We took her off now and its been about 4 days, they seem to have gone away except once in away in awhile I see one but mostly 3\4 or more are gone. So I would like to know if they were becuse of the concerta and not touretts.

It really depends what his needs are. If he is still in school and needs the medication to concentrate - that's one possibility. If he is no longer in school or in a job where the need for concentration is not that important - that's another possibility. And there is a range of possibilities inbetween - everyone is different.

I started taking concerta 8 months ago and it has made ia great change in the fear I USED to have speaking in front of people . I till stutter but not near as often when speaking in front of adults .

s harder than anyone else in her class.Our daughter has been on concerta 36mg now for 3months, it has made a difference, she is talking better, obviously the medication is helping her thinking, DOWN is she can't get to sleep at night, did try a lower dose of Concerta first but didn't help much, the 36mg dose is what she needs, we give her melatonin to help her sleep at night, (natural medication for sleep), the melatonin helps but still hard for her to get off to sleep.

I usually take concerta 15 mg every few days, mostly every day lately. Today I took 90 mg and am feeling insanely sick several hours later. I felt better about an hour after but now it feels like it's getting even worse than before. Extreme anxiety, shaking, stomach pains, nausea, headache, weak, can't even stand up without feeing like I'm going to pass out, plus I'm exhausted but I cant even rest my eyes.

I can see being on V and perhaps adderall in the late after noon. Or concerta and ritalin in the late afternoon. Since the Concerta/ritalin are the same type of meds. Same thing for Vyvannse and Adderall. Point being, why was the V not working for you? What symptoms did you have. I would think that the two could have been over dosing you. Did you ever try just V alone?

One other thought is that 36mgs of concerta is a load to take the first time. I have seen posts by other adults (mainly grad students) that take a very small dose as needed for tests, etc. I am not advocating the use of meds at all, but it sounds like you got some bad initial advice (along with the bad vibes). Definitely talk with your doc. However, if he has been on Concerta for a while - the meds may not be the trigger. So do think about when the headaches occur. It could be the meds or allergies or even stress. And each one of those things requires a different response. How old is he?

now hes in 1st grade in acontained class the last 5 months have been hell for me.hes been going through physical agressive behavior in school so bad that they are making me look at diffrent schools next week because he has been suspended due to his behavior. he just started concerta the last 5 days but iv been through about a handfull of different med including bipolar medication. hes very sorry for hes behavior and will ask me mom why am i bad i wanna be good.

my psychiatrist was very dubious to put me on ADD medication as im an ex crystal meth addict. obvious reasons. ive been clean for 8 years now and have been on concerta for almost a year. but i am bipolar and have very bad anxiety. concerta works very well for my ADD but not for my anxiety, is there a better way to get the best of both worlds?

My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.

As far as I know, the only two are intuniv and concerta. They use different formulations. No clue which is better. I think it probably depends on the individual. Both do take a while to take effect (compared to a stimulant). If you google them, you will be able to see lots of anecdotal posts on how it worked for that poster or their children. I have been going to the same psychiatrist for over 5 years and have been recently given Concerta three months ago. During this time, the Concerta dose moved up 3 times and was given a new script. Some of these scripts were turned in during the same month.The doctor added on ritalin on a separate script one month. I have turned in these prescriptions mostly to the same pharmacy, but when at Walmart I have turned them in there.

The bar exam is on July 24th-26th, 2017. I have never taken Concerta everyday for this long before, and I know that daily use is not encouraged. However, I feel that taking it daily would allow me to prepare for the exam to the best of my ability. The amount of information I need to learn is substantial, as is the difference in my ability to study for long hours on and off the medicine.

I was wondering if any one where ever told they or there child was ADD or ADHD . When in fact they had Seizures witch was causing them to look like they have ADD OR ADHD. And where they giving drugs for the ADHD and ADD .Because I know there has to be many people out there that where treated for the wrong thing.And that when some one has Seizures it can look like they have ADD AND ADHD and even Bipolar.

hyper, not hyper, Temp always below normal and pulse slow or high with out a lot of movement. She was very under weight but the Concerta keep her from eating. But she was hypothriodism. More and More kids and adults are getting it. Lot of people with depression may have thyriod problems. Hope this helps.

Whilst taking the meds, I noticed that the veins in my arms, hands, stomach and along the shaft of my penis expanded in size. I also had increases in bp to about 160/70. Since stopping the veins are still more prominent than they were before. I have less desire to have sex. I have an enlarged varicocele (which became larger after ritalin/concerta). Tried ritalin (normal), ritalin SR, Concerta and amphetamine. Concerta gave me something but felt something missing, normal ritalin was terrible, OD and came into "cocain waves" (very high, and straight to the bottom), amph gave me more but I didn´t eat, and felt a bit anxious, ritalin SR was, and is my favourite, works as a charm.
