Avatar n tn But I'm confused. If an emergency room diagnosed a stroke, they wouldn't discharge you and say call your Doctor in the morning. Plus how does he know he had several other strokes and who diagnosed them? having so many, you would need a miracle to survive.
Avatar f tn I had a car wreck January 18th this year and was diagnosed with a concussion and severe whiplash. I had an MRI done February 22nd and got the results February 25th and they found a Syrinx in my thoracic spine from T6 to T9 with 4mm being greatest in diameter. Is this from the wreck and what should I do?

Avatar f tn Ran into an article in the Journal for the American Academy of Family Practitioners published this month, telling doctors that Levothyroxine is the ONLY valid treatment for hypo and to trust the TSH. I called the Academy and was transferred to the editor of the Journal and advised him of the more current articles (that I published here) conducted and published in Europe and now published by the NIH.
Avatar f tn Has your article been published yet? I'd like very much to include it with a letter I have to send out. Physicians really eed to know the real stories here in Georgia.
365714 tn?1292199108 Let's say I want to post a journal as an article for the public to read, but I don't want people commenting on it. Or let's say I posted a well meaning article and people start hijacking it. I've seen that occur with quite a few good meaning journals and it's a shame. The same happens with photos too from time to time. I know there's the feature to be able to delete individual posts, but that requires the author to be online to monitor their journal...

Avatar f tn hi, i get a shock like pain in differnt parts of my body at random times.i suffers a very very mild concussion 6 months ago. I have been keeping a journal it hasn't helped figure anything out. I suffer from Osgood Schlatters disease, but I don’t think that has anything to do with my headaches. My doctor has run blood tests and that showed nothing.
Avatar m tn Hi - I have recently come across the following health brief on your pages which I thought was the most useful and comprehensive write up I have ever seen. It is extremely well written, factual and addresses the main issues that are confusing to people in the HIV arena. Can anyone confirm who wrote this piece, and approximately when it was written ? Many thanks http://www.medhelp.org/tags/health_page/95400/HIV-Window-Period/HIVThe-Facts?

612876 tn?1355514495 ) but if not, I can assemble it myself when I add it to the page. The minimum information required is the direct link to the abstract for the journal article. (Please include the link to the abstract even if you give me the formatted citation so I don't have to hunt it down myself, hehe.) If you wish, you may also give me some indication as to the categorization of the article (if it's about diagnosis, treatment, symptoms, and what type of dysautonomia in particular, etc.).
Avatar f tn Stress as well as diet and lifestyle choices can also add to how we feel.....so keep a journal of what you eat, and how you feel to see if you can locate a pattern. then take the journal along to your Drs to see if it can help them determine what may be going on Keep us posted on your progress and what you find out.

683664 tn?1330966324 In advance of this meeting, practice guidelines for the tx of Hep C Geno 1 have been published in the October issue of the journal Hepatology. This is a great article which compares and contrasts results of the clinical trials with both Boceprevir (VIC) and Telaprevir (INC), and addresses adverse events, lead-in, gene testing, etc. Happy reading!
Avatar f tn Below I am posting an email I wrote to the Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press, regarding a mistake they made in reporting about the HIV outbreak in Indiana today. If you agree that this should be corrected, I have provided the address for both WSJ and the AP.
644974 tn?1312758070 Are you trying to write a journal through the Journal interface or through the Tracker interface? On My MedHelp, on the Journals panel, you should see a link that says, Write a new journal entry. If you click that, you should see a form that has text boxes for Title, Journal Entry and Tags. Do you see that?
976084 tn?1270872439 I don't want to copy and paste what I wrote in my journal but if someone thinks they might want to help me can you please read it. Thank you for anyone who actually does...

559187 tn?1330782856 Hi, I just wanted you to be aware that what you could be suffering from could be a concussion. I have had the lp headache and a concussion and I can tell you they are identical in the way they hurt. I do not know if you hit your head but that isn't even necessary. If you were jerked around at all your brain still can be rattled in your skull and that is all that is required to develop a concussion.
4520583 tn?1358493740 Until I can read this, I place little stock in the findings of this article. To find the article I googled brain intestine connection. Came right up.....this all comes from my statistical background. I guess one of the things that strikes me is that it doesn't matter how much seretonin is in the gut, but how much is in the synapses of the brain cells.
