Back on the 9th of June, a small Roku remote landed on my head, later on that day I was in the shower and I patted my head with the bottom of my wrist in the same area the remote landed to straighten my hair out. Before this incident, I had a fantastic memory. Since then, my short-term memory is horrible. I have also noticed and decrease in patience.
I received all of these from sports and have since pulled myself from such dangerous situations but I fear I am still dealing with the after effects of my reckless youth. After my last concussion I had extremely bad vertigo, memory loss, and headaches. They got so bad I had to get a Cat Scan because they thought my brain might be bleeding, thank god it was negative. Well I recently got in a car accident and have no clue if I did hit my head or not.
I suffered a concussion 4 months ago when I fell during a parade with my high school band. My mom took me to the ER and I was diagnosed with a concussion. I had a CT scan and nothing was out of the ordinary, and it seemed to just be a mild concussion.
4 months later, I'm still having issues. I'm a junior in high school and concentration and memory issues made me switch out of all of my honors classes into regular ones and drop both math and science completely.

Stuttering stammering unable to find the word I'm wanting to use. I have forgot lyrics to all songs. And forgotten most movies. Lord know what else. I lose my car in the parking lot. So many things. I haveuscle dpasms that jump around a nd jolt me from my sleep kust as I'm galling to sleep. And wakes me from my sleep eventually.
Headache, confusion, memory loss, dizziness, nausea vomiting, slurred speech and fatigue are common. Delayed symptoms include depression, irritability, sleep disturbances, seizures, loss of smell etc. Injury to olfactory and lingual nerves of smell and taste could be a cause or it could be that nerves are in shock. Once swelling and contusion following the fall will subside some taste and smell may return. However, when this will happen is difficult to say.

The symptoms can also be due to post trauma anxiety. To differentiate between the two you will need a MRI of the brain and a session with a counselor.

That's a big dose. I'm not sure of long term memory effects.
Its all memory long term and short term. I also loose my train of thought and struggle to finish sentences sometimes as i forget what im saying. I forget what i do with my keys, money, ect but remeber passwords for things. I struggle to remeber my schooling or my childhood. i cant remeber conversations iv had. I have been on anti depresents since i was 16 but its only been this year i have really been having trouble with my memory.
