Hello. Several days ago I was in a car accident. I was knocked unconscious after hitting the windshield, and suffered several lacerations on my face, which bled quite a bit and required stitches to close. My buddy was the driver, and was injured a lot less than I was. He suffered a few cuts and scrapes and was not bleeding badly, he didn't require any stitches. Now here's my question: am I at risk for HIV exposure?

I have to agree with geminigirl...if you are feeling unwell still after 4 days you really need to see a doctor. I made that mistake. I was in a car accident and I was not wearing my seat belt and my airbag delayed when it came out and I hit more steering wheel than airbag after I hit the steering wheel then the airbag came out and whipped my head back.
Well I was in a car accident, broke my hand in 3 places and had a concussion.(not my fault, some drunk, ironic I suppose) I don't really remember much, I hit my head pretty hard, I'm ok, everythings gonna be fine but.......I'm positive some one gave me opiates at the hospital(I think just once or twice) because I woke up in my room and I could "feel it" all the addicts no what I mean.

I had a car accident five months ago in which i received several injuries including a concussion which caused my right pupil to become musch smaller than my left, immedietly after the accident I complained of pain and visual disturbance and my eye was watering almost constantly for a few weeks. They now say that the person can sleep after a concussion. The reasons for not letting them sleep before was incase the person slips into a coma - when they are awake at least they can monitor the person.
Try making a deal with him - if he gets checked out by a doctor - you will let him sleep.

I had a concussion and get dizzy and headache all night long exspecially when I turn side to side. because I can"t get comfortable because I hurt my right shoulder and broke my wrist too. looking for any suggestion . I'm healing and have been trying to decide which exercise would be the best? I've belonged to a gym since Oct. but am just concerned to start exercising again. She said that it is possible that I might have a mild concussion. I also had a pretty decent size knot on the side of my head that went away after about a week.
3 weeks later and I am still getting these headaches. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would say the pain has not surpassed a 3. A lot of times it only lasts maybe 5 minutes (sometimes less) then goes away; other times it last hours. However, I receive them multiple times per day.
