Avatar f tn The next night I woke up with another horrible nauseous feeling, but did not vomit. The same with the night after that, and even last night. I doubt it's the flu, because usually it's just a 24 hour bug. And I have also been experiencing cramping with the nausea, as if I were to get my period (which is supposed to be due this coming Friday, December 14th) and my ovulation was the 29th of November through the 4th of December.....
1983058 tn?1527442254 We got him there within 2 hours and it was determined that he suffered a concussion. When it first happened, he did lose Consciousness for approximately one minute or so. On the way to to hospital he did regain Consciousness and was moving all of his extremities. He never had a seizure and did respond to his name. He then began to vomit and had respirations that were rapid and a bit labored. The doctor determined by x-ray that he did aspirate.
Avatar f tn So a bit over a month ago, I got a pretty severe concussion and ended up in the hospital. I could constantly hear my brain whirring, and throwing up two times a day. I also messed up and partied too hard with the concussion andddon't know if I took anything or what it would've been , and everything was hazy for days.
Avatar f tn I explained the numbness in my feet and headache and exhaustion and was diagnosed with a concussion. Since going home from the er my symptoms are not improving. I sleep all the time and my headache is getting worse and not responding to meds. My vision keeps getting blurry even going completely black and my feet still have numbness that isn't going away. I'm very dizzy and feel flushed. Upon looking into the mirror I noticed I'm extremely pale.
Avatar m tn Thanks for the reassurance! I keep reading online about the "talk and die" syndrome and that makes me worry and makes me feel like I should push for a CT scan. Am I being irrational? Thank you!
Avatar n tn The last time I woke up several minutes later, choking on vomit and lying in a large pool of blood with a concussion, broken nose and smashed face. I started on my knees and ended up across the room. This has to be more than vasovagal syncope. It has become a life threatening condition. I have never fainted otherwise. The vomiting is simply viral or mild food poisoning and I'm usually not that sick. Not even light headed before it happens.
Avatar m tn I was involve in a very bad car accident 02/10 and have no memory of the actual wreck. the hospital deemed I have a severe concussion and then also diagnosed me with Post Concussion Syndrome. I am currently also experiencing back and neck problems as well as getting a collarbone checked out for a possible fracture. My question is does coffee effect concussion and PCS recovery. And how long does recovery generally take.
Avatar f tn I would definitely go to get an exam immediately . You could have a clot form inside your head, could have a bleed inside , or a concussion. So many things. If you vomit that's also a sign of something going on . I mean it's too tricky to know but a doctor would know. My brother had a closed head injury and the day after he went into a coma from a small bleed from a blood vessel that ruptured. They fixed it with surgery but he was in coma for a month..
Avatar f tn m on the bathroom floor biting my tongue and vomit right next to me. It took me a second to adjust and realize where I was, when I was finally able to i threw my self in adjustable cold shower. now I am feeling better but just wondering if any one else has experienced this? If this is normal?
Avatar m tn Oh, I don't like the sound of that. While it might be normal to vomit, it can equally be a sign that he's had a little concussion or small bleed in his brain. So, take him on over to the ER, especially if you notice he's overly sleepy, and have him checked out. It can't hurt. My brother had a hit on his head like that, he said he felt out of it for a few minutes, but then he was okay. But he is an adult.
Avatar f tn I know the symptoms I have are a part of the concussion but they are bad (bec I already have the chiari symptoms) and it has been since Friday and I still feel HORRIBLE! I see a chiari specialist at the end of the month but in the mean time could this hitting my head on the wall possibly made things worse? (I did not have a ct for the concussion, the dr. just diagnosed me by my symptoms and what happened).
Avatar m tn s been a year since his last concussion and he is making slow progress, but progress. Still has mood swings, ADD, and sleeplessness, but has made nice gains. He went on a flight to Scottland to visit a friend and seemed fine while in Scottland, but seemed to have regressed in symptoms when he returned home. Mood swings returned significantly and his choices and behaviors reflect significant impairment of executive function ability.
