If there was any long term effects, it would easily have been noticed by now. What has been noticed by the way, is what happens if you do have ADHD and don't get proper treatment (meds and behavioral modification techniques). You self medicate, and tend to have much more depression and anxiety then the person who got treatment.
Will he continue to drop weight if he stays on this medication? How long is too long to stay on the medication? Can he be in it for long term?
When he skipps his medication he's back to his old ways...he's hyper, anger, upset, etc so I fear the thought of taking it away but also am concern if taking it for too long could harm him?

t last long enough - dose is low. If it lasts too long - dose is high. Concerta should last for about 8 hours. Was he having his speech problems all day long or only more so in the afternoon?
What made you decide to lower his dose? I had assumed that these problem happened before you lowered the dose?
Yes that class of medications has the potential to cause tardive dyskinesia which is a long term movement disorder. One way it can express it itself is tardive tourettism which is clinically similar to Tourrette's in the way it presents itself but not in cause. These concerns can persist after the medication is no longer being used as well.

Is what she is doing harming the development of my boys in any way? I am very concerned. I am worried that her actions may have long term affects on our boys.
My last question ties into the other two. The oldest is struggling in school. He is in fourth grade, has already failed one grade, and has been in danger every other year. She is trying to say it is his A.D.H.D. but I am unsure. He almost seems as if he does not want to do it, or like he is bored from it.
