i am 19 years old and august 2009 i passed out in the shower and hit my head on the floor. ever since then i am having big pain on my temples on my forehead, and constant headaches daily. and recently on my left temple, the side i fell on, is hot to the touch, and really hurts. i have tried so many different medicines any adivce?
I have had patients with this condition. However, there is no specific treatment for post-concussion syndrome. Management usually is directed at individual symptoms. This is why it is recommended that you have regular follow-ups for proper management of your symptoms. Take care and best regards.

I'm in highschool and during soccer i got a concussion, the doctors said my brain was fine in a cat scan but ever since I have had chronic migraines and headaches for a year now. I saw a neurologist and am on amitriptyline and zolmitriptan. It has reduced my headaches from everyday to four times a week and my migraines from twice a week to once a month. i found that also pushing myself through physical exercise helps too. I still cannot attend school though and am homeschooled as a result.

The symptoms that your husband describes may be those of Post Concussion Syndrome. Post-concussion syndrome, is a set of symptoms that a person may experience for weeks, months, or occasionally years after a concussion, a mild form of traumatic brain injury. Symptoms may include headache, difficulty concentrating, irritability etc.
So when I was around 5 years old i was playing t-ball when i was smacked in the head buy a girl on the opposing team with a baseball bat. I was hit in the front of the head on the left side of my head. I didn't go unconcious or become dazed, I was removed frorm the game obviously and sent home with no medical treatment. I can still remember events before I was injured.

Oh, I don't like the sound of that. While it might be normal to vomit, it can equally be a sign that he's had a little concussion or small bleed in his brain. So, take him on over to the ER, especially if you notice he's overly sleepy, and have him checked out. It can't hurt. My brother had a hit on his head like that, he said he felt out of it for a few minutes, but then he was okay. But he is an adult.
About 2 years ago, she was hit in the head with the handle bar of a bicycle, resulting in 12 staples in her head. They did not do a ct on her but said that she didn't suffer from a concussion. Her pediatrician has said that she can suffer from side effects for a year or so. Is this true? She is having a lot of pain and pressure in the area of the scarring. I was in a bad car accident a month ago . I had a concussion and get dizzy and headache all night long exspecially when I turn side to side. because I can"t get comfortable because I hurt my right shoulder and broke my wrist too. looking for any suggestion . my name is katie im 20 years old i played soccer for 16 years since i was little , over the past years i had 6 concussion , after those concussion i had MRI done apperetnly they didnt find anything and everything , all testing were normal ,, but theres a cluster of granuloma on the left pretrous apex. my brain is otherwise normal.
the doctor told me to take Toprol.
Please consult a neurologist. The treatment is to remove the compression. You have to discuss the best treatment option with a neurologist, which can range from medication to physiotherapy to traction, cervical collars or even surgery. Alternatively you can visit a chiropractor or a physical therapist and learn some exercises which you can do to relieve the compression.
