779793 tn?1235856226 My GF's toy Yorkie was spooked and fell off my dining room table this morning where he landed on flat his right side. She brought him to me as he was unresponsive, not breathing and had a very slow/or no heart rate. I was able to revive him and we rushed him to the vet where he started to gain some coherence, but still lacked coordination and was unable to sit or stand. The DVM gave him a subQ anti-inflammatory and 1/2 of a Valium for his muscle rigidity.
Avatar n tn No, my doctor just said I had a concussion, there was no tests for it. And I had a CAT scan in November because of a seizure but everything came up clear, but I haven't had a scan since my fall.
868804 tn?1239583770 About three years ago I had a concussion in a soccer game. I was knocked unconscious, but got up and managed to play the second half of the game. (big mistake) After the game I felt very sick and when my mom came to pick me up she took me to the hospital right away. The doctors said i had a concussion and gave my mom **** for letting me play the second half. I had a couple more concussions and ended up taking a full year off of all physical activity, as directed by a neurologist.
Avatar f tn My dentist said it was less radiation than going outside. Also, has anyone had their wisdom teeth taken out while pregnant?

Avatar n tn The night time bottle is the worst, but it usually affects the front teeth the most. Three is a good age to start brushing their teeth and teaching them how to do it. I would take your child to the dentist for an evaluation and make sure he/she isn't lacking in any vitamins or minerals. You want to take care of this as it can affect their permanent teeth. I hope this helps and best wishes.

Avatar m tn hello there, i was out on a night out when i got knocked out. i lost two teeth and had bleeding on the brain. im all fine now. its just certian foods smell diffrent to what i remember like salt and vinegar crisps, and they smell horrible. its put me off my appetite. not that it took me a while to get back to normalty, i felt weird for a long time. i feel ive become more stupid. i just dont know what to do.
Avatar n tn Your xrays may show that there is not enough room for the wisdom teeth, or that they are in crooked, etc. Ask your dentist to explain why he thinks they need to come out. I had the opposite problem, with dentists telling me for years that I just needed to let them come in. After years of pain, an oral surgeon removed all 4. He said they were poorly developed and two of them were growing into the jaw. He had to cut those ones out.
899169 tn?1242617019 Maybe you did not pay attention to the original post, but no 4 or 6 year old is going to wear a hard nightguard. Soft nightguards only make things worse. KLT83, grinding in children is nothing to worry about. Their mouths are going through constant changes (jaws growing, losing teeth, getting new teeth) and the grinding is the body's way of trying to balance everything. Most children stop once a majority of their permanent teeth are in because they develop a healthy tooth balance.
Avatar n tn I had a slight concussion, and whip lash. Ever since then I have had severe headaches on the left side of my head and frequent dizziness. The headaches start on the left side of my neck and travel into my head. I wake up in severe pain everyday, and if I move my neck the wrong way or sleep the wrong way, I am severly dizzy all day. This has been very dibilatating during the past two years. I spent months in physical therapy and there was no real relief.
Avatar m tn I had a gay sex with a man, I don't know whether if he has HIV or not even he told me he don't have it. I am bottom but he used a safe condom. And we had a long time kissing, and my teeth were bleeding, and I also tasted the blood during kissing, maybe his teeth were bleeding as well. Besides , He did the blow job for me without using condom. I am really scared about that .Who can tell me if I need to have a HIV test. Many thanks.
Avatar m tn I was involve in a very bad car accident 02/10 and have no memory of the actual wreck. the hospital deemed I have a severe concussion and then also diagnosed me with Post Concussion Syndrome. I am currently also experiencing back and neck problems as well as getting a collarbone checked out for a possible fracture. My question is does coffee effect concussion and PCS recovery. And how long does recovery generally take.
Avatar m tn Now, problem is that every single time I brush off my teeth my gums are ALWAYS bleeding. Does that mean that I have a higher chance of contacting HIV, in case he is HIV positive and doesn't know it? Thank you.

Avatar f tn Loss of consciousness isn’t required for a diagnosis of concussion or post concussion syndrome. Post concussion syndrome occurs within first 7 to 10 days and until 3 months. Symptoms are variable including dizziness, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, loss of concentration and memory, light and noise sensitivity, headache varying from a tension type to cluster headaches. You need to consult a neurologist immediately.
Avatar f tn I am a concussion survivor. Could you get a concussion if your head stops suddenly from a fast movement? Yesterday I was in a hurry and running and pushed the door in front of me. It stopped abruptly which caused my body to stop too. Could this cause a concussion? I'm scared because I am recovering from a concussion already. Does it make me more prone to brain injury? Please, help me!

Avatar f tn I remember little. I had new bonding done on several front teeth that had all (6) sheered; I looked a bit like the abominable snow man. I remember trying to get to the bathroom several times, walking my clothes off in the hallway & bedrooms. I fouled my entire home. This, along with additional "pass-out periods, long ones, went on for several months evidently.
