Ok so I have had close to the whole chart in symptoms of a concussion 7 months post impact. I was recovering at a fairly normal pace until about 3/4 weeks into recovery when pain worse than when I had the initial headache from trauma. Keep in mind at that point I was a healthy 15 year old boy that was extremely active. Well anyway the pain that had returned from nowhere was increasing gradually for about one and a half months until the pain was so intense I had to go to the ER at 1am.
Full recovery is expected from an uncomplicated concussion. But symptoms such as prolonged dizziness, memory loss, decreased mental functioning, irritability, and headaches may occur. I have severe swelling, got an internal stitch and three external -- but the doctor (who I was later informed was extremely rude) said I didnt have a concussion because I was awake, even though I have absolutely no recollection of any of the events. Experience unsteadiness and a complete body tremor a couple of times when tired. Sent home from work again on days 12 and diagnosed as Post concussion syndrome, prescribed total rest and sent for a scan.
On day 13 had MRI scan and was referred to Neurologist. awaiting appt. Did not understand my MRI report 'Moderate cerebellar tonsillar descent with left being worse than the right' and when i posted it on an ' Ask a doctor' site, 2 doctors suggested my symptoms point to CM.

when I came home from work he was still sleeping. I am terrifyed that he has a concussion. What will happen if it goes untreated? He is confused, dizzy and won't go to the doctor. He also says he has some pain. should I bring him to th emergency room? help I am scared and don't know what to do.
sounds like you need to go to the dr. asap. you may have a concussion as well as other problems. an mri at the very least should give you more information.

It sounds like you suffered a concussion. I would not run to the hospital right away since it has been a few days but I would go see your family doctor just to get checked out. I know the balls you are talking about and I would not like to get hit in the head by one. In the meantime lay low and do not do anything strenuous, use in ice pack and some type of pain reliever for your head. You could feel this way for awhile so since you did hurt your head.
I sustained a minor concussion three weeks ago, and though my logical and linguistic faculties seemed to return to normal within a couple days, I have had persistent feelings of pressure and weakness in my head, though these have markedly diminished within the past week. At present, I have recovered enough that I am able to use the computer (with the monitor at low brightness) for simple tasks like reading and writing emails.
The other night while we were driving home at about 65 miles per hour, we had to stop almost immediately due to an elk standing in the road. Starting the next day, I've had concussion symptoms (headache/dizziness/fatigue/sleepiness/mental fatigue/brain fog/difficulty concentrating/feeling out of it). I did not hit my head, but I did sort of brace it/try to hold it in place while we stopped. Is it possible to get a concussion just from slamming on the brakes at 65 miles per hour?
t do any scans, checked her eyes, felt her head, had her jump, touch her nose, said it was a concussion and sent her home with some instructions.
She is a straight A student, no behavior issues, does whatever she wishes, just has headaches 3-4 days a week. No memory problems or anything like that.

Then I had a Cat Scan and was diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome. Could starting weight training so soon made matters worse? No one told me to go home home and rest.
t walk out of work without holding on to the wall. The third day when I was at home, I woke up, I still had a headache and was dizzy all day and just felt blah so I went to my dr. that day. He did a neuro exam and during this exam he made me walk across the room. He seen I wasn't walking straight because I was dizzy. he said he was very sure I had a concussion and so he sent me to the ER for a ct scan.
