concussion

Avatar m tn BTW, if you have access to see an "Osteopath" doctor, do so ASAP. They can do a number of gentle musculoskeletal techniques like cranial-sacral which restores healthy flow of CSF up/down spine & around brain. Also, it's billed as a dr. appointment & doesn't take away from limited therapy visits allowed.
Avatar m tn I'm currently suffering from post concussion syndrome following a bad MVA last June. As a result of the accident I've experienced blurred/double vision and convergence issues. I recently saw a neurological ophthalmologist who prescribed me lenses with a prism. Should the effects of the prism be felt immediate or does it take time for my eyes to adjust? I've had the glasses for 3 days now and not only have they not helped, but I feel like my vision has worsened.
Avatar m tn If you develop nausea, vomiting, excess sleep, severe headache, difficulty in walking and balance, tremors, seizures, vision problems, ringing in ears etc then consult a doctor immediately. These symptoms develop if there is a brain injury or bleed. Otherwise this pressure will go in a few days. However, it is important to get a medical evaluation. So please consult your doctor once. Take care!
Avatar f tn re supposed to take it easy after a concussion and orgasm raises your BP and all. Most of my symptoms of the concussion have gone away, aside from double vision. Thoughts?
Avatar f tn I have gone on one jog since, and two days ago, I went to a trampoline park with my kid and had no issues just mildly jumping around with him. The pain and vision are pretty constant and aren’t getting worse or better. I have not had any vomiting, dizziness, loss of consciousness, complete loss of vision, vertigo etc.
Avatar f tn Light sensitivity, trouble focusing at near, difficulty concentrating, blurred vision are part of the post concussion syndrome. Not every person has every symptom and not every clears at the same rate. If you need glasses for distance generally you are myopic or nearsighted. That is not due to concussion. You should be seen by an Eye MD ophthalmologist for a medical eye exam.
Avatar n tn Anyway, I hit the left side of my head on the door before the side air bags went off and suffered from a blow to the head and a slight concussion. Since that accident, I have had severe eye issues including pain behind my left eye, headaches that leave me irritable everyday, sensitivity to light, occasional blurred vision and spots. I had gone to my Opthalmolgists who diagnosed me with Optic-neuritis.

Avatar m tn t hard, but enough to knock my head back a bit, but certainly not enough to knock me out. After a few seconds I started getting blurred vision and then a flash of images began passing before me. I was still conscious but almost out. After about 30 seconds I regained my sight and the images stopped, but I still had a hard time recognizing who was in front of me. After about five minutes I was fine, just a headache. I didn't think much more about it until last week.
Avatar n tn Dear knothome, Amblyopia is a disease in which vision is impaired, the retina appears normal and the vision is not corrected by glasses or contact lenses. I would recommend an examination by an eyeMD or if you think may be related to the concussion, I would recommend a neuro-ophthalmologist. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
Avatar f tn I noticed i couldn’t hear anything, i could see my roommate talking and i knew i was screaming but i couldn’t hear anything for about 5-7 seconds. And my vision was in black and white for about 2 seconds. My roommate said my eyes went wavy, not rolled to back of my head, and then i fell sideways and hit my head on our dishwasher. Dishwasher has a dent. So, since this incendient weird things have accrued.
Avatar f tn Do you think he had a concussion/minor traumatic brain damage? Can this kind of impact be enough to cause concussion? Thanks for reading!
Avatar m tn I hit the middle, right side of my forehead at work and ended up with a " goose egg " and small cut where I hit it. I got a headache and then very nauseated about 20 minutes later. The next day at work I was almost finished with my shift and all the sudden I got so dizzy I couldn't walk out of work without holding on to the wall. The third day when I was at home, I woke up, I still had a headache and was dizzy all day and just felt blah so I went to my dr. that day.
Avatar n tn I do not have any sort of cognitive issues though. Could this be a concussion? I do get migraines, and this headache does feel a bit like a migraine, but I am worried because I did hit my head. Should I be concerned? I do not feel awful right now, other than the headache. Thanks!
Avatar m tn Hi and welcome, Q: "Do you think this is MS?" A: The likelihood that what you are experiencing is a neurological condition like MS is very unlikely if your brain MRI wasn't abnormal and the types of symptoms experienced are not usually suggestive-consistent. To be honest you might be inadvertently putting different medical situations together when you wouldn't if not for you already dealing with the other issues.

Avatar n tn 45 days Ago I was in a motorcycle incident where I impacted a tree and a house, the initial impact at 50mph, breaking my left foot in two places, compression fractures of the left tibia and femur, a compound fracture of the index metacarpal (exposing it) on the right hand, a broken left clavical, 2 cracked ribs (left side), broken shoulder (forget what to be honest), torn MCL and ACL on left leg, torn bicep on right arm, and I was knocked unconscious for at least a minute and a half and suffer
Avatar m tn My daughter has hit her eye and we are worried about a concussion.
Avatar f tn t due to the concussion but something found because of the concussion causing you to get diagnostic testing done. But I would get a 2d opinion unless the near-surgeon and the testing saw something urgent. A lot can be wrong without symptoms.
Avatar n tn Are you having any vision changing, i.e., blurry vision, double vision? Have you taken any medications? If so, you need to stay away from Mortin, Naproxen, Aleve, Advil, ibuprofen. You need to take like Tylenol or acetaminophen. I think you need to go to the ER (they have to provide care no matter then situation).
Avatar f tn Hi guys! I have had a variety of problems with my vision over the last month. Decreased vision(mainly at night or in dimmer rooms), sensitivity to really bright lights and periodic blurriness. I also woke up one morning with an ocular migraine aura( went awat after 10 mins). I get pain in my eyes and above them as well. I also have had a headache daily for the last month. The headaches vary in severity and are typically on my forehead area and on one side of my head.
Avatar f tn Pressure headache worsened after activity and as days progressed. On and off nausea. On day 6 was sent to ER from work. concussion diagnosed and rest prescribed. Over next few days felt recurring waves of above symptoms, a change in my vision( felt that my left eye had moved , although it has not.. but vision in it has diminished) , waves of sounds in left ear and appeared to others to squint. Experience unsteadiness and a complete body tremor a couple of times when tired.
