Interesting, I can find no mention of a 32mg dose of concerta. Is he on a 36 mg dose? if he is, "The maximum dosage of Concerta should not be greater than 0.9 mg per pound of body weight."
fish oil is certainly something worth trying. There are ones out there developed specifically for kids (chewable, etc), and they will have the suggested dosage on the bottle.
I really can't see any reason that primrose (I assume the oil) would be worth your money.
The adderall, at 25 mg, has not affected him at all with adverse symptoms. He sleeps well, eats well, etc. Perhaps, Concerta at this high of a dose, has made the drug "not right" for him anymore since he has developed new tactile, crying, etc symptoms. I would make an appointment with the doctor and discuss these new symptoms. He could be developing depression because of these new symptoms.

I have child that was also on Concerta 36. There are two types of this medication. Concerta and Concerta CR which is controller release, I believe it was called. However, I found that concerta is not a very effective drug for dealing with ADHD.
You might want to have the school give her the second dose at 1pm at school, this way it will avoid the medicine lapsing while she is at school.
I'm not sure if Concerta is working for me? I'm a 20 year old female and I was recently diagnosed with ADD. I was prescribed with 18mg of Concerta, once every morning. My son had that saem issue with Concerta and he was bigger and on a lower dose. SOmetimes they will give a short acting low dose stimulant to get through this period. My son took 2.5 mg of Focalin at around 4 pm, and it helped tremendously. He now takes Focalin XR instead of Concerta becasue when he hit puberty he started having major issues with Concerta.
I don't think the dose is too high, the dose is actually pretty low for me, it's just enough to work. I do however don't really eat breakfast. Or much at all. I'll see if eating breakfast helps but both of my medications kill my appetite on top of me being somebody prone to not eating much. Thank you.
I brought him back to the Dr and they put him on Concerta...we started at a low dose and now after changing the doses and given it time he is up to 54mg. and that did the trick, but once he got home from school he was out of control again. So we went back to the docs in September for a med check and I explained everything to the Dr we decided to try a low dose of Methalyn 15mg for 1 o'clock to get him through the night.
Dude, are you sure you are on 105mgs of Concerta. That is a huge dose! Or are you taking the med twice a day when it is only meant to be taken once a day?
And yes, it does restrict the appetite. You need to have a really big breakfast before the med kicks in. Then for after school have protein bars or protein drinks that can be easily eaten (whether you are hungry or not).
but mainly, let me know about that dose. The max is listed as 54mgs once a day.
During this time, the Concerta dose moved up 3 times and was given a new script. Some of these scripts were turned in during the same month.The doctor added on ritalin on a separate script one month. I have turned in these prescriptions mostly to the same pharmacy, but when at Walmart I have turned them in there. When turning in my last prescription, the pharmacist stated she would not fill out the script because I have gone to Walmart and my prescription has been given to me too early.
I take Abilfy, Topomax, Wellbutrin and Concerta. I go to the gym 3x week and try to watch what I eat. I am always tired!!!! Any suggesstions?
I wonder because it sounds like a bit of an over dose. The smallest dose is 18 mg and it can last for 8 hours. I would definitely let your doctor know what is going on, and if she is on the smallest dose (doc should have started her on that) - I would try another med. His pediatrcian has put him on 56 mg of Concerta with an addicional 19 mg while at school and 10 mg after school so we can get through homework. We recently started seeing a psychatrist and he said the school meds are way too high and should only take at most 56mg for school. He seemed ok on the higher dose. What should I do?
i'm 17 and i take concerta (ritalin) which the medication is released from the capsule in different amounts during the day. when i wake up at 6:45 to go to school sometimes i don't eat but i always take my pill, which makes me feel sick or not hungry or have a headache. should i take a lower dose if it makes me feel bad?

Im a 19 years old boy and i have tried vyvanse which did miracles at first at 20mg until the effect decreased and had to go up to 60mg with no effects except the bad ones and went back to my old self(lazy, tired, unmotivated etc.). I am now on concerta 36mg and it seems like working but not all the time and clearly not as much as first time vyvanse.
I looking for a coupon for the dose of 27mg. This medication has a co-pay of $50.00. I have insurance and this is a ridiculous and outragous price for co-pay for this medication. Where can I go and get a 27mg coupon for concerta. Because I looked up is for 18mg and 36mg. Pharmacy will not take this coupon.
