concerta

Avatar f tn It may well be that you are over dosed. One way to tell, besides the side effects you are feeling is that Concerta should last for about 8 hours. If it is lasting much longer - then pretty good sign that you are taking too much. You definitely need to talk to your doctor and let him/her know what is going on! And since you are taking it on an as needed basis, you might want to look into the standard Ritalin which only lasts 4 hours max and comes in many more dose sizes.

Avatar m tn These are typical side effects froom withdrawls of that type of medication (amphetamine, methylphetamine) or stimulants. If a patient is used to being on a stimulant drug for some time, withdrawing that drug would cause a general slowing down of the body, hence the extreme fatigue, lack of motivation and focus. Your body is going through an increased response of side effects from withdrawl, as you've been of this medication for a year which is why your symptoms may be more exaggerated.
Avatar n tn My daughter is nearly 11 years old and has been taking Concerta (now on 36mg) since March. The doctor recommended a switch to Strattera for the reason that it works 24 hours (Concerta is effective for only 12 hours) and will help my daughter concentrate more. I have no idea whether Strattera is a better alternative, can anyone tell me if this is true?

When we went to see his specialist, 6 days ago, he'd lost 4.5 lbs (in 40 days).

I have chest heaviness on and off, too. Normal Range 0.40-5.00 and my results last week were 4.63.
