed as a construction worker ( hard hat, neon safety vest) and she painted a stop sign on her tummy that said "caution BUMP" I thought it was super cute.
Avatar m tn I’m concerned about exposure to construction dust leading to silicosis. I work in a theater that’s been under construction for a few months. They are installing new stadiums and seats. I know they are drilling/jackhammering concrete, mixing concrete and other general construction tasks like that. I try to be careful to avoid the areas where the construction is heaviest but some times my tasks force me to move through them.
