Avatar n tn my son had similar head jerking after concussion 2 years ago. He also had another concussion recently w/ constant head pain. We tried chiro,PT(exercise+stretching), meds and he got worse. missed 1xmonth of school. I found a PT who combines cranial-sacral/soft tissue and other standard PT regimens(she had training for concussion injuries) and he improved w/ each visit.
Avatar f tn migraine (because it is on one side), tension headache (because it's lasted this long), TMJ-headache (because it's around your cheek and jaw area) or Trigeminal neuralgia (because it is in your face). Hope that information helps! Keep in touch! I hope that the headache goes away soon!

7205189 tn?1447794738 ve had a headache ever since. I have Chiari Malformation and have intermittent symptoms. I am wondering if hitting my head with having Chiari is worse in any way. I don't think I have a concussion, but I have a bad headache. Should I get checked out? Or just lots of rest?
Avatar f tn I suffered a concussion on Jan. 3rd and had just a bad headache,a little dizziness and a lump on the back of my head. Then a few days to a week the dizziness got alot worse, i became unsteady on my feet, developed ringing in my ears, nausea and the headache got worse. I've had an MRI and CT Scan and both were fine. Now I'm having a little problem with remembering names and other little things, plus I've noticed that loud noises and bright lights seem to bother me too.
Avatar m tn I took a blow to the back of my head 3 days ago, it was pretty hard but I did not lose consciousness or get dizzy. My vision has been fine also. I do have a headache now for three days. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn Usually, such headaches and dizziness may result due to post-concussion syndrome and may last for weeks or months after the injury that caused from the injury of a fall, vehicle accident, or sports injury. In addition, patient may experience either migraine type or tension type headache. For treatment approach, first it is essential to get (MRI) done to detect the brain abnormalities after that injury.
Avatar f tn Vomiting/nausea, light sensitivity, sensitivity to noise, confusion/altered mental state, headache, fatigue.... All are concussion symptoms. If he was hit twice he needs to see a Dr.
Avatar m tn and small cut where I hit it. I got a headache and then very nauseated about 20 minutes later. The next day at work I was almost finished with my shift and all the sudden I got so dizzy I couldn't walk out of work without holding on to the wall. The third day when I was at home, I woke up, I still had a headache and was dizzy all day and just felt blah so I went to my dr. that day. He did a neuro exam and during this exam he made me walk across the room.
Avatar n tn when some one suffers from concussion at what stage shold they be taken by ambulance to hospital. Does that happen if the person has a long period of unconsciousness or just with any unconscoussness? if when they wake up they have a dazed and confused look on their face and then when they try to stand up they loos there balance should they be called and ambulance and be taken to hospital. At what point should a ct scan be done?
Avatar n tn The headache is mostly where I hit my head. While I was driving I experienced a tingling sensation through both of my arms and hands and felt weak.
Avatar m tn Alright so let me start off by saying i know how ridiculous this sounds but I need to be sure. Im 18.Today was a normal morning, I went to the my couch and kinda jumped down into it. I landed on my butt with my body toward the tv. when i landed though i felt a sort of "thump" on the top of my head when i landed almost as if my brain hit the top of my skull. I wouldn't say I have a headache like getting your bell rung, but lets just say i felt a lot better before I sat down.
Avatar n tn I do not have any sort of cognitive issues though. Could this be a concussion? I do get migraines, and this headache does feel a bit like a migraine, but I am worried because I did hit my head. Should I be concerned? I do not feel awful right now, other than the headache. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Friday morning, I was getting ready to take a shower. Due to my clumsy nature, I ran into the door frame on the left side (my left) of my head. It hurt for a few seconds, but afterward, I was fine and jumped into the shower. I didn't pass out, I wasn't dizzy, no nausea, etc. I've looked up symptoms of concussions quite a few times as I am a big worrier, and the only one I'm really experiencing is a headache, although it isn't severe.
Avatar f tn Do you think he had a concussion/minor traumatic brain damage? Can this kind of impact be enough to cause concussion? Thanks for reading!
Avatar m tn This can be due to primary headaches such as tension headache which usually presents with pressure or viselike headache. Healing or recovering from a concussion takes time and may take weeks or even months. Headaches, dizziness, irritability and concentration problems may be observed.
Avatar n tn I fell and hit my left shoulder and back on a stair railing last week. It irritated nerves on my left and right sides. I don't remember hitting my head, but I've had a headache pretty much constantly since. Headache is mostly right side on front of head. I've also been feeling spacy, dizzy, and nauseous since. I don't have any bruise like pain at the back of my head. It might be a sinus infection, but it all started the day after I hit my shoulder, so I'm not sure?
Avatar n tn I think you may have a concussion. Symptoms are varied and can be delayed from hours to days after the injury. 1. headache. 2. loss of consciousness. 3. dizziness 4. Ringing in ears. 5. nausea or vomiting. 6. slurred speech. 7. fatigue You have some of these symptoms. I would go back and see your doctor. Have someone else drive you in.
Avatar f tn I play softball in college and about 3 weeks ago i was hit in the head with a bat right above my left ear. My coach gave me a concussion test and my head was hurting pretty bad throughout the day. The next day it wasnt bothering me too bad so I didnt go to the doctor to see if i did have a concussion. Well ever since that weekend, i have pressure headaches on the right side of my head.
Avatar m tn A concussion can last for weeks after the head injury. The symptoms too vary from person to person. Headache, confusion, memory loss, dizziness, nausea vomiting, slurred speech and fatigue are common. Delayed symptoms include depression, irritability, sleep disturbances, seizures, loss of smell etc. A doctor generally looks for focal neurological or generalized neurological symptoms that would show there is a pressure on brain somewhere.
435918 tn?1204737341 I was involved in a car accident exactly 3 weeks ago. I was hit HARD from behind, then my car ran into the vehicle in front of me. I was diagnosed with cervical strain, but followed up with my primary MD because my head hurt so bad I could not hold it up. He ordered a CT of my head which came back normal, as well as giving me a prescription of Percocet.
Avatar m tn I'm 17. I'll say it right out, I masturbate. My problem is that 3 days ago, my neck, about level with the jawline if you take your fingers and follow the invisible line from the jawbone to the spine, from that line to the crown of my head, and all the way inward to about 3" from my eyes, becomes the biggest site of pain I've ever experienced before in my life. And the headache lasts roughly four hours. The pain is excruciating, like a concussion.
Avatar f tn I suffered a concussion in sept. 2012 maybe? Then again in April of 2013. Im still suffering from memory loss, focus and concentration issues, attention problems, and a constant headache. How long should or could this last?? If relevant, I'm 38.
