People have told me the xanax will kill the stimulant high, some others have said the stimulant will put you in withdrawal...
I'm not sure if Concerta is working for me? I'm a 20 year old female and I was recently diagnosed with ADD. I was prescribed with 18mg of Concerta, once every morning. I didn't feel particularly focused, but I suppose less distracted than usual. I felt very calm and relaxed on the first day. But since the first day, I don't notice any difference at all.
My 9 yr. old little girl has been on 18Mg of Concerta, with some success. The Dr. prescribed 5 mg. of aderall along with the Concerta, that has also had proven results for us. The Dr. now says to increase the Aderall to 10mg. so we did that today. She is now on 18mg of Concerta and 10mg of Aderall. What can we expect from this increase and is this combination to high of a doseafge for a 70 puond 9 yr. old.

Lately, in the evenings, when i am reading,or focusing on computer screens, my eyes feel like they are vibrating, and my vision begins to shake. I am making an appointment with my doctor. But it might take time to get in. What is happening?

I was taking Lamictal 100mg,Abilify do not remember how much and 18mg a day of concerta a few years ago and I found that when it was my time to take te abilify I was so tired, so my Dr. told me to take it at night before I went to bed and then I noticed weight gain from it and I stopped taking the meds all togther and lost the weight but felt horrible mentally and emotionally, so 6monts ago, I went back to the DR.

My doctor started me on 18mg, and now I take 32mg in the morning and 18mg int he early afternoon, because i was experiencing a "come down" period at night. At first, it was great, I started reading again and was doing well at work and school. Progressively, I began to withdraw from social situations, I felt nervous and anxious. I cut many people out of my life because I couldnt handle their presence. I barely ever go out, and I have severe anxiety and paranoia.
Is there anyway to reduce this while taking adderall, and what could it be caused by? I was then switched to 18mg Concerta ER and I still get the same side-effects but they are about 85% less severe and last alot shorter 1-2 days max, but doesnt even work for me. Maybe amphetamines are too "strong" for me?
I diagnosed with ADD and was prescribed Adderall 20mg XR when I was about 22 years old, and I didn't have a problem at all except slightly dry mouth.

My son has been taking Concerta xl 36mg for over a year now during school term for ADHD with no symptom until recently. He now grunt or groan and has involuntary spasm. I was prescribed Concerta 18mg by a psychiatrist. I am currently studying for the bar exam and have been taking one pill everyday (since May 17th). The bar exam is on July 24th-26th, 2017. I have never taken Concerta everyday for this long before, and I know that daily use is not encouraged. However, I feel that taking it daily would allow me to prepare for the exam to the best of my ability.
diagnosed a few days ago with ADD(no hyperactivity) amongst other things and am taking concerta...36 mg 1 to 2 times a day...seems to be a life saver so far but am uninsured, just getting back on my feet after a nasty divorce and losing everything but my children (Thank God). My 14 year old son was just put on concerta 18mg about 3 weeks ago. We had to go to the ER today b/c he hurt his foot at a basketball tournament.While there they decided to do blood work. Doc came back and said his liver enzymes were elevated 2x of what they should be. Could this be b/c of meds? His sister has an immune disorder so she always has elevated liver enzymes. I am a bit nervous. If it is caused by meds can they level out with time?

My son just turned 10 and he was diagnosed with add/odd and his therapist has mentioned having him put on mood stabilizing medicine, so we tried him on respridal,along with his concerta,which that has helped him to focus more. The respidal made him more angry and he had more outbursts. Stopped that,but now at a loss as what to try. Any parents been through ODD with a child.....need help not enjoying him at all.
We cannot leave the house in the evening AT ALL! His doctor recently switched him to concerta 18mg and he takes one in the morning. After about a week on it we have concluded that it doesn't work. You can't even tell that he took it. He is wild, defiant, and prone to melt downs and violent outbursts all day long. We are now trying to figure out what to do next. Should we try a different time release med or go back to Ritilan and deal with the rebound?
My 8 year old has ADD and is taking 36mg of concerta, it's helping with his attention problem but he can't fall asleep untill late at night which is driving us crazy! School will be starting again and i worry how difficult it will be for him to start his day. Does anyone know of a natural product for kids to help with sleep. Or anything else we could do!!
old daughter has the similar concentration issues, excessive energy, talks non-stop, is ALWAYS hungry and takes 18mg of Concerta during the school year to help her stay focused. She too has a problem falling asleep. I was giving her 10mg of melatonan every night to help her fall asleep. It did not work. With the school yr. starting soon, I was hoping to get these issues resovled before it started.
My doctor left it to my discretion to continue taking the smallest dose of concerta (18mg) if the withdrawal symptoms were too difficult. The problem is that the medication does not make me feel any better, I become irritable and, more importantly, I get chest pains. I had to go to emergency because of that. That is why I don't want to begin taking the drug again. My doctor thinks we may try something else to counteract the fatigue side effects of Paxil, once I concerta is out of my system.
So the first time I went there the PDoc said its sounds like adhd. He gave me concerta 18mg for a month. I didnt see much of a difference but did realize that i do focus a bit easier. But realy not much. Then after a month he put me on 27mg concerta. I didn't feel a very big difference but did realise that I was more focussed and felt more tired at night and got more sleep. So after that month the concerta dosage stayed the same but the pdoc gave me 25mg lamictal with it.
For the past 3 months i have had anxiety issues. I had one panic attack that scared me half to death because i thought i was dying. I spend the next two days thinking i was going to die of a heart attack. After two days of being paranoid i went to the emergency room and told the doctor what had happened. I was fine and sent home later that day. The constant worry for those two days had sent me into a state of depersonalization/derealization.
