Last year I got a concussion but I went to therapy and my eyes were misaligned but nothing like they are today. Last September I got a very bad sinus infection and went out of town for days, and noticed that I started seeing a black spot in both eyes. Those eventually turned into blind spots. Still today I get clogged ears when I wake up, headaches on my eyebrows and sometimes eye pain when I’m congested. I also have bad hyperacusis, tinnitus, and sometimes I’m dizzy.
My daughter will be 8 in May. about two years ago, she suffered a concussion when she fell on a playground, which knocked her unconcscious. She hit the back of her head on concrete. We went through the scans, and the doctors cleared her, but I started noticing sudden drastic behavior changes.
Hannah is an extremely bright, creative, athletic and sweet young lady, who did not have any of these symptoms prior to her April 2011 concussion. We live in Ohio and are trying to find the best Chiari expert in our area. We will travel if necessary. Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated.

It is abundantly clear that in some cases concussions may result in seizures. That is not a "theory". It is a medical fact. It doesn't require "discussion". But not all concussions result in a seizure. There can be varying degrees of damage depending on the severity off the blow, where the impact takes place, and from resultant swelling, and if there is a delay in seeking medical attention. A "concussion" is not a "concussion".
I am a concussion survivor. Could you get a concussion if your head stops suddenly from a fast movement?
Yesterday I was in a hurry and running and pushed the door in front of me. It stopped abruptly which caused my body to stop too. Could this cause a concussion? I'm scared because I am recovering from a concussion already. Does it make me more prone to brain injury?

Sounds like you might have a concussion. A concussion is a mild brain injury caused by a knock or blow to the head or a sudden change in motion. See a doctor just in case.

Make sure to tell the doctor about all of the workouts you're doing, to make sure you're not perpetuating the problem by doing a specific exercise. Hope you start to improve!
A doctor generally looks for focal neurological or generalized neurological symptoms that would show there is a pressure on brain somewhere. In absence of these symptoms and based on the history a diagnosis of concussion is given.
If concussion is severe, and there is underlying brain injury, then yes, even death can occur. Hope this helps! Take care!
My doctor said the same thing, it was do to the concussion and that I would be fine. I read in one of your post that your daughter was said to have Post-Concussion Syndrome after a head injury. I do not know how long ago that was but if you looked up what the doctor was talking about like I do when my kids health is involved. You might of seen that the syndrome can sometimes last over a year in some cases.
As for epilepsy, I have it.
I have a serious concussion and I have strained my trapiuses muscle... I also have osgood schlatters in one leg and I can't run with out getting dizzy due to the concussion... I really need to work out ... I have been out for a month ... Please and thank you !
I was involve in a very bad car accident 02/10 and have no memory of the actual wreck. the hospital deemed I have a severe concussion and then also diagnosed me with Post Concussion Syndrome. I am currently also experiencing back and neck problems as well as getting a collarbone checked out for a possible fracture.
My question is does coffee effect concussion and PCS recovery. And how long does recovery generally take.
Loss of consciousness isn’t required for a diagnosis of concussion or post concussion syndrome. Post concussion syndrome occurs within first 7 to 10 days and until 3 months. Symptoms are variable including dizziness, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, loss of concentration and memory, light and noise sensitivity, headache varying from a tension type to cluster headaches. You need to consult a neurologist immediately.

Look in the phone book in the white pages under your county's name, like Orange County or Red River County, and look for "Health Department" under that county government heading. It will have the street address, and a phone number in case you don't know quite where it is.
does a hit in the head followed by nausea, vertigo headache and diarrhea after 24 hours need to be examined and how serious it can be?
I got a concussion about 3 months ago at a cheer competition when a girl fell and elbowed me in the face. I didn’t get knocked unconscious but I blacked out for 3 or 4 seconds. Immediately after my performance I went to the athletic trainer who performed an assessment and asked what my symptoms were. Immediately I had a headache, I saw halos around lights, and I felt like I was in a dream state.

Hello, my name is Dylan, I am 12, and new to this website.
So, for the past few years, I haven't been feeling very well the second I get in a car. I have had this feeling ever since my concussion in 2011. My head just gets an unexplainable feeling, like my brain is just... numb? I don't get lightheaded or feel like I'm going to pass out, but I do feel like I'm going to throw up. I have done tons of research on it, but have not found anything.
He got a mild concussion in football and was out of the game for 2 weeks (this really made him nervous as his cousin had a severe concussion with lasting brain damage), soon after he healed from the concussion he got swine flu and was out of school the better part of two weeks, shortly after a return to health he got Mono and strep throat (he wasn't fatigued, but had a severe sore throat, pains,and difficulty swallowing).Now he gets scared at school.
my pull up bar fell and hit wife in head right above hair line. She has a little nausea, shes sure she has a slight concussion. She has no memeory loss. She is saying that her face is numb she can feel when she touches her face but when she doesnt touch it she has a tingling sensation should we go to an ER? Would that cause nerve damage to her whole face?
Following this incident I found when I leaned over my head become sore. I thought that I might just be suffering the effect or a minor concussion. Now it is almost 8 months later and feel my head is not any better. I am scared that I might catch something that might make me cough or sneeze or even worse which would really cause my head to become over whelmed with pain. I am on beta blockers and find my blood pressure can still rise up in the 150 range.
