I can see being on V and perhaps adderall in the late after noon. Or concerta and ritalin in the late afternoon. Since the Concerta/ritalin are the same type of meds. Same thing for Vyvannse and Adderall. Point being, why was the V not working for you? What symptoms did you have. I would think that the two could have been over dosing you. Did you ever try just V alone?

couldnt interpret what people were wanting from me. i heard them but just panic mode set in. i want to know could it be an side effect of the concerta? i also had a few panic attacks and i have never had one of them. i also had some mania feelings. like the energizer bunny. my brain wouldnt slow down and my body was like pumping. today i have energy and organized. yesterday, i was in like a melt down mode. my brain again was foggy, tired and all i wanted to do was sleep. ugh!!! any advice!!

Hello, I'm 19 years old and just got diagnosed, as one would say, with ADD/ADHD rather recently. I was given a prescription for Concerta 36mg to be taken daily. This is the third week taking it and I have been noticing some odd side effects. On days when I take it in the morning and don't eat I feel nauseous and generally off, which I was warned about prior so it doesn't worry me as much. However, I have also noticed quite a difference in my mood.

We have finally found a medication that allows my boy to have success in school, but the negative side effects are outweighing the postive response to the meds. Has anyone heard of the appetite returning after a time?

Witch is a side effect to concerta and can not be reversed .They can only give you medicine to try and control the seizures. I wish we had never put my son on these medicines.We found out in 2006 that my son was having seizures and he still is and medicines is not working even thou he takes 4 now and at one time he was on 6 medicines and still didn't work.

But he takes it because he says it makes him feel better and he can get going for a while until side effects kick in like terrible fatigue . He describes it as 100% at one point of the day down to 0% at it's low point. My son is sweet and soft and fun but on this his personality changes. Unless, you had started taking something like Prozac or Paxill, which allows it to build up in your system. But the side effects would be different. Also some things like orange juice taken within one hour of the medication will block its effectiveness. And a high protein diet breakfast will make it more effective. So thats something that you can easily try. My first thought would be sleep apnea. Lack of sleep at night can seriously mess you up.
