Avatar f tn A few questions come to mind to help you through this process: 1) Do you have access to the car to look at the dashboard in front of where you were sitting. You might be able to ID any indentations. 2) Have you been seen by any medical professional? 3) Was this a reportable accident and any police report? 4) Does the Driver of either vehicle have insurance? You should go immediately to a nearby ER and be examined by a Doctor and have any test or imaging they recommend.
Avatar f tn Sorry I don't have any specific information, but it seems to me from your description your dog is making progress. If the dog and eat/drink and manage its toilet needs it seems reasonable to give it more time and not to push too hard on it for performance. Rest may be the best cure at this point. Was concussion mentioned, or is that included in the diagnosis Trauma? You may gain some useful information doing a web search on concussion in dogs...or similar.
Avatar n tn Hello, Without being able to review your ECG/EKG (electrocardiogram) to confirm the description, depending of the age of the patient the final conclusion could be normal or sinus tachycardia. This is because the resting heart rate depends on the age (infants have higher rates). Sinus tachycardia means that the heart's own pacemaker is making the heart beat faster than normal (by definition >100 beats per minute).
Avatar n tn The thing that would fit this description closes is a pterygium..
1495634 tn?1291391579 If you've had a period where you didn't have any symptoms for 8 months, that's great. That's the classic definition of relapsing-remitting MS. A flare is any onset of symptoms that lasts for longer than 24 hours. Remission is the improvement of symptoms. If you had a symptom for only a few hours, that doesn't count as a relapse. The description of flares and remissions is deceptive.
580983 tn?1219772222 The definition of "Infertile" is a couple's inability to conceive after 12mos of timed intercourse. (6mos if over 35) Yes, you definitely fit the description. Have you seen an RE?
Avatar n tn The last time I woke up several minutes later, choking on vomit and lying in a large pool of blood with a concussion, broken nose and smashed face. I started on my knees and ended up across the room. This has to be more than vasovagal syncope. It has become a life threatening condition. I have never fainted otherwise. The vomiting is simply viral or mild food poisoning and I'm usually not that sick. Not even light headed before it happens.
Avatar m tn :-) So Sorry, but I can't resist!!! My eldest son is a bit of a goof ball at times. He'll do anything to get me to laugh. Anyway, he has equally goofy taste in TV shows, no blood gore or other nonsense, just plain goofy. So he calls me into the room just now and says "Daddy, you have to watch this..." I looked and seen the show and said No, I don't. He said "Yes, you DO! This is about something you get all the time." So I watched for him...
233622 tn?1279334905 I always do a google search on the words defined in my MRI reports and usually come up with a hit that gives a better definition. Have you tried that yet?
Avatar m tn I was involve in a very bad car accident 02/10 and have no memory of the actual wreck. the hospital deemed I have a severe concussion and then also diagnosed me with Post Concussion Syndrome. I am currently also experiencing back and neck problems as well as getting a collarbone checked out for a possible fracture. My question is does coffee effect concussion and PCS recovery. And how long does recovery generally take.
Avatar n tn I have a serious concussion and I have strained my trapiuses muscle... I also have osgood schlatters in one leg and I can't run with out getting dizzy due to the concussion... I really need to work out ... I have been out for a month ... Please and thank you !
Avatar f tn Loss of consciousness isn’t required for a diagnosis of concussion or post concussion syndrome. Post concussion syndrome occurs within first 7 to 10 days and until 3 months. Symptoms are variable including dizziness, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, loss of concentration and memory, light and noise sensitivity, headache varying from a tension type to cluster headaches. You need to consult a neurologist immediately.
Avatar f tn I am a concussion survivor. Could you get a concussion if your head stops suddenly from a fast movement? Yesterday I was in a hurry and running and pushed the door in front of me. It stopped abruptly which caused my body to stop too. Could this cause a concussion? I'm scared because I am recovering from a concussion already. Does it make me more prone to brain injury? Please, help me!
