I`ve suffered from three concussion over the spand of a few months. The first two within week of each other and 2 months after a third. The last one was in August.
Since then I have been very cautious to not hit my head but lets face it it`s nearly impossible. Kids will soft balls around and balls outside. They will flail their arms and hit your head or just nick you. Someone will bump into you and make you fall back. YOu will pull on something and it will make you jolt.
Bear in mind, the schools definition of autsm is not as specific as the definition a psychologist or psychiatrist uses. Psychologists and psychiatrists use the definition given by the DSM-IV-TR. OTOH, schools use the definition given by federal IDEA law.
The IDEA definition is more general. The DSM has very specific criteria set. When I look at it it it's like ordering the two entree lunch special from Wong's Wok.

Well this is likely the end of my life, something truly tragic has happened. Was walking down the street, bent down to throw something in the trash, lifted my body back up and smashed my head under a street sign. It made a huge sound and a woman passing by even said a loud ‘oof’ Which basically confirms the severity of the impact.
I was involve in a very bad car accident 02/10 and have no memory of the actual wreck. the hospital deemed I have a severe concussion and then also diagnosed me with Post Concussion Syndrome. I am currently also experiencing back and neck problems as well as getting a collarbone checked out for a possible fracture.
My question is does coffee effect concussion and PCS recovery. And how long does recovery generally take.
I have a serious concussion and I have strained my trapiuses muscle... I also have osgood schlatters in one leg and I can't run with out getting dizzy due to the concussion... I really need to work out ... I have been out for a month ... Please and thank you !
Loss of consciousness isn’t required for a diagnosis of concussion or post concussion syndrome. Post concussion syndrome occurs within first 7 to 10 days and until 3 months. Symptoms are variable including dizziness, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, loss of concentration and memory, light and noise sensitivity, headache varying from a tension type to cluster headaches. You need to consult a neurologist immediately.

Yesterday I was in a hurry and running and pushed the door in front of me. It stopped abruptly which caused my body to stop too. Could this cause a concussion? I'm scared because I am recovering from a concussion already. Does it make me more prone to brain injury?

Guess what guys.! I got a concussion. ): Done with football for the season and sports for the whole YEAR!!! Hopefully we can let me do discus at the end of the year...NOT A CONTACT SPORT....They are talking about taking me out of football for good. Which I understand...but I got the concussion off of punting which I NEVER do except for tht one time.
I got a concussion about 3 months ago at a cheer competition when a girl fell and elbowed me in the face. I didn’t get knocked unconscious but I blacked out for 3 or 4 seconds. Immediately after my performance I went to the athletic trainer who performed an assessment and asked what my symptoms were. Immediately I had a headache, I saw halos around lights, and I felt like I was in a dream state.
If he has just done this then I would tell you take him to the ER to make sure he is okay .as he is having some symptoms of possible concussion do not delay ...good luck let us know how he is doing .
Had a concussion several weeks ago with instant headache & nausea which have gotten worse. Already had 2 CT scans without contrast, showing they were normal. The headaches and nausea are pretty bad daily, have gotten worse since the concussion.
I'm now scheduled for an MRI scan, should I do it with or without contrast. Have read so many negative things about getting it with the contrast.
I had a metal iron shelf fall on my head at work 4 months ago, got a concussion and ended up with post traumatic concussion syndrome. He needs to go to the doctor!!!!! He needs to have a CT or MRI to check for headbleeding then he needs to see a neurologist and let them run test!!!!! It's so important. They told me if I hit my head again I'll have permanent damage.
Of course there are the kids helping themselves to their parent(s) meds ... and finally, the infamous physicians that over prescribe to their famous Hollywood clientel. They all make it miserable for the rest of us legitimate pain patients. Unfortunately, our doctors and the hospitals and clinics that employ them are watching the same news that we are. They are being 'squeezed' by the powers that be, to prescribe less narcotics.
Ok so about 7-8 months ago I suffered a concussion and was off work for quite a time I am getting back to it now.
My question is can suffering a concussion cause depression and suicidal thoughts as well as self harm? Basically when I was a teenager I was suicidal and a cutter and haven't done anything like that since, until I got the concussion and a few months into the treatment etc I started cutting again and feeling suicidal.
