I really could go on and on. But these are people who took blows to the head for years upon years before we really knew about the how serious head trauma is.
my name is katie im 20 years old i played soccer for 16 years since i was little , over the past years i had 6 concussion , after those concussion i had MRI done apperetnly they didnt find anything and everything , all testing were normal ,, but theres a cluster of granuloma on the left pretrous apex. my brain is otherwise normal.

Hopefully we can let me do discus at the end of the year...NOT A CONTACT SPORT....They are talking about taking me out of football for good. Which I understand...but I got the concussion off of punting which I NEVER do except for tht one time.
Right, I know the pressure buildup wasn't CTE, but rather the concussion symptom. My worry is that I will develop alzheimer, dementia, or a level of CTE earlier than those who did not play a sport like American football. I respectfully disagree that playing high school football will not increase your chances of incurring brain damage.

This was a routine MRI, so we thought, after a concussion. There are only three things this child cares about. 1) Football, 2) Football, and 3) Competitive target shooting. I feel so bad for him. All he has every dreamed about since he was nine was to play in the NFL. Now, how do you tell him that he won't even have a chance too?
Another symptom was a mild headache when I was tired but I do not know whether this can be attributed to the hit or to me feeling overly anxious over a possible concussion. Do you think a concussion is a possibility? Any feedback would be very welcome!
My 16 year old son was in a car wreck 5 1/2 days ago where he suffered a grade 2 moderate concussion. He was knocked unconscious for a short period of time & received a scalp laceration to the right side of his head . The CT scan discovered what the neurosurgeon described as a small thread size bleed. Later that day another CT scan was done & all signs of bleeding were gone & the blood had been absorbed. His stay in the hospital was for 3 days.
I suffered a concussion 3 months later which caused additional neurological problems and temporary seizures but those have mostly resolved. 3 years later I have hyperreflexia, spasticity, clonus, and present babinski on my right side and I'm unable to do many activities or run. I have had an MRI of my brain and cervical spine which showed no significant changes.
I used to be an A+ only student, but lately i find it impossible to study. I would sit for hours trying to study one part of the work. It would be amazing if a doctor were able to help me, and give me solutions. I am to afraid to go to one of my local doctors, because i am very afraid of the result i might get. Please help me. I also find it difficult to think intensely about a single topic...

I am curious about everyone's opinion of the sanctions imposed on the NFL coaches and players regarding "Headhunting".
Were they strict enough to deter this type of behavior in the future? Were the fines large enough to cause an NFL player to think again before trying to deliberately hurt another player?
I don't think one year suspension for a coach is enough if he is guilty of this but, I don't have all of the facts.
What do you guys think?
Does any of you follow the NFL? Here in DK it can be a little challenging because the networks ins't exactly seeing this as a multi-million possibility...

I went to a sleep study and have not heard the results yet. My question is, could this really be post concussion syndrome? does it last 3 years? my symptoms are not getting better, meaning my speech, gait, dizziness ect. Memory is bad, and getting worse. I heard you can recover from post concussion syndrome and as time goes by you get better, but I keep getting worse. I dont even want to go out of the house anymore, I used to be a social butterfly.
