Avatar m tn A sever head blow is likely to cause headaches. If you develop nausea, vomiting, excess sleep, severe headache, difficulty in walking and balance, tremors, seizures, vision problems, ringing in ears etc then consult a doctor immediately. These symptoms develop if there is a brain injury or bleed. Otherwise this pressure will go in a few days. However, it is important to get a medical evaluation. So please consult your doctor once. Take care!
Avatar f tn I had a metal iron shelf fall on my head at work 4 months ago, got a concussion and ended up with post traumatic concussion syndrome. He needs to go to the doctor!!!!! He needs to have a CT or MRI to check for headbleeding then he needs to see a neurologist and let them run test!!!!! It's so important. They told me if I hit my head again I'll have permanent damage.
Avatar n tn I have a pretty good knot on my head still and know I had a concussion (dizziness, fatigue, nausea/vomiting and headache). Well.. today my head still hurts, but I am noticing pain in my ear as well still. That began last night. Since I do not have insurance, I am wondering if I should be concerned and seek treatment. Please advise!
Avatar f tn I am sorry I don't know what pcs stands for so I cannot comment. In the meantime I would ask for a medication to prevent vomiting as it will ruin your teeth etc.

Avatar m tn Should I be worried if my concussion headaches have moved from the back of my head and upper neck to my frontal lobe area and temples??
Avatar f tn I suffered a concussion 4 months ago when I fell during a parade with my high school band. My mom took me to the ER and I was diagnosed with a concussion. I had a CT scan and nothing was out of the ordinary, and it seemed to just be a mild concussion. 4 months later, I'm still having issues. I'm a junior in high school and concentration and memory issues made me switch out of all of my honors classes into regular ones and drop both math and science completely.
Avatar f tn How long after a concussion is it normal to still be feeling nauseous and have difficulty with memory, balance etc. I got hit in the face with a softball 11 days ago and am still nauseous. Cannot stand on one leg with eyes closed, and have forgotten things like PIN numbers, passwords etc. is it too soon to expect these symptoms to be gone, or should I go back to the drs. I did also break my nose, which was realigned under local anaesthetic 6 days ago. No LOC. No actual vomiting.
Avatar f tn It is a good sign that it is improving but it would probably be best to have a doctor check it out. This has some information that you could discuss with a doctor: http://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar n tn Four days ago I hit the right side of my forehead, frontal lobe on corner of hard wood door. It swelled up immediately and iced it for two or so hours then went to bed. Day three I started bruising around outside of my eye and became tired and confused a little. My dr. Tested me and said it was mild concussion and to take it easy. Does anyone know what signs I can look for if I'm to be getting better. I'm still tired, irritable and restless.
Avatar m tn She has a little nausea, shes sure she has a slight concussion. She has no memeory loss. She is saying that her face is numb she can feel when she touches her face but when she doesnt touch it she has a tingling sensation should we go to an ER? Would that cause nerve damage to her whole face?

Avatar f tn I found this website since I've decided to stop taking vicodine. I've been taking about 1000mg to 2000mg for the past 8 months. For the past week I weened myself to only 500mg a day (about 1 pill or 1/2 a yellow norco)... I try to go without taking anything which has made me VERY cranky, sleepy, achy... which I can handel, but I've been vomiting and I have to give and take 1/2. I'm doing this alone and my friends and family don't know that I have this problem...
Avatar f tn t want to freak your parents out, but the first thing you MUST do if you have a severe blow to the head is get yourself to the doctor. Concussion is a potentially serious trauma, and although your folks may be mad at you, they would be devistated if something worse hapened and they thought you hadn't told them you'd had an accident.
Avatar f tn I start to remember when I got home (somewhat) because I remember vomiting another five times. The next morning I completely rehydrated and felt a little better, but woke up to some popped blood vessels in my eyes and also red dots around them. I had a TERRIBLE headache, which I assumed to be a hangover, so I had some coffee and took some advil. But my head is still hurting today (two days later), so now I'm wondering if I should be concerned about that blow to the head...
