Hi, I am an 18 year old male who is still suffering from the effects of multiple concussions in high school. I had one my junior year, which was not too serious, and the effects of it soon cleared up. However, the next year, I received a violent blow to the head (football again) in which my mouthpiece wasn't in correctly. I was wearing a revolution helmet, the supposedly concussion proof helmets, which cracked all the way down the side from where I got hit.
I am 18 years old and last fall during Rugby season I had a concussion. I was out of conscious for around 4 minutes. And now yesterday I was snowboarding and fell multiple times on my head while not wearing a helmet. My head imideatly felt pain in the same spot of where I felt the pain during my concussion in rugby. Im not sure if I lost consciousness or not during one of the falls. And now I am starting the wrestling season I dont know if i should take this season off or not?

My 9 year old fell while snowboarding, hit his head on ice, thankfully he was wearing a snowboarding helmet. He experienced no loss of consciousness, but some dizziness, was dazed, and had a headache. About 3 hrs. post fall he had some temporary visual disturbances, seeing what he described as red flames and seeing pink when the colour he was looking at was grey. This was the point I took him to emerg. and he was dx with a concussion.
My boyfriend shifted positions in bed last night and his arm forcefully collided with my jaw/chin. It really hurt my jaw initially and it still feels pretty tense with a dull ache on that side about an hour later. I have tmj and that's the side of my jaw that pops in place the most so that of course doesn't help. However, I know habe a headache on that side of my head. Should I be concerned that the blow Could be given me a Concussion?
A few hours ago, I tripped and fell on uneven concrete. My knees and hands hit the ground, and my head whipped forward and my chin hit the concrete pretty hard. My chin didn't get cut, but there is a bump on it now. I don't think I have any other symptoms, except I have a upset stomach (probably unrelated). Right away I got up and was a bit shaken up and embarrassed.
Talk to his pediatrician and get a referral to a therapist, and ask for some coping strategies for the child.
I fell off a horse of mine that also fell jumping and landed on my head (had a helmet on). I had a concussion for 2 days and do not remember the accident or couple of weeks that followed. My walking was with a walker as my balance was off. My right eye the opthamologist says had damaged 3rd optical nerve and also muscles, and they say 6 - 8 mo then we will see if they will heal or need surgery....
He was not allowed to play the rest of the year, but was cleared to wrestle when the season started, his cat scans all came back good and he recovered really well. We ordered him a special helmet for this season and practice has begun for football. He is getting really bad headaches off and on. His regular medical doctor says its probably do more to the heat and dehydration than anything but i'm worried could this be a late blooming after effect of the injury?
Earlier today I fell of my horese while cantering, and my helmet fell off before I landed. But, unfortunatly, I landed on the back of my head. Do I have a cuncussion?

I found a lump in my abdomen about 5cm long and 2 cm wide. It's near my hip bone. I found it 5 days ago, and 11 days ago I fell off a horse and got significant grazes on my belly, and really hurt my abdomen in that area. Now the lump is not painful. It is slightly movable. After reading up on google, I think it may be intestine which has squeezed through my abdominal muscles, though it feels too close to the skin as I have a few inches of fat there which should be in the way.
My daughter is 13 she is an Ice Hockey goalie that was hit in the head with a hockey puck during her stretch before a game. She had a helmet on but no mouth piece and wasn't looking as she was talking to the other goalie. She was not knocked out just stunned. Anyway this happened on Feb 18th and the recovery has been very slow. Her doc put her on amitriptline and it seamed to take away the headaches.

My 12 year old son, Ben, suffered a concussion in April 2008 when he was hit with a line drive hardball in his left eye while playing baseball. The impact of the ball caused the concussion, and the shape of his pupil is now oval. I took him to a pediatric opthamologist who did a thorough exam. He said there is no lasting damage other than the shape of the pupil, but he needed glasses.
When my husband was discharged from the ER they gave him a paper explaining about head concussion. So we assumed he had a head concussion. He did o.k. for two days and then started being confused and disoriented again. For the most part he seems fine, but today he had another episode of confussion/disorientation and dizziness. Are this symptoms normal? Thanks for any response.
CT and all came back clear. Other than the cuts and bruises, they diagnosed me with cervical strain and a concussion. I did hit my head-although I do not remember it but my helmet shows it & I am sore. I did not lose consciousness. I have been nauseous and dizzy ever since the accident and it has gotten worse. I feel dizzy just looking at things & when I close my eyes. I am taking Zofran for the nausea.
Now anybody who used that helmet would have been hurt while taking off the helmet. 2-3 times I used the helmet just after he had used it. There was however a 5-10 minute gap between his taking off the helmet and mine using it. Can this be a means of transmission. Should I worry about the cuts on my ear and get tested?

My husband had a bike accident on Sunday landing on his head (helmet) & shoulder. No Insurance. Went to ER. After several xrays, yes he's got a broken collar bone on right side but excrutiating pain in left shoulder. Finally got a CT and confirmed small linear defect present at C7 involving C6 & C7 joint with a small non-displaced fracture. Disk space narrowing at C5-6, C6-7 with marginal posterior spurring. Moderate post bulging at C5-6, and minimal post bulging at C3-4.
i am just really nervous because i dont want to have perminent brain damage if this is a concussion, and i have never had a concussion in my life.