Avatar f tn At times a subdural hematoma develops slowly and may be missed on the first MRI. Also concussion can cause persisting headaches and should be allowed to slowly subside before active sports are considered. Injury to neck, to jaw bone, and even eyes should be considered. Get his eye sight also checked. May be the headaches are because he needs spectacles. -Take care!
Avatar f tn The impact of the ball caused the concussion, and the shape of his pupil is now oval. I took him to a pediatric opthamologist who did a thorough exam. He said there is no lasting damage other than the shape of the pupil, but he needed glasses. When he "recovered" from the concussion three weeks later, he tried to go back to baseball but could no longer judge the speed and distance of the ball. He had to quit. He has been moody and pesting ever since the concussion.
Avatar m tn m, of course, panicky because of the possibility of a mild concussion and its possible side effects, along with th ehelp of alcohol and poor sleep the first days of the injury -while I should be taking care to rest and all. I feel just a weight sensation and mild pain that comes and goes around the vicinity of the impact, maybe a bit of pain on the opposite side sometimes, but I don't even need acetaminophen. The impact was on the upper-back let side of the head. Could I have a problem?
Avatar m tn ) but i do take 12 hour fast acting gravol which helps releave the symptoms a bit, sometimes i do still vomit and i still have a (gut rot) feeling threw out the day. i havent started any medications or changed my diet prior to these symptoms. ( i try to avoid greasy, spicy foods and alcohol.as recommended) ive had blood work which came up fine and an ultra sound that im waiting to hear the results. . i also have been burping alot lately. and have a loss of appetite for a few weeks now.
Avatar m tn You need to see a dr and i have read about this stuff you may have seriouse brain damage and a fractured spine go and see a dr as soon as possable
Avatar f tn Each brain injury is unique and try to get some one who can listen to you and may be a concussion specialist if you can. I am even considering Stem Cell Therapy for which I have to travel outside U.S.A. Keep me posted if you can.
Avatar f tn Probably you had a concussion and having Post Concussion effects. You can consult a Neuro-Otologist and Neurologist and see if you have any inner ear issues. Reason for dizziness can be very many. Get an MRI done to be safe.
Avatar f tn The C1 was fractured in three places and he had a severe concussion concussion. Since then he’s had excessive saliva resulting in excessive coughing. He’s coughing several times a minute. Is there any connection between brain trauma and excessive saliva?
Avatar m tn m 31 male, until one year back I had little bit low blood pressure due to regular exercising. For the past 3 days and out of the blue I feel dizzy, and feeling to vomit ( low blood pressure) although I'm not exercising since few months now. It is really weirded as I it's the first time to happen and on daily basis for the past 3 days, feeling the same symptoms, rest for couple of hrs, then I'm fine. Go to work next day , feeling okay, then it happens in the after noon.
Avatar m tn My concussion occurred 37 days ago when I slipped and fell backwards hitting the back of my head on a turf surface. In terms of the concussion recovery, I've been working with a concussion therapist to employ the practices of slowly getting back into activities without provoking symptoms. Unfortunately, I haven't seen much progress and may even have my symptoms come on earlier. I believe that this is related to sleep and neck issues that began about 18-20 days into the recovery.
Avatar m tn A doctor generally looks for focal neurological or generalized neurological symptoms that would show there is a pressure on brain somewhere. In absence of these symptoms and based on the history a diagnosis of concussion is given. If concussion is severe, and there is underlying brain injury, then yes, even death can occur. Hope this helps! Take care!
Avatar f tn This then can be checked for the full year if there is any sort of injury to see if it is a concussion. Otherwise, you have to look for symptoms. This article you can copy and paste has a lot of info related to concussions. We looked for the signs after my son took a big head splitter in a soccer game and was put under concussion watch. https://my.clevelandclinic.
Avatar f tn re supposed to take it easy after a concussion and orgasm raises your BP and all. Most of my symptoms of the concussion have gone away, aside from double vision. Thoughts?
